    Doing it the second method, after you get your wanted result with the x-form, could you intersect curve on the x-form in order to generate a line then move body the x-form so that the furthest up point in the z-axis matches on both?

      Yes you can. 100%. I have done that in the past. That way you get that area right where you want.
