  • Here is a basic start to a massive subject.
Surface complexity has more to do with good modeling technique than anything else. It affects everything downstream so it is very important to make your surfaces as clean as possible.

    Hi Steve,
Just wanted to say thanks for making this video; great explanations! I'm an Alias modeler in the Auto industry. Looking forward to your upcoming vids. Appreciate it!

I would like to see the creation process of any concept designs, which will show more skills and opportunities, linked to real jobs. For example, step-by-step modeling of the car body .

      Thanks for the comment.
I am putting together training material and doing classes with ASE Institute in the coming months for that level of detail. I will inform my subscribers once classes go live.

Sir,Thank you for sharing this topic.if you got time Could you make one more video on b- surface information where C0,C1,C2 SEAM concept create gap between multiple patch when we check by surface continuity for g1,g2 & how to solve that problem?

I have a doubt. Do you know if "realize shape" workbench is used on f1 or automotive world? or just the conventional surface workbenches for modeling. I see in some cases very complex shapes and I see that very diffficult to make with the general features (studio surface, blends etc.. Even x form or I form. I´d like to know this, Regards!

Hello Steve. If you need inspiration for a new video, I would like to know more about the surface continuity tool. What do the G1, G2 and G3 values in the graphics window mean and how do I interpret them in order to achieve a disired continuity. Thanks and best regards, Simon.

Thanks Simon I will make a series about this. It is a very confusing subject. I have already made some about the subject but I can always expand.
      All the best

when the surface has knot is it a NURBS? then when you make 2 surfaces does NX use Bezier?

I have a few ideas. My training academy is almost on-line. I will be doing workshops on the subject and many more soon.
