As far as improvement for allergy problems, just four days of diligent daily routine of head to toe dry brushing and my breathing channels have opened to full capacity! I feel twenty years younger!head and neck dry brushing has had greatest impact.
Dry brush head from centerline of face outward toward ears with soft brush very gently several times. From ears toward back of neck and downward. From lower jaw down front of neck. Go with grain of hair growth.
Thanks for this video. I purchased the softest brush for dry brush and I am following your steps. Doing light flickering. I can’t believe it’s that simple!
L Riggs McAngus here’s a link to the set I have. It’s less than $20 and it’s a dry brushing set for your whole body. All that really matters is that you have a natural bristle. Synthetic bristles are going to be the ones that scratch and irritate the skin. www.amazon.com/dp/B07YD7ZS59/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_o5VUEbYDMNVZG
I know this is a older video I just came across I’m 52 and just starting my journey to a healthier and better me the natural way without any chemicals would this work for aging crinkling saggy neck? I know the only true fix is surgery but I don’t want to do anything invasive I just want to try to see if that skin can be tightened just a little better..And how do you know if this is actually working for drainage are you supposed to feel anything
L Riggs McAngus not really. Gua sha is a much better method. Personally, I feel like you need both. I dry brush my whole body twice a week (on the days I wash my hair) and gua sha everyday after my regular shower. There are a lot of helpful videos on RUclips to help you get started. Dry brushing my body + face takes me a max of 10 min (I spend the most time on my face). Gua sha takes about 10 minutes as well. Honestly, they’re small commitments but I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Hi there! Any kind of lymphatic drainage is going to help with overall skin integrity, including firmness. Gua Sha and gemstone rolling (done properly - technique is everything) can be very helpful as well. Something else to look up is connective tissue massage (upward strokes, medium pressure) vs. lymphatic drainage (downward strokes, little to no pressure)!
This is Iris Hantverk's how to on cleaning their brush. She is using corn starch. I think arrow root powder would do the job as well. ruclips.net/video/NUL1AQj-krM/видео.html
Hi there! Great question. Don't ever go over active pustules with the brush but you can definitely brush AROUND them and lymphatic drainage will prevent, treat, and heal acne.
That's not true you need to clear lymph closest to the nodes first, then move further away so the outer lymph has somewhere to flow, and then once you are the furthest you bring it all back close to the nodes again. Start close to the nodes, even massage them first to get stuff loosened to move.
We don't ever go directly over the nose because there are no lymph nodes on the nose itself. HOWEVER there are many nodes around the nose along the cheeks. Making sure to properly drain from the middle of the face outwards will do the trick.
I definitely don't recommend "washing" the brush in the traditional sense - no water and soap. This can can cause moisture to get trapped in the bristles and very quickly degrade the quality of the brush. Instead, dip in something like arrowroot powder or bentonite clay, swish around, and then tap out all the excess!
It depends on what you're going for! There are many ways to do Gua Sha - for lymph drainage, for connective tissue massage - and they each require different techniques. What were you hoping to achieve?
Many Dermatologists are not fond of this practice and believe it can do more harm than benefit. Apparently, it causes micro-abrasions and can be irritating for sensitive skin. It also cause more itchy skin over time due to Histamine release from skin trauma. In some cases can cause over production of melanin. This is why considering options is important before doing something potentially damaging.

Wonderful! So happy to hear it.
@eonoe11, how do you dry brush your head????????? Thank You, for your reply in advance.

Well explained. This is what i am looking for. How many times each area and each side, best time to do dry brushing, etc. 😊
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed.
Thank you! Do you have a video for body dry brushing?

Woah.. my cheeks got nice and rosy after this! ☺
Thanks!❤
To Nos CCP: Which cheeks?
Would this help indented scarring from past acne?
Great video for educating my patients. Thank you!
Would this be the same thing you would do with a gusha tool as well? Thankyou for the help
How much pressure should you use?
Is the e.l.f. cleansing face brush good for this? I just bought one and it's SUPER soft. I can't afford the brush you're using right now 😢

Same here. I just bought one at Sephora today. The ones on Amazon don’t look the greatest 🙂
Gabby, Will dry brushing work for biorbital edemas and festoons that have suddenly appeared from blepharitas?
Great video
My barber does this after cutting my hair, and I always wondered why it feels so good..

Great tutorial... would this technique be useful for under eye bags. Thank you in advance
Hi there! Yes, it definitely is. Under eye bags are an indication of lymph stagnation, and dry brushing will help get lymph moving.
Does this help with loose skin on the neck and chin/jaw?

The dry brush is After shower or before ?
Thank You!!!
Hi, i did on my face but my pores are bigger makes me scare
Thank you.
Thank you! how do you clean your brush? I have the same one but dont know how to clean it

Amanda has the right idea - use arrowroot, corn starch, or even kaolin or bentonite clay to clean.
@@brightbody I have so much kaolin so glad I can use it on the brush yay!
Thank you, any evidence of this helping tinnitus?
Hi there! Not sure. There are so many potential causes of tinnitus so I think it really depends.
That's a question to direct to your ENT specialist.
Lymphatic drainage can be a game changer with sinus infections, sore throats, cold and ear infections.
Is dry brushing risky for acne-prone skin? I’m on edge about getting a brush due to my blemishes!
Hi there! Great question. Don't ever go over active pustules with the brush but you can definitely brush AROUND them and lymphatic drainage will prevent, treat, and heal acne.
To Mr: Exactly. Then you have to worry about the cleanliness of the brush.
I would start at the higher part of the face first and finish with the neck last. That way you clear the lymph more effectively
That's not true you need to clear lymph closest to the nodes first, then move further away so the outer lymph has somewhere to flow, and then once you are the furthest you bring it all back close to the nodes again. Start close to the nodes, even massage them first to get stuff loosened to move.
What about nose?
We don't ever go directly over the nose because there are no lymph nodes on the nose itself. HOWEVER there are many nodes around the nose along the cheeks. Making sure to properly drain from the middle of the face outwards will do the trick.
Do you recommend washing face after with water? Our using a toner or oil afterwards?
Great question. You can wash after and the best thing to do is to use a cooling toner like our Ayurvedic Universal Toning Mist.
What about sinus pressure?
Absolutely, dry brushing will help with sinus pressure when done correctly.
How often should we wash the brush?
I definitely don't recommend "washing" the brush in the traditional sense - no water and soap. This can can cause moisture to get trapped in the bristles and very quickly degrade the quality of the brush. Instead, dip in something like arrowroot powder or bentonite clay, swish around, and then tap out all the excess!
does gua sha give the same results?
It depends on what you're going for! There are many ways to do Gua Sha - for lymph drainage, for connective tissue massage - and they each require different techniques. What were you hoping to achieve?
I bought this brush and it's too soft

🙏
"don't poke yourself in the eye" immediately poked myself in the eye lol!
That's me, trying to brush my hair but getting my face when I'm drunk, who knew I was achieving something...
👍
Thank you🙏💕 you're such a cutie. 😁
Play at 1.75 and thank me later 🥰
Pleasepleasepleaseplease please talk, in person, to a professionally qualified Dermatologist before doing any such thing like this.
What are your concerns?
Many Dermatologists are not fond of this practice and believe it can do more harm than benefit. Apparently, it causes micro-abrasions and can be irritating for sensitive skin. It also cause more itchy skin over time due to Histamine release from skin trauma. In some cases can cause over production of melanin. Why use a brush -- use your hands.
