I just listened to a 3 hour long paid lecture by my local physical therapist about the lymphatic system! The whole system is very complicated, but the lecture was interesting and insightful with lots of theory and practical tips. If I hadn't seen your videos about the importance of breath, dry brushing and stimulating neurolymphatic points, I wouldn't have joined the class!
Inspiration to get back on my rebounder! I love dry brushing followed by abhyanga (self massage with different oils depending on the season)before a shower. No excuses about not enough time now!
The lymphatic system is something I really want to learn more about, so this video was especially interesting for me. The neurolymphatic points sound so intriguing. Thanks for the thorough steps for dry brushing - that will make my dry brushing routine even better!
I love dry brushing! Can’t wait to add some bouncing to my mornings 🙌 also a big anatomy nerd so I really enjoyed the neurolymphatic points - thank you for sharing!
Loved this...watched yesterday and rewatched this morning before I got out of bed. I did slow breathing worked the lymphatic points. I love learning about little tips like this. I am hoping to make this a habit. I have been dry brushing but it isn’t consistent. Going to try to be better with that! Thanks so much for this!!
Great tips. I tried dry brushing for exfoliation and it felt awesome. Had no idea it had lymphatic benefits as well. I'll start doing it again. And, I'll start with my face too.
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve really been missing one of my favourite instructors. She is ALL about the lymphatic system. In our yoga tune up classes and yoga classes she teaches us about brushing, bouncing, and working on areas that we don’t even think about. We use coregeous balls and blocks to help with alignment and bring breath and blood flow to these areas. I have tried searching for similar yoga classes online. But she’s definitely one of a kind! These tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you:)
Ohhh!! Those are all my favorite tools by the wonderful and good friend, Jill Miller!! Love hearing that you're using them!! Thanks for moving and learning with me!
Absolutely incredible tips lovely!!!! Enjoying every single day of your helpful videos on ways to start healthy and vibrant!!! Will be aiming to incorporate these into my life more from now on! Absolutely unreal 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Wow. I love this so much. I need to watch this three times a week, every week, forever. And buy one of those brushes. I am taking a walk currentlythis is the only real exercise I got today but I started rubbing near the sternum and underneath my collarbones like you were showing !! Woohoo
This is great I had a scan recently and my lymphatic system was stressed. I'm going to try all this and definitely will be getting in my kids trampoline in the mornings for a bounce. Thankyou so much
@@ljlou5746 my naturopath gave me a scan using a device I forget the name I will find out but its to do with using the electric waves are body produces I think its called bio resonance testing
I knew about dry brushing, and I do it but not on a daily basis. I had NO IDEA it helped with the lymphatic system!!! I just thought it was for dead skin 😂 Thanks so much for this video! I love your enthusiasm 😊💕
Great video, just discovered you by accident and have subscribed! I feel like you taught me so many helpful tips in just a few minute's and I plan to start today. I wonder why our GP's don't talk about this at all? Surely prescription medications could be avoided in some cases if people were armed with the preventative knowledge in health to help them stay well to begin with. I'm recovering with long covid symptoms and feel like this information could help people understand how to help themselves. It's empowering to feel like I understand thing's that may be helpful for me moving forward for the rest of my life. Thank you. 😊
Loving this challenge and your RUclips channel! I really like the variety in this challenge spanning different ways to take care of ourselves. Thanks for bringing us back to basics to build a strong foundation on the breath always and teaching something new! Looking forward to creating the habit of incorporating the pinpoint stimulation massages throughout my day!
I loved learning about the neuro lymphatic points and those release techniques felt incredible! I also need to break out my dry brush and start utilizing it way more
The neurolymphatic point stimulation that is mentioned here is basically what acupressure and acupuncture is all about. Isn’t it funny how ancient medicine was centuries ahead of modern science?
Love, love, love this topic! I practice most of your suggestions but not consistently. Great reminder to keep up with them! The one I haven't done yet is dry brushing. Will give it a try. 👍
Great lesson. Already been doing these thing but should be doing them more often. My arms /shoulders get fatigued doing dry brushing so sometimes I don't get the whole body finished. Often forget dace for brushing but do a guasha facial massage as part of my daily cleaning just using a cotton pad. Then with E.oils later on. Applying clove & lime to around the jaw. I was just thinking I've been into health, mobility, strength, speed, endurance of fitness. Always aiming for the 5 levels of fitness & good nutrition. Since my early 20s with knowledge prior to that without very much. I am probably not as active as I should be of late. My point being despite all my intentions & actions I still have problems. And I was just thinking. I sincerely hope you don't get to my age & find qll you did & all you know didn't stop you ending up with "age related" health problems etc. I wouldn't say it didn't do me any good who knows. I could have been worse sooner. It certainly didn't prevent things I'd hoped it all would. Like becoming obese having type 2 diabetes. Having joint problems. The effort I've put in seemed well spent & I enjoyed every minute. Plus I won't stop but. Crap still does happen. Hope you stay in great shape.
I loved this. Very informative! I'm going to start doing this. Had a dry brush for years. Only used it to scratch my back when it itched. Ha ha ha Gonna start using it for it's original purpose. Thanks for this video, I'm going to subscribe!
Thanks for all the great information in this video. I never knew bouncing was so good for us. I read something recently about how jumping (box jumps, jump rope, jumping jacks, long jumps, etc) is actually good for our joints and it promotes more cushioning between them. I assume for dry brushing, you get brushes that have very soft bristles?
It's amazing the simple things that can be beneficial for our body. As long as you make sure the bristles aren't hard or harsh, that is the main thing! Soft bristles would work!
great collection of tips for the lymphatic system- I am just getting into dry brushing & was wondering if there is much research support for the effectiveness of dry brushing?
This is the most informative and easy to understand video guide on the 7 simple things to improve my body! 🙏🏼Thank you for sharing with JOY, Dr. Jen! 💖 You made me get up and start practicing now-you are contagious for good 🧠💪🏼👙
Hello, thanks so much for the great video! I was just wondering how long you would typically bounce in the morning approx? Thanks again for all the info!
I do all of your suggestions, with the exception of facial dry brushing: didn't realize I could use a brush ( I've been doing daily facial lymphatic massage but am going to invest in a brush for my countenance! Lol). I feel such a difference when I also do my rebounding in the morning & evenings... gotta push out those toxins!).
I’ve been rebounding and dry brushing in my evening routine but gonna start doing it before my strength training in the morning too. I’ve seen a difference in edema.
So even as a very heavy person with some inflammation issues found through thermography throughout most of my body but also a few cool places supposed to be warmer just jumping like you were is ok what about ankle inflammation is the jumping an issue without a rebounder. ND also recommended jumping rope and walking at least 45 mins a week with no rebounder. Also Chiropractic Care for my unalignment of hips and spine! And detoxing with supplements and keto/or other low carb diets. Dry brushing etc.
Walking and jump roping can be amazing ways to get fluids moving! Of course, you want to do it to your tolerance without increasing inflammation too much in the ankles!
Great video! Also would love to check out the workout video you recommended, but the link in video doesn’t work fir me. Can you please add another link here in comments?
I loved watching you but the belly section I was told my a lymphatic therapist that it should be brushed downward towards the lymph nodes at the groin and if you have issues at a certain lymph node you should brush away from it so that it can drain through another lymphatic area. Otherwise the stagnant node will continue to not drain.

It should be fine as the bouncing shouldn't be much more intense than heavy steps. If you have any major concerns, trying to see or consult with someone in person could be a great idea!

I've just discovered your channel and I'm into my first week of rebounding. Is it common or possible to have lymph nodes swell when starting due to drainage? I have a slightly sore swelling on my clavicle the last few days. Seems weird but this whole lymphatic drainage is new to me :)
Hmm that is interesting. If there have been fluids that haven't been moving around the body as easily, definitely could point to why you might be feeling something different. But it's hard for me to exactly say what is going on through comments! :) Glad you found the channel and hope you find other helpful tips!

What is your opinion of vibration plates?
Something that can stimulate lymph and down regulate your nervous system! Could be a good passive tool for relaxation and lymph stimulation.
This is so useful! I have been bloated / retaining liquids this whole week so I hope the bouncing everyday helps me out.
Be consistent with it and focus on those other behaviors that might be able to help you get rid of that extra liquid!

I have a question. I was specifically advised TO NOT DRY BRUSH IN CIRCLES. But you are doing it in circles?
As long as you are globally going distal to proximal overall, it should be okay!!
Ayurveda is expert in this area, circles on joints, upward motion towards the heart area...oiling, and oil pulling
Thank you for the tip on dry brushing! Never knew we could also dry brush out faces too!
Absolutely! Try it out!

Love the bouncing!! I love the idea of using it to warm up. I’ve tried dry brushing. Is it some thing that’s ok everyday?
Yup!!
I loved watching you but the belly section I was told my a lymphatic therapist that it should be brushed downward towards the lymph nodes at the groin and if you have issues at a certain lymph node you should brush away from it so that it can drain through another lymphatic area. That is a great point! We have large nodes in our hip and armpit areas that can help drain fluids from the core!
