The only reason I'm still driving low mount twins on my R33 is, that the police (germany) will instantly seize my car, when they see the turbo sitting on top, not looking stock :(

Man dont give excuses for the guy. Your car is just faster.. I made the switch from twins to single a year and a half ago..It's NIGHT AND DAY!! Keep the great content coming

@@CauseImFlawless Well if you want to keep the OEM look then you can find some twins that can push up to 700hp but.....For maintenance purposes and ease of work/ less headache/less heat in engine bay/cooler noises . Then Single is the way to go. Turbo technology has come a long way over the years so there are plenty of Big singles out there that would perform(spool time) as good/better than twins.
@@melbertpemberton1203 when you say "spool time", a single is more likely to lag than a twin? Or am I misunderstanding
@@CauseImFlawless Yes Big singles are usually laggier than twins..I went from stock twins to upgraded twins(650hp capability) then to big single. I prefer the big single by far

R34 turbos aren’t any bigger than R33 turbos. Garrett -5’s never came standard in any GTR
R34 N1 turbo's are the biggest of the Stock turbo's But you are Correct the -5s came in the Nismo R-Tune which ofc isn't a Stock Off the production line so to speak Gtr,
well it's great you've filmed the 2nd part as you've promised! Your first R33 video had about hundred of my views cause of the white one's amazing sound) So Jace, how about lots of upgrades you've done to yours - did they change sounding somehow?

Great video guys, love all the different camera shots you did. Cars look and sound amazing! I think if you add an HKS VCam to you twin turbos you would have the torque response to keep up!

Good video. The -5s are actually much bigger than R34 turbos and much laggier. It's well known in Australia that they're slightly too big for a stock rb26 in terms of lag but they still make good power. Add V-cam(not cheap) and up the boost it would be a weapon. The single turbo car is just way more responsive in this video and I think he was being much too generous in his assessment. Checkout the Motive DVD twins vs Single turbo video for reference of how much better a GTR is using a modern single turbocharger. Turbo technology has changed a lot over time.
Yeah 100%. -5’s a WAY bigger than R34 turbos and can make significantly more power.
Both sound epic. Proper RB sound
-5s are huge. -7s are r34 turbos. Man the yanks got some catching up to do haha
Yea... no thanks to a 25 year import law. Sucks! Where as Canada and AUS imported them over 10 years ago
7s aren’t even stock R34 turbos… They’re R34 N1 turbos. A lot of misinformation on the web so it’s easy to get confused.

The single turbo 33 has had considerably more cash spent on it vs the -5 twin setup at a glance (didn't watch the whole vid). If you've got the money, go single. I didn't, so stuck with -5 upgrades. Had a conversation before hand, the garage really wanted to fit a single on there but the price difference was around £5,000/6,000 more for a safe single turbo setup. I'm personally happy with -5's at 505whp. I may swap to single one day, but I sometimes feel it may devalue the car. Not sure though.

R34 N1 turbos = -7s. -5s too big man, they arent stock turbos and for 500whp you are better off going 2859r-9s with HPI dumps. Would have made similar power but with a fatter mid range (where you fell short). Twins arent bad by any means.

R32 may have won all the trophies but the R33 was quickier around the Nurburgring by a good margin
Need to get both of them on a dyno and see what kind of numbers they are making, as odds are there's a pretty big whp difference in each car. For a car to pull a full car length on another car takes quite a bit more power. The white R33 needs either a 'real' set of twins like Garrett Gen2 GTX2860R's or a single then this race would be a lot more interesting. As whatever those twins are on the white R33 its slow!
I cannot wait for my lawsuit goes through I'm so getting me an R32 I'll probably two of them just so I can have one for parts

My homie and I have a white silver 33's
Well u guys only did the rolling race twin turbo setup have better response if they tuned good so u have more torque in lower rpm also the chances getting off the boost is lower also in race track twin turbo setup with v cam will give u smoother and faster speed when existing turns. Overall I think twin will feel better big single turbo just doesn’t have any power till it hits 5000rpm and more and doesn’t feel good
Please tell us more about your experience with both setups, because outside of fantasy land, you're completely wrong. I currently have gt2860rs twin turbo's on my GTR and can tell you they are not as responsive, no where near, to my multiple friends who have modern big single turbos instead. I'm at 23psi on E85 with around 500hp to the wheels which start to wake up at 4000rpm and gets to full boost by around 4800, and friends with 30psi 600+hp single turbos hit full boost much sooner and hold for longer.

@@GORZ_RUclips I live in experience land my friend. I own a GTR and am around multiple GTR's in and amongst the best GTR workshops in the world, so please stop it, you're embarrassing yourself. We all know HKS and respect them, but even they don't hold a candle to Australian tuners when it comes to the RB platform. HKS make excellent products, and their demo cars which have V-cam are built on the premise of nostalgia brought into the modern era, thus they retain twin turbo setups. If you know what v-cam actually does, it makes sense that if you absolutely have to remain twin turbo, the v-cam helps greatly with low to mid-rpm response. Throw a modern single turbo on a V-cam setup and you go up in levels again compared to twin setups. There's a reason the mightiest GTR's in the world are all Australian, and are all single turbo.
All of this, coming from someone who still has twin turbos, so you can't even claim bias on my part. Just knowledge and experience with both. How about you?

I bet you can’t even describe how petrol engine works go play with ur friends then you bringing your engine with spun bearings pay us 30k to build it again that’s all you know about rb26 and petrol engines good luck

Yeah nah, -5s are already arguably too big for a standard 2.6. Anything bigger and the lag would be even worse not better. It would have been good to see them run the same boost level.
Its been proven time and time again, big single works best over twins regardless of size. The fastest skyline GTRs here in Australia (quickest in the world) all run singles there were afew that did big twins that eventually moved onto a single and went quicker.

Incorrect. Hi twins are gt2860r-5's, one of the biggest that can fit in the stock low-mount location.
