i wasnt able to test fly my Paraglider as i was alone but i did as you suggested and found that my brake lines were far too tight with an overhead attempt to launch it kept collapsing i have adjusted the brake lines now so that the chute pops up and with the tx in centre position from the old position of the brake lines to now a 50mm difference so with some help now fingers x she will fly best regards john
TEST UPDATE i took the p/g up my local patch and re set controls even reversed the servos incase i tried to get lift by trying to give it elevator and the result albeit briefly it did FLY whoopee i heard a crack and the motor mount snapped this of course let the prop hit the guard so a quick landing but nothing much to put it right stay tuned you guys who have helped me [ big thanks] hopefully a video to follow once again thanks a million
yes not too bad the x shape motor mount came loose and snapped 1 lug off hence the blade hit the guard but im also going to change the ESC to a 60 amp as im drawing more now with the 12" prop so i should soon be up and away [hopefully] john
ITS THAT TIME AGAIN I GOT TO GET IT FLYING THIS YEAR ALL REPAIRS DONE AND I HOPE IVE GOT THE AOA RIGHT WOULD ANYONE WHO HAS FLOWN ONE JUST GIVE ME SOME LAST MINUTE TIPS ON AT WHAT TO ATTACH THE LINES
Hi did the servo setup came with the gondola or in Google your best friend I use mode 2 controller I think that you must mix some in order to get the right functions Goede vlucht marcel
i have adjusted the lines as you have suggested and now the chute opens nicely and wants to fly but my power unit seems under powered i have a Turnigy3536 1400 motor and and a 11x7 prop is this suitable or any suggestion welcome
john wright must be suitable.. how many cells do you fly? maby a bigger prop? 12x6! you need a prop with more power then speed for this one. i always use a 12x6 prop for bigger projects. Have it on a 1.60 highwing trainer with 35-42 motor on a 3 cell with 60 amp esc and it capible of knife edge just because it has tons of power! Maby this setup up will work better for you. As this is a draggy thing in the sky it may be better to use a bigger esc just so it can cope with the amps the motor is asking!
many thanks for your advice wow yes more power now that will help also can you advise on radio set up ie standing behind it what arm goes up and down to stik imput
john wright setup is delta mixing! 2 servos working togerter. standing behind it.. if you put left aileron (mode 1 right stickt to left) the left servo should go down and the right on up. visa versa for right aileron. Brake is both servos down meaning it will pull the shute at the back making it to brake. On the trasmitter it is mode 1 right stick down. you can see in the video at 1:36 that we had our brake lines to short and that is what goint to happen if you brake so be carefull.
Rc Channel thanks again so far i have it as you have described so in fact [am i right ] if as flying fixed wing giving it elevator to climb with this model it acts as brake quiet the reverse then
john wright yes thats right but you can chose to push down to brake if you wish. It was the the best setup for me to fly and it felt natural becauce i did some kite flying for some year and pulling back on the bottem lines made it brake.
+salines70 We had it on a dx6i on that time delta mixing. Aileron and elevator yes! Beware... plulling on the 2 strings togehter will make it stop not go up!! If you want to got up add more throttle!!!
+Rc Channel I was just wondering because I have a Turnigy 4000mah battery and an NTM prop drive series motor and it seems to be to heavy for the parafoil itself any tips? thx
Depends on how strong your motor and esc setup is and what kind of prop you are spinning. If you have a 4000 mah 3s with a 3646 ntm motor and a 12x6 apc prop with a 60 amp+ esc you should have more then plenty of power!
+Rc Channel I am using NTM Series 3536-1400kv Brushless Outrunner Tower Pro MG946R Servos TURNIGY Plush 40amp Speed Controller Turnigy 4000mAh 3s 20c Lipo battery and a 13 x 10 master airscrew prop? The whole weight of the trike just seems to be to much weight for the parafoil to properly fly?
Tell something about your set up. Do you have a video so i can have a look? You have to use delta mixing to steer. maby set your servo travel 150% or use longer servo arms. It also needs quite strong servos.
hi thanks for getting back to me my set up is as per recommended ie hi torque servos hextronic hx12k motor aerodrive 3538 1300 turnigy i started off with same foil as in your picture but now have a preset a.o.a foil by KBELCAR all i was told was to sot up brake lines and use delta mix in my spektrum dx7 which i have done we have had it up but with no control prop 12x6 weight 1.7 kg
john wright Hhmm weird! Maby you should pull the lines more in! like you can see in the video at 0:38 we try to fly it but the gondola goes forward but the foil stays behind! that meens we have the brake line to thight. Try to get it to do that and from there work on forward. So try to make it brake hard and actually doenst fly and make your brake line on every try half a centimeter longer. As soon as it flies try and steer. your lines will be thight enougf to do that hopefully then. Keep in mind standing behind the foil and you left servo pulls down the paraglider will turn left and viasaversa.
Shinobi I dont know why they don't have 3-4 servo setup on this one. I think its to keep cost low. Maby there are rc paragliders with 3-4 servo setup. It works for this one and it a cheap setup to run. There is lots of space to make your own setup with 3-4 servo's if you wish! It's just gona take some building skils and know how about paragliders.
+Shinobi It exists with Opale for example. But for Hobbyking, with just a quick look at the trike and the wing, you can easily see that it is produced at lower costs, for lower customer price.
Finally, someone managed to fly a HobbyKing paraglider! ;)
Good job on getting her flying like the channel you got my Vote!
thank you! We will try to do some more video's again from this year on!
Nice 🖒
Awesome! I could never get the damn thing to gain altitude
i wasnt able to test fly my Paraglider as i was alone but i did as you suggested and found that my brake lines were far too tight with an overhead attempt to launch it kept collapsing i have adjusted the brake lines now so that the chute pops up and with the tx in centre position from the old position of the brake lines to now a 50mm difference so with some help now fingers x she will fly best regards john
Awesome video!!!!
+RCTech Battles Thank you!
TEST UPDATE i took the p/g up my local patch and re set controls even reversed the servos incase i tried to get lift by trying to give it elevator and the result albeit briefly it did FLY whoopee i heard a crack and the motor mount snapped this of course let the prop hit the guard so a quick landing but nothing much to put it right stay tuned you guys who have helped me [ big thanks] hopefully a video to follow once again thanks a million
john wright Eish John!!!! hope every thing is repaireble?? keep me posted! I,m glad you got it up in the air!
yes not too bad the x shape motor mount came loose and snapped 1 lug off hence the blade hit the guard but im also going to change the ESC to a 60 amp as im drawing more now with the 12" prop so i should soon be up and away [hopefully] john
the wings is to smal
Not good takeoffs but great flight with rocking music
Thanks! :)
;-) 👍 no problem
hi guys im back on the case of trying to get my hk bela trke airbourne can you please advise on tx settings and what does what please
ITS THAT TIME AGAIN I GOT TO GET IT FLYING THIS YEAR ALL REPAIRS DONE AND I HOPE IVE GOT THE AOA RIGHT WOULD ANYONE WHO HAS FLOWN ONE JUST GIVE ME SOME LAST MINUTE TIPS ON AT WHAT TO ATTACH THE LINES
Did you get her up? i was gone to Africa thats why i could reply just now!
Hi did the servo setup came with the gondola or in Google your best friend
I use mode 2 controller I think that you must mix some in order to get the right functions
Goede vlucht marcel
Je moet zelf je servo setup instellen! Er is een delta mixing voor nodig als je dat bedoelt :). Sorry voor de late reactie zat in het buitenland.
many thanks for your reply im sorry i didnt reply only just spotted it in myother mail box yes will try that many thanks
Whats the total weight of everything including batteries.
Just under 2 kg! :)
Ok thanks will try to make that weight :)
Long Range FPV Quadcopter .TBS Discovery Reanforce your landing gears. they will bend and buckel!
How do you move with 2 servos
1:34 second flight failed due to not enough trimming
what kind of motor did you use ?
Patrice( from France)
Turnigy D3536/6 1250KV you will need a 60 amp esc.
i have adjusted the lines as you have suggested and now the chute opens nicely and wants to fly but my power unit seems under powered i have a Turnigy3536 1400 motor and and a 11x7 prop is this suitable or any suggestion welcome

have spektrum dx9 2servo alettoni elevator????
+salines70 We had it on a dx6i on that time delta mixing. Aileron and elevator yes! Beware... plulling on the 2 strings togehter will make it stop not go up!! If you want to got up add more throttle!!!
WHAT PROP ARE YOU RUNNING
It was a 13x6 wood bit to big but it worked
How much dose it weigh
Its to long ago to recal.. sorry!
thanks very much will do i will let you know how i get on
What Battery Motor and servos are you using? thanks!
+Peak Chair (peakchair2002) 5000mah 3s battery, any standerd size servo and a 3536 1100 KV motor will do.
+Rc Channel I was just wondering because I have a Turnigy 4000mah battery and an NTM prop drive series motor and it seems to be to heavy for the parafoil itself any tips? thx

And I am having difficulties launching whats the best way to launch?
i have tried to get mine to fly but cant seem to be able to steer it can you give me any help

john wright sorry i ment at 1:30
Rc Channel are you in the UK could i let you try it out thanks anyway im getting a better picture of what i got to do to get it to fly
Why are none of the paragliders anywhere 3-4 servo setups?
Real paragliding wings have a brake line and a line to accelerate.
Shinobi I dont know why they don't have 3-4 servo setup on this one. I think its to keep cost low. Maby there are rc paragliders with 3-4 servo setup. The music made me not watch this!
press mute :)
How do you move with 2 servos
+salines70 setup is like a delta plane. U use 2 servos for up and stearing. See comments below on setup.
It changes rhe airfoil generating lift in different ways
