Damn kookies went clean over his head 😮
Well now you gotta listen to Madvillainy. It’s the best one.
DOOM was a once in a lifetime talent. A transcendent emcee, producer and creator. I got into his music when Joey Bada$$, CAPITAL STEEZ and Pro Era hit the scene. They would rhyme over his beats, so I did my homework and looked into his catalog. I’m glad I did. RIP DOOM.
RIP Steez n Subroc
@WestsidePiFF Joey and Steez are how I found DOOM too.
That's dope I got into Doom from Tyler the Creator (specifically the song Odd Toddlers from his mixtape Bastard) a few years prior so when I heard Pro Era doing it I was already caught up. Also Wiz sampled Doom on Kush and OJ which I heard around the same time I was listening to Odd Future
“If I had a dime for every rhymer that bust guns, I’d have a cool mil for my sons in trust funds”
One of the most creative rap albums ever made. Its just so hip hop and all the creative sampling is just genius.
RIP to the Metal Face Finster
Facts 🙏🏾💯
RIP to MF DOOM’s brother DJ Subrock.
💯🙏🏾🙏🏾
RIP his son Malachi too
@@twite5462 damn! Did not know that. That’s beyond sad.
@@steelersluv True Indeed!
Subrocks death is what created the Mad Villain! Zeb Luv X's 'MF DOOM' maybe hands down be the greatest MC arc in history! 💯👑
RIP Subroc and Malachi. DOOM's the Michaelangelo of our generation
Doom makes songs that you could listen to 10 times and on the 11th time still be picking up new references
1000th time even
DOOM produced all tracks, except: Pot Holderz (Count Bass D), One Beer (Madlib), and Kon Queso (PNS(Molemen)).
and yes, you should do Operation Doomsday
and Subroc produced Hoe Cakes
I discovered weed and DOOM at the same time. I used to smoke weed and ride the city bus listening to DOOM , getting immersed in the albums and character. I think King Geedorah "Take Me To Your Leader " is my favorite now. Although that's changed a few times over the years.
It always changes 🤯
@mikemr..3602 I wish Vaudeville Villain and Take Me to Your Leader got love because they're incredible albums . I don't know when it became popular for everybody to dick ride Madvilainy so hard. You'll be hard pressed to find a reaction or review of his albums outside of Madvillainy and MMFood.
@@VeegovonDOOM 4 me D00M is the only artist I can't pick a fav album...I got N2 him real late but now I can't go a week w/o ▶️ 1 album 🎧
The sample come from a group from Budapest. The name of the group is called Cortex. The name of the song is “Huit Octobre 1971.” It’s actually pretty dope.
Thanks for that info; I had to go hear the original after all the rappers I've heard sampling it. Wouldn't have guessed it was a Jazz song. I really liked it.
@@troygale7976 it’s pretty smooth, and you’re most welcome.
Cortex + Madlib = 🔥
I like the way Madlib did it on Jaylib too. Plus Dilla ripped that.
I just listen to
The sample sometimes it’s crazy
MF DOOM Born Like This 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love to have someone from a younger generation appreciating shit like this.🔥🔥🔥🔥 Love from Norway
Love 💪🏾🇳🇴
Black Moon respect!!!
Yes you should definitely react to Operation Doomsday. I also recommend his album Vaudeville Villain under his other alias Viktor Vaughn
Vv1's my personal fave doom album
Bet 🔥🔥
hell yeah, viktor vaughn (vaudeville villain) needs a reaction
@@stepheng1523 Same!
Deep fried frenz gotta be my favorite mf doom song fr
The sample on that song 🔥🔥
I Never listened to this guy until you did a Reaction back in the Day. See , Son This is what Hip Hop is All About. I appreciate the Assist. May ALLAH be pleased with MF Doom. Peace
Ameeen
For me he’s the coldest. Me and my friend followed him round the UK and did 4 shows in a row, Manchester London Brighton Bristol. I was also there when doom did his first show in the uk for years. It was at the roundhouse, oh and he sent out an imposter to start the show. Him and Marshall are the two on the pinnacle for me.
you should go look up the original version of Kookies on YT. DOOM originally sampled Sesame Street and eventually they sued so they had to re release Mmm. Food with a different beat for Kookies. its way better than the version available now.
I remember someone told me to do that too. Imma check that version out 💯🔥
@@KingAhmadTvyeah word I mentioned it.
My favorite album of The Villain's...
Instant classic, and truly nostalgic at this point in time. Thanks for the video homie! Much love man, RIP to The Illest Villain
Bro I'm so glad to have seen your reaction that it was so much like mine and everything i expected. I told you that man was a genius and an artist in his own right. This was a masterpiece but yes you will find more gems in the other suggested albums. Have fun listening!
Food =Hip Hop.. BEATZ+ Bars .. he was saying society needs good Hip Hop like the body needs MMM good food
The last track originally had a different sample, which in my opinion is way better. Look it up! It’s definitely on RUclips.
Been watching a lot of DOOM reactions lately, especially some of your older ones. This couldn’t have come at a better time! (Btw it’s wild seeing how much older you look in these newer videos than the ones I first saw years ago 😂). Good shit bro!
I’m getting old fosho 😂😂👴🏾 appreciate u tho champ!
Definitely give Operation Doomsday and Viktor Vaughn=Vaudeville Villain a listen. Trust me.....peace!!
Hoe Cakes he used Anita Baker and JJ Fad samples....The Coldest
No Subroc made that beat
@@Cyktar 👍
Doom was ELITE!
All Caps
Mincemeat
Crosshairs
Books of War
MF DOOM's flow and rhyme game is bizarre. RIP ❤️🙏🏽
D00M style was IDGAF what every1 else is doing
Good Job Young King, DOOM is the premier hip hop experience. Next up, KING GEEDORAH us please.
Someone else mentioned "Dwight Spitz" from Count Bass D, I second that album for sure, he was a close associate of DOOM and one helluva producer. "Dwight Spitz" came out around the time of this album so them being inspired by each other really shows.
You should react to Vaudeville Villain bro. Probably his best imo.
MF DOOM is a goat Rip.
“Beef Rap” is my favourite DOOM track. The flow’s sensational
Btw the version of Kookies you heard on this wasn't the original version, the original had cookie monster samples that some 10+ years after release caused DOOM legal problems, causing him to redo the song, the original is on RUclips and is worth a listen, imo it's better than the new version
"How did Doom rap with this mask on?" he didn't always do it. If you look closely at the album cover the real Doom is under the table reading while the Doom on the center of the cover is a Doom bot. This is a reference to something he did where he would book shows and find someone of similar build to him to go to the shows in a mask and lip sync the performance.
Angelika goes by Stahhr now. She doesn’t really rap much anymore. 4-Ize (4 eyes) is a fixture in the Atl underground scene. He’s been around forever, used to be down with Ludacris and DTP. That song was produced by Doom and done when he used to live in Atlanta for a sec.
Check out MM...FOOD! The Movie on RUclips. Its shows almost all of the samples used and tells the story visually.
MF DOOM is like the 11th Wutang member or a student of the Wu that learned from outside of the class. Like a student who stood outside in the hall and looked through the classroom door window and took notes 📝 studied and passed but he wasn't apart of the class...or...another thought..like Ol dirty that could rap rap without the wildin out just Mc'd no singing or nothing just rapped
I would say he was more similar to Kool Keith than wu tang
Count Bass D album Dwight Spitz is worth checking out. He made all the beats on that
Classic 👏
1. nas
2. Pac
3. Jay
4.eminem
5.biggie
6.Big L
7.mf doom
8. Kool g rap
9. Kane
10. Jadakiss
Thats my list.
Quality list 🔥🔥
I like that list , not neccesarily in that order...big pun is up there too. ... theres a lot of others too.. but thats a good list
ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name 🎭
KRS ONE over all
-The mask from Gladiator.. lol.. DOOM was wild for that
-"Hoe Cakes" samples "Supersonic" by JJ Fad and "Sweet Love" by Anita Baker... the beat box is from the beginning of "Supersonic" by JJ Fad
-Count Bass D pronounced (Count Base D).... a play off of the musician Count Basie
-I had the original album that had the original Kookiez, that sampled the ending credits of Sesame Street.... soooo dope
This is what Hip Hop was teaching us new phrases, thoughts and words, theory, creativity etc. Peace fam
Don't forget to checkout more food and the leftovers tapes
Also the chic on Guinness goes by stahhr the emcee (sometimes femcee) if you wanted to find more music....or just wait til you hear Still Dope on born like this
Congrats on 70k subs!
Appreciate my guy 💯💪🏾💪🏾
The opening dialogue is from the movie "Wild Style", if you haven't seen it you should watch it immediately
The rhyme style you're thinking of is called multi-syllable rhyming...kool g rap is often credited for making that a thing but you can see it in rappers as early as kool moe dee....g rap, big pun and Eminem are usually considered the best at doing this, and most rappers that are considered great can do this as well.
DOOM I identify with. Man lost his brother and just went homeless for years, this world beats you down man
incredible reaction as always you rock!!
Got to listen to Operation Doomsday. Another goated album from Doom 🙏🙏🙏
can you consider reacting to K-Rino perpetual ascension I would go with the lyric video to really follow along thank you.
"DOOM...In love with Mary Jane, she's my main thing (Rick James song)
Pulled her right from that web head, what a lame brain" (Web head meaning Spiderman...now Mary Jane also meant Spiderman's girl) 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The instrumentals in the middle are about "eating rappers" without getting indigestion from eating all that garbage.
❤ DOOM set the bars so high for lyricists. Top 5 G.O.A.T. all day
Maaaaan, MM....FOOD is an incredible display of the obtuse mind DOOM possessed. From concepts, lyrics, and even delivery, Dumile was one of one. Man, would love to see you listen to Binary Star Masters of the Universe album,
Love this album! A couple of other creative albums from this era: Arrhythmia by Antipop Consortium (one of these guys is on vaudeville villain) and of course King Geedorahs Take me to your leader where Doom makes all the beats. Also, the look on your face on Kon qeuso😂 We've all been there
There was a Doctor Doom oneshot issue that came out in May of this year that starts off with a quote from a track off of Madvillainy and it's really fucking cool
It's totally standalone too if anybody wants to track down a copy just for the novelty of it
The first song is sampled from Spider Man and his Amazing friends (which had many sounds to sample from, like many cartoons did)
these album only grow on you the more you l[isten to them gj reaction
MF doom, Mos Def, Gza, and Pharoah monarch would have been hot on a song together !
That would’ve fed families 😂🔥🔥🔥
@@KingAhmadTv facts!
King Geedorah (his alter ego)/Take me to your leader
Lol, I just watched the Spiderman and X-Men/97 seasons a month ago so I remembered the references. 😎
Don't forget to checkout more food and the leftovers tapes
25:56. Who was that? That was Grover from Sesame St
Fig leaf bi carbonate is a beat made for ghostface killa if i do believe
One of the deep fried frenz samples came from the 1980s weather channel theme song
Suga Free Street Gospel Album Reaction
Mann !! We wouldn't see Ahmad he would be on the phuckin floor 🤣😂
hey , if you like the beats he has a bunch of instrumental albums from the songs he did called "metal fingers presents: special herbs" .. a bunch of them
CLASSIC ALBUM !!!!!
Whodini - Friends. Classic
Check out the Victor Vaughan album
25:45 ghostface got on this song
I was done the third time you said "bruh"
Not even a minute in
You gotta check out Madvillainy and Dangerdoom
For bars over the Fig Leaf Bicarbonate beat check out MF Grimm - Dragons Blood + Cayenne = 1000 Degrees 🔥
You need to do a reaction to DangerDOOM DOOM and Dangermouse from Gnarls Barkley. It got appearances from Ghost face, Taleb Kweli and Ceelo Green. You won't be disappointed guaranteed.
First DOOM album I actually liked and understood what the hell was going on back when I first gave him a shot around 2007-08...been my favorite rapper since
I've been following DOOM since he was Zev Love X on KMD true fans know the origin story.
Your reaction, WHAT MOVIE WAS THAT, lmao!
Yeah when Potholderz comes on.. it’s such a bop🔥
STYLES P-GANGSTA AND A GENTLEMAN!!!!!!!!
Yea he doesnt know what hes missing..its ok i think he will get to it. He doesnt get that alot of real dudes were sayin hes the best rapper alive when that album dropped
You need to go back to the Genesis. Review 3rd Bass gas face 🤪 & peach fuzz and who me by KMD RIP Zev love X 🕊️🙏🏿
THANKS FOR THIS!!! THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!
Awesome video/stream!❤ I love this album! It's so fun to listen to. You should check out: The Unseen by Quasimoto (aka Madlib) it's an amazing album!
DOOM was rappin like this before Eminem, this album was early 2000s along with his other legendary albums
Check out Loaded Lux and Arsonal on Sway in the morning if you already haven't. Classic freestyle
Also, they not rhyming words, they are rhyming syllables
That melody is from and old cartoon...I wanna say Superfriends, but I'm not sure.
New favorite RUclipsr ❤
I did not know u could buy the mf doom mask😂
I didn’t either 😂🔥 I got it off of Amazon lol
Gladiator masks
93210 Cremin Roads
Syble Glen
I wonder how he cleared all those samples? 🔥🔥🔥
That’s what I’m saying 🤦🏾♂️🔥
He didn’t, it was independent and under the radar, which means law suits through out the years (if they were spotted)
Reymundo Ranch
Count Bass D, Bass like Base not B-ass
Hoe cakes samples the song "supersonic" by JJ Fad, the best box is sampled
DOOM is incredible. That’s all there is to it. RIP
Also you should look up “Rhymes like dimes” HEAT
Bennie Pike
Danger Doom next
