if you check the stats for nerds on the video it's actually 1300x1080 which is some screwy 65:54 aspect ratio, between 1:1 and 4:3. i have no idea why though

Oh no! Haha, yeah- the first hour of blender is really intense if you don't have anyone walking you through it. There are lots of good intro tuts out there, but it really does start making sense once those first bits come together. And for what it's worth, hit "G" for "grab" to move the cube. Then try hitting X, Y, or Z to move it on a specific axis (it's "G" instead of "M" for "move" because most of the frequently used hotkeys are designed to let you keep your left hand in a neutral position on the keyboard). "R" is rotate, and "S" is scale.
My friends and family have always been fake to me. But honestly ever since I added moths to them, it has been nothing but realism from them. Thank you Ian Hubert.
I use Maya for work and never even touched Blender before, but still, your videos are really inspiring. All the core idea that can be applied to other non-blender softwares are here. Love your stuff!
@@MoonProds 5820k, 96GB of ram and a VEGA64. While I am not a heavy user for Blender, each time I try to learn it, it crashes over the most simple material tweaks, so, I'm stick with Modo in the meantime, also, blender is extremely slow for rendering, in comparison with Modo.
