Hey, heroes! I'm streaming on Twitch again this weekend! On Saturday I'm continuing my very first playthrough of Final Fantasy II, then on Sunday, it's Lego Marvel Avengers! www.twitch.tv/merrymarvelite
I only recently started reading their stuff, and I honestly have no idea why the Power Pack is so obscure. They do eserve more recognition from what I've seen.
The power pack was my first physical comic book. I forgot which issue but it was the power pack stopping mystique at a convention with I believe the help of beast. Sadly they’re often used as cheap shock value nowadays when I see them mentioned or incorporated in the wider marvel universe such as in deadpool kills the marvel universe to show how “dark” and edgy the story is by offing some kids.
@@johnlawful2272 It was both versions of dreadpool, they love offing these poor kids lmao. The original and the dreadpool in the modern marvel universe where he also butchered devil dinosaur and moon girl with some other young heroes at a playground no less.
@@rhameseshamilton8045agreed, one of the few teams that perfectly fit with the modern disney marvel pg themes. I loved reading POWER PACK as a young teen, especially their encounters with the other superheroes of the MARVEL Universe. I was waiting for you to post a video essay on POWER PACK. Thanks for that. Keep up the great work. Can't wait for the next video.
Marvel's youngest superhero team...I enjoyed their team-ups with the X-Men, the Avengers, Cloak and Dagger, and the world-famous Fantastic Four respectively. I like their stories in the main Marvel Universe (Earth-616), but I also like them in Earth-5631, the All-Ages Universe.
I often wondered what ever happened to them as I use to read the comics when they first came out. But I grew up and life got in the way. There are a lot of comics from back in the sixties and seventies that I lost track of over time. I'm glad you guys are here to catch me up. ❤
I didn't realize how much history the future foundation kids all had together, its neat they brought Alex back together with Leech, Dragon Man and Franklin.
When I was in Elementary School there was some hardcover compilations of the Power Pack. They were my first exposure to the characters and dumb baby me thought they were made for those hardcover books.
I'm surprised that they weren't. There's loads of potential for them, especially in animation. I remember years ago they had a live action show or special but it only aired in Canada.
Power Pack was the book that got me into comics. The original Louise Simonson run is still among my favourite comics of all time. I wish Marvel could find some way to reset the timeline , bring Louise Simonson back and release more adventures with the Power kids.
I absolutely love your videos this quickly became 1 of my top 3 channels even taking over rob from comics explainedi. His place keep up the good work 👍
I alway liked _POWER PACK_ . Even as I grew up, I still would pick up books they were in. My comic buddies always laughed about it, but it was just too fun of a read for me to care. So, I went out of my way to tell them about every issue! lol!
Are you going to do history of Ironheart, M'Baku, Namora, Attuma and Shuri as the Black Panther since they played a major role in the Black Panther Wakanda Forever movie?
Can you do history of the Elementals(Hellfire, Magnum, Hydron and Zephyr), Bastion, Master Mold, Nimrod, Inferno, Zora_Vukovic Victorious, Night Nurse, Lady-Lotus, Moondragon and Phyla_Vell along with the Supreme Intelligence, Puppet_Master, Diablo, Mole_Man and Angel Salvador/Tempest along with Exodus and Ex-Nhilo?
I’ve been a power pack fan since I started reading comics. They wete always so cheap that I could buy them even when I was a little kid without money. I never really knew what was going on because I just bought which ones had a cool cover.
Power Pack , I was a aware of them but knew nothing about them since they didn't crossover to the traditional comics . I have the feeling Marvel was trying to build a new group of Superheroes to split from The Establishment but couldn't because of funds or not everyone was on board . Everything I know of this group is because of you, thanks.
Funny enough, I discovered The Power Pack well before I discovered The Avengers. It was a crossover comic with Spider-Man, and Venom (or the Symbiote) as the antagonist.
Also to note they teamed with Deadpool when he (very) briefly wore the Venom symbiote and Obnoxio the Clown against some Snarks at a birthday party lol
In the movie adaptation, the rainbow girl is a speedster. Katie also can project energy orbs. I can't remember if the boys' powers had some alteration.
That’s crazy I never heard of them and the first time I saw her illustration the 1st person I thought of was Whoopi. Hope marvel can give us at least a one shot of this
This would make a great Disney flick. They could use something to capitalize on the momentum of D/W and going outside the box in this manner would be well-received and boy, isn't the source material right up Disney's alley? I know it won't happen, but what the hell? I'd like to see Ralph Hinkley in the MCU, and that's not likely either.

The original book went off a cliff after Louise Simonson, Carl Potts, and Jim Shooter left. Some of the Jon Bogdanove stuff was good. But, ugh, don't get me started on Michael Higgins run. Who told that guy he could write?
Are you going to do history of lesser known characters like Rom_the_Spaceknight, Stingray, Ultimo, Inferno, Zora_Vukovic Victorious, Flerken, Blacklash, Deathlok, Elematrix, Vertigo, Masked Raider, Red_Wolf, Tarantula, Forge, Bishop, Titanium_Man, Crimson Dynamo, Dreadknight, Deathcry, Kobik AKA the Cosmic Cube, Blizzard, Quasar, Starbrand, Nightmask, Bastion, Master Mold, Nimrod, Starhawk, Fixer, Whirlwind, Chemistro, Whiplash, the Controller, Madam_Masque, Count_Nefaria, Ava Ayala the White Tiger, Crossfire, Living Laser, Century, Lore and Technovore?

Power Pack was then what Ms. Marvel is now: they kept pushing these characters but nobody cared. They did crossovers with the X-Men and Franklin Richards ran with them and had them switched up powers but they never took off
It was a different time then. Louise Simonson had pull at Marvel seeing as her hubby was writing Thor and June Brigman who was also one of the creatives who illustrated the Brenda Starr comic strip.

Power Pack was considered as the younger cousin series to the Fantastic Four.
And? I don’t care. They’re still awesome.
Teen Titans for pre-teens. Not bad at all.
Never thought we'd see children under the age of 12 as Superheroes and that too interacting with other Superheroes
Really cool 😎
Here in Brazil they were named "Quarteto Futuro", that means "Future Four"

Power Pack was one of my favorite books and got me into comics back in the 80s. And now, as an adult, this team got me into collecting omnibus.
