Except the guy the literally put on their checks and masthead, Spider-Man.
Ben Grimm often gets overlooked. Everyone talks about Spider-Man, and understandably, so as he’s actually my favorite marvel hero. But Ben Grimm actually fits the mold as well. Perhaps more so.

One of the most underrated character in history in my opinion. His dialogue, strength, power and mental fortitude have been far too overlooked.
As a person suffering from Psoriasis Ben Grimm is an inspirational for me he's someone I can relate too Win Lose or Draw the Thing will always be one of my favorites

You know, the Thing has always been one of my personal favorite superheroes ever since I was a kid, and not just because he was a part of the Fan 4.
I always loved his big heart, is tough guy personality, his love for a good fight, and of course is incredible loyalty to his friends, family, and teammates.
He may look like a monster, but Benjamin J Grimm is a hero through and through.
At one point in the Comics Ben got approached by a group of Teenagers even there female teacher was a Fan of his and she kiss him

He may have transformed into a hulking creature with orange rocky skin, but Ben Grimm has a good heart and his catchphrase is truly legendary. I always have a thing for the Fantastic Four, Marvel's first super-powered family...and the ones who started the Marvel Age of Heroes.

People often talk about characters like Spider-Man as the quintessential Marvel hero. And he is. The Thing, however, gets overlooked. As he’s very much in the mold of a marvel comics hero as much as Spidey himself. Some would argue more so because he went through way more tragedy! Especially in the younger years! Ben has been one of my favorite comic characters since I began reading comics back in the 70's. One of the strongest guys on the planet completely loyal to his friends and family and smart enough to be an Air Force test pilot which many people forget about.
Air Force rank for Pilots is Second Lieutenant and above and highly Intelligent, Ben is nobody's fool even though Yancy Street is the evidently a pun on Camden N.J.. youse guy,s.😮.

What I love about Ben Grimm is that its essentiallly Jewish Golem meets down to Earth New Yorker. That despite the changes made to him Ben tries to live a life and enjoy the things he did before his change. Its why I think everyone can relate to Ben on some level. Even with his powers he would much rather be spending the day with his best gal Alicia and genuinely be there for his family and friends, be an Uncle to Valeria and Franklin and just make the best of life despite what has happened to him. Its why he was such an inspiration to me as a kid, because despite what life threw at him, he decided he wasn't going to let the universe dictate how his life was going to go. He would still love watching the game on the couch with a big sandwich, reading ghost stories, (which I love how this is a thing throughout his comic history 😂), playing poker with the other heroes in the marvel universe and being there for friends and family. To most Peter Parker was inspirational to people around me as a kid because of great power is great responsibility, but Ben Grimm to me equates to: No matter what life throws at you, don't let it change who and what you are and stop you from living a life and cherishing those around you. I love Ben Grimm ❤.

I agree that Ben's time with Project Pegasus is too extensive to recount here. But, I will suggest that the Project be the topic for a future video. There's a lot there to relate, as it's involved in many areas of the Marvel Universe.

This is how the movie should go for their debut. Ben and Doom should be the focal point of the story because their transformation is supposed to be a tragic event, Doom going completely to the dark side, though.
Who could believe that Ben Grimm the Thing ended up with Alicia Masters who's blind but can sense his feelings also in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie, Alicia Masters isn't blind but for some reason she likes Ben in his rocky form? What would have happened if Ben didn't reject his second girlfriend?

Ben was able to channel his fearlessness into becoming a test pilot, giving invaluable insights and feedback while flying advanced experimental planes. Sometimes it just takes finding the right outlet to bring out the best in people.

His ability to push aside all his fears and worries and dive into the thick of things. The rest of the team seem to have some of the same ability, but with Ben it just seems to be turned up to eleven.

It was the FF and the Thing that was the first Superhero comic I read. Before that I read Horror Comics. The idea of the monster as hero that really appealed to me. After a couple of stray FF comics I began reading DC Swamp Thing.
I never knew that his skin was initially a scaly hide. And I've always thought his street gang was more of a neighborhood watch (patrols & protects)
That was a clever retcon to explain his changes of appearances throughout the years. In the first 10 issues or so he looked like a sentient glob of oatmeal

I seriously do not understand the idiotic comments on several things with him on RUclips saying that he's underrated. This dude is the breakout star of the Fantastic Four. He shown up more times in comic and media than the entire team and had several spin-off comics, one of which wasn't even his own comic series. It was like the second volume of Marvel 2 in 1. Plus his military career, before the Sliding Timescale of Marvel made it so that he was also his own grandfather, involved him meeting future Marvel heroes and villains.
So unless these comments about him being underrated are clichely talking about how he can't ever get as strong as the Hulk as long as he has his Madder=stronger power, which is truthfully trivial compared to everything else Ben can do; even though he also complains about it, what the hell are these idiots talking about?

I love the 1967 Fantastic Four cartoon, and the animated series from the 90's. I also enjoyed both the 2005 and 2007 live-action films.

Is there any reason given as to why the effects of the cosmic storm were so drastically different on each of them? You could maybe say each one turned in to something that matched their psyche/personality... but that's not really a scientific explanation.
