Please do a part 2. I had no idea that Captain Universe and Venom were in any way connected. You went above and beyond on this one. Well worth the wait. My suggestion for a future video is the Alpha Flight member SASQUATCH. As always, MAKE MINE THE MERRY MARVELITE!!!!
@@muigokublack6487I’d gladly pretend that hot mess never existed. It was so bad, and you couldn’t get away from it. King in Black was absolute comic Herpes.
One above all, the first firmament, the celestials, the beyonders, the Phoenix force, then the cosmic hierarchies....damn Never disappoints...MM is THE historian
This was a great video! I know many had no idea about this. You should cover Gabriel Shepherd as well as Vulcan Summers The Marquis of death and the chaos King. Continue to amaze all of your viewers! Excelsior!
I never got too deeply into the Micronauts comics, but the Force Black Baron Karza was one of the coolest action figures I owned in those days. The magnetic connections a completely unique touch. I lost all my original Mego, Star Wars, etc toys in a house fire circa 1986/87-ish. For years to come, I was haunted over the enormous loss of original Star wars figures and Joe Montana/Jerry Rice and Eddie Murray/Rickey Henderson rookie cards and Giant Sized X-Men comics. As I got older I realized the real loss was the loss not only of the physical items, but the very setting in which I had grown up in. Without those touchstones to continually relive the past, the memory of the years before age 14 vanished into sense repelling smoke and ash...,.... All this recollection from the image of a Micronauts character. How absurd! Camus would be pleased.
As always, I highly appreciate the videos! Thanks for keeping away from the films, unlike *some* channels. A change they never *Explained*... nor needed..
Hello there Merry Marvelite and fellow community members. I apologize for the tardiness of this comment, but I turned in early yesterday, due to the fact that I was very tired from my job and forgot about this video. Anyways, I found this video to be very interesting and filled with some great information about Captain Universe, as well as The Enigma Force, itself. I honestly didn't know that there was so much lore/history behind such a unique character that anyone in the Marvel Universe can become, especially when they are chosen by The Enigma Force. So I just wanted to say thank you so much for this great and totally interesting video. I do hope that you and everyone else in this community has a great day and a wonderful tomorrow. Until the next thrilling and astonishing video from The Marvel Universe. Peace Out, Plus Ultra and Smash.
I would love to see the later adventures of Captain Universe, like when it bonded with the Hulk again, as well as Daredevil, Invisible Woman, and X-23, or the time when a female half-dead Captain Universe was an Avenger during Hickman's run. Or even the crazed person who was trying to regain the Captain Universe powers for himself.
you know it's odd that gunn said he could not use Bug in the MCU and said Hasbro owns him which is a bullshit claim because marvel been using the the charathers they created for the comics ever since but also if Hasbro claims they own him wouldn't that mean they would own captain universe since he first appeared in the micronauts comic yeah just think about it
Seeing as the Micronauts were a rather large part of this video -and included the debut of Captain Universe-, they had 2 comic book runs in Marvel (and short printing runs with Image, IDW, and Devil's Due), the first starting in January of '79 and lasting until '86. Some of their characters (created by Marvel, naturally) played roles in the formation of the 'new' Guardians of the Galaxy ('Bug' in particular, but Rand and Marionette lived on in the Marvel Universe as well). Marvel renewed their license with Hasbro/Micronauts back in '23 and plan to release the series in a prestige format so why this wasn't mentioned along with the other ancillary material during your wrap-up seemed like a rather huge omission.
Not only did this explain the origin of captain universe but also the Celestials, Beyonders ,King in Black and why the earth has a disproportionate number of heroes than the rest of the universe!
Back in 1966 Marvel's first animated cartoon series , The Marvel Superheroes, was made for TV. This was syndicated for different markets across the U.S. in some of the markets a live action host was included to introduce the cartoons, in Boston there an actor in a Captain America uniform, in the New York City market, WOR-TV, Channel 9, had an actor in a generic superhero costume portrayed Captain Universe, note NYC was where Marvel Comics was published so the writers probably would have seen Captain Universe.
Thank you for this background on Captain Universe and the multiple universes. I admit that I really found it hard to understand where Marvel was going with its universal/multiversal cycles, especially after Fantastic Four brought the Four to the Sixth Cosmos to meet Galactus's mother. Which I still think is so very weird to contemplate.
So at one point, you'll have to make a video describing the entirety of creation from this and breaking down everything to the most minute detail. I imagine such a video will be a few hours long...
If you shrink to get there, it’s smaller. If available through multiversal travel, that just means said process is also capable of size-alteration. I will always be here to speak against bad retcons.
i find it hilarious that an ultra powerful godlike energy sometimes chooses people fending of bullies to endow with the enigma force. cos all that does is make them wayyyyy over powered for the situation lmaoooo
I think this is about as high concept as generic superhero names can get Once you get to "Captain Universe" you really can't take it any higher inb4 Marvel invents a captain multiverse yea yea
Cripes, this (the lore, not the video) is a mess. Random developments spread throughout what seem to be Marvel UK books, a licenced comic that last I checked Marvel can't reprint, and things from the last 5 years centered around Venom/symbiote stuff, not to mention random nothing appearrances of Captain Universe in whatever random books. Seriously, the Uni-power has nothing better to do than help kids stand up to bullies? Excellent video though, and yes, a second part is in order as this information is horrifically uncentralized.
Here's a fun question: Do you think Marvel should write more dark stories or right about Darker themes ( These could be elsewhere, the world or what if scenarios or maybe the main line continuity of marvel we know). I got this idea from the boys series and other dark comics It made me realize how dark and bad things super villains can do to superheroes If marvel Allowed it I mean, starlight from boys. And what happened to her 😬 I could see that happened to a lot of female heroes I believe you could make stories like that and make them compelling stories ( And Not end up being very controversial )
Could this BE anymore complicated? Also I don't like that the Beyonders were created by the Celestials. I am thinking that that is a retcon because of the MCU, which I REALLY wish they would stop doing!
And here I thought Captain Universe was simply bitten by a radioactive universe and gained its abilities
Lmao damn that's good, made me do a spit take haha! 😅
🤣🤣👍
You're thinking of Universe-Man
🤣
This is very cute 😂
The reveal that the Enigma Force is actually the antithesis to Knull and is a symbiote composed of cosmic light was so cool
That venom series was the best ever.

To be fair, The Enigma Force and Venom being connected is rather recent as it was shown during the "King In Black" event with Knull The Symbiote God.

One of my favorite characters. Captain Universe was created so the none powered characters could save the universe too.
Dude this the second time I seen you
Captain universe is such a interesting character in my opinion
Aw
I get chills hearing Micronaut lore, collected the toys and my father would read the books to me, great times
One above all, the first firmament, the celestials, the beyonders, the Phoenix force, then the cosmic hierarchies....damn

I love this channel because I always learn something about the Marvel Universe I didn't know!
Definitely do a part 2 and cover the rest.
Man I wish we had this type of in depth explanations of other comic book universes.
I will always recommend you, you're the goat of marvel history
WOW you do an incredible job putting this all together
Excellent job. Blurry about character after micronauts 😂❤
This was a great video! I know many had no idea about this. You should cover Gabriel Shepherd as well as Vulcan Summers The Marquis of death and the chaos King. Continue to amaze all of your viewers! Excelsior!
Awesome vid, the cosmology/history of Marvel comics is such a pain to go through, and you did such a clear concise review well done
Thanks for the amazing video ❤
Thanks man for doing this video now I know a little bit more about Captain Universe
I would love to hear about other recipients of the Uni Power.
man... the 60's were something else

This might be your best researched and presented video
Please make a video for the the complete history of the marvel universe’s giant monster named Giganto The Atlantean Beast please
Merry Marvelite uploaded, today is a good day.
First time I’m this early to a video. Feels nice actually.
let's hear more more more more about captain universe!!! THANK YOU!!
Some of my earliest comic stories were when Peter was Cosmic Spider-Man. That was an interesting storyarc.
THIS CHANNEL IS 'EXCELSIOR' 👍 ..
Appreciate the effort you it into your videos.
As always, I highly appreciate the videos!
Thanks for keeping away from the films, unlike *some* channels.

What do the movies have to do with explaining Captain Universe?
Or characters' origins in general?

Don't ever stop ❤❤❤
Another great video
This was sweet.👍🏿
Captain Universe looks a whole lot like the Star-Spangled Kid.
Easily the best comic ‘tuber.

aw yeah, it's learnin' time!
😂😂😂 sorry, but I love that
I really want a darkhawk video.
Not only did this explain the origin of captain universe but also the Celestials, Beyonders ,King in Black and why the earth has a disproportionate number of heroes than the rest of the universe!
In hundreds of years time from now people are going to think we worshipped the MCU
🤣👍

11:31 is that the skydoesminecraft opening song?
I don't know if Marvel have done this or not but Captain Universe anthology series would be such an interesting read :)
This story is freaking wild!
Man...
I just wanted to know why spiderman got superpowers in the early 90s
Can you do history of the characters mentioned in this video?
I miss the Micronaughts
The Micronauts omnibus vol 1 is a must have for Micronauts fans.
Same
Thank you ☺️
I thought the Time Travel is linked Commader Rann. That is why he looks like Commander Rann in his cryogenic chamber.
What do you think is the best thing about Captain Universe in the comics? Which one of his powers and abilities do you think is the best?
I was hoping you would touch on hiro kala
I had Macaro Notes at the end of childhood remember the comics never read them someone said they were good
Why isn’t the captain from Nextwave listed at the end
So at one point, you'll have to make a video describing the entirety of creation from this and breaking down everything to the most minute detail. I imagine such a video will be a few hours long...
Cool character.
"Captains Universe" oof
Super interesting history.
Love this character...
It’d be nice to see Rogue take on the mantle of Captain Universe
If you shrink to get there, it’s smaller. If available through multiversal travel, that just means said process is also capable of size-alteration.
I will always be here to speak against bad retcons.
Can you do one for Dormammu?
Well, that’s not convoluted at all…. I just thought it was a guy who’s kid found some tiny people whilst mowing his lawn in Florida…
I wonder if he has more Mr Universe titles than Arnold Schwarzenegger won lol
I've always wondered if Infinity and Eternity should've had their names swapped.
How many origins of the Universe are there now? How long before we find out someone created the One Above All?
How many cosmic superheroes are there?
10:36 ok I’ve made it to here…😐
Where tf is Captain universe 🤨
What's the difference between sentient and sapient?
Ooooooo, time for a doozy!
Many people don’t know this, but the supervillains led by Loki during Acts of Vengeance was the original Cabal
Can’t find any documentation for that. They were only ever called the Inner Circle in story.
i find it hilarious that an ultra powerful godlike energy sometimes chooses people fending of bullies to endow with the enigma force. cos all that does is make them wayyyyy over powered for the situation lmaoooo
Imagine if cyclops was possessed by Captain universe and Jean by Phoenix then had a child.
That child would be op as hell. More powerful than Franklin Richards
Well, this documentary was quite a spoiler for The Micronauts.
Cain Marko was Captain Universe?!
If we get knull as villain in last dance. Will we captain universe spiderman to uo the power scale? Because is powerful as crap.
Aspirins?
Yes, ser !
Marvel Canon is very weird 😂 I love it
us this the original origin? or today's origin?
❤❤❤❤
Do you guys think Captain universe is more powerful than superman?
I think this is about as high concept as generic superhero names can get
Once you get to "Captain Universe" you really can't take it any higher

Huh?😶
Yea these concepts are wild inner space in infinite nothingness lol

woe..capt universe has a nice female form there
First
No wonder Marvel is flopping.
