I am more into heavy metal music, but I always have liked the Offspring. I am 38 years old and started a PhD last year. Believe me when I say Dexter Holland is one of my inspirations to start this endeavour at this age. I already put his name in my dissertation acknowledges.

Dexter spoke up and some how he had gone through the whole semester without the professor realizing Dexter was in his class. Turns out the Professor was a huge fan and had seen them live multiple times. I can't recall where I heard this but its one of my favorite stories even if its not true.
