    Genuinely thinking of coming back. I used to main darkness in pvp back when the lvl cap was 50. I didn't do any damage but I had some of the most blocked damage for the time so I was satisfied. And I miss huttball

      Sin tank is a sturdy wet noodle, as always. It’s a good time at the moment, and with free to play you can test it out and see if you like it. Would recommend checking it out!

      I played a sith assassin too. I was pretty casual though, so I didn't get too in depth with the systems. I played the game back before there were any xpacs lol. I just subbed today, ready to see how the game feels after all this time.

    This was a good video. I would recommend you try all 8 classes for the story. There are a lot of interrelated parts between stories even and some pivotal characters mentioned in a story line in faction A that a character in faction B interacted with or fought. Different force / energy / heat management present their own challenges as well as play styles. I definitely found HOT and DOT type characters are much more challenging then their burst counterparts. I have found they all have their fun moments, but in the end you’ll only have so much time to play characters.

    You sir, are a saint. Im getting into the game back after 4.5 yrs of not touching it. I was legendary player back then and all i did was basically only the basic stories of everyone, i dont remember anything much except some details. Now i struggle choosing a class again for my first replay

    Your video was very well made and informative! Though one piece of criticism I would have is that plain white text is hard to read unless it's on a dark background, so if you could potentially add a drop shadow to the text it'd make it more legible. But other than that nitpick, I am impressed with the quality of your video. Keep up the good work!

    I‘m a Veteran in swtor but I really struggle to decide which class I should use for my new Char. With the new Char I want to make a 100% run, all quests, all datacrons, Otter objectives, flashpoints and so on. I want to enjoy the full game once again and taking my time. But this will take so long That I want be sure that I picked the class which fits my playing style the best, have a great story and where I would have the Most fun with

    Great video. But button line, you will play the class you like to play. Make them all and test them. In the last 3 weeks I m on my assassin or shadow. But befor that I was stuck on my Merc / commando. I wont stuck on ONE character. Enjoy the game and try them. Have a good one and enjoy the game.

    The first character was a marauder with a no-shit given and DPS was disgusting + story fun AF ( I lose my shit when I turn jedi to the darkside)
    IO merc damage seem to do extremely low damage or not killing fast enough for me but the story is quite fun

    _SWtOR_ MBTI and Berens Chart.
    Trooper/Hunter: xSxJ. Ruthless and greedy at worst, law-abiding and honorable at best.
    Knight/Warrior: xSxP. At worst, arrogant and violent; at best, diligent and life-respecting.
    Consular/Inquisitor: xNxJ. The worst are mad with power, but the best are wise and subtly healing.
    Smuggler/Agent: xNxP. Gluttonous and belligerent at worst, fun and problem-solving at best.
    The next two charts after this will assume all healthy characters are Light-sided. LS Pubs work towards process while LS Imps head towards goals. For the Republic, this translates to Movement (Directive Introvert or Informative Extrovert) or a preference for chaos like warriors. For the Empire, this communicates toward Control (Directive Extravert or Informative Introvert) or a preference for order like soldiers.
    Conscious Ommision: Feeling and Thinking; the former is female and the latter is male because females don't feel the biological need to distinguish themselves from their mothers while males do.
    In order of recommended story order:
    Bounty Hunter: ISFJ/ESTJ.
    Trooper: ESFJ/ISTJ.
    Sith Inquisitor: ENxJ.
    Jedi Knight: ESFP/ISTP.
    Sith Warrior: ISFP/ESTP.
    Jedi Consular: INxJ.
    Imperial Agent: INxP.
    Smuggler: ENxP.
    Races:
    ★ *Bounty Hunter:* Rattataki (he/she has a unique dialogue in a Belsavis side quest).
    * *Trooper:* Mirialan (no bonus dialogues, but creates a foil with two antagonistic Mirialans) or Zabrak (unique dialogue during a conversation with your first companion).
    ★ *Sith Inquisitor:* Twi'lek female and Human female or male (the latter, can be either sex, but the male needs to be only human because he is more driven to be separate, so it would be best for him to avoid the hermit's advise to use his rage from others' speciesism and can even get the "pro-alien" dialogue from one of his companions' dialogues; the former can be either because she'll not only to willfully ignore the aforementioned advise so as to commune with others, but also get the funny bonus dialogue on Hoth from the same companion if alien).
    * *Jedi Knight:* Human Female, Miraluka Male (the former has special dialogue when Doc mentions the possibility of children while the latter is most lightsaber-focused of the Jedi classes, plus he gets a bonus dialogue with the final boss on Alderaan).
    ★ *Sith Warrior:* Pureblood female and Zabrak male (as mentioned above, women want to commune while men want to separate; the latter will feel a greater need to rebel as an alien while the former will still rebel by being a friend to the lower class).
    * *Jedi Consular:* Zabrak (best justifies his or her apparently quick recovery after healing and gives a roleplay reason for acting like a warrior around the first companion), Twi'lek (can make the diplomacy on the introductory planet make a little sense, albeit with no unique dialogue), or Mirialan (can make sense with the class; there's supposed to be unique dialogue with a Mirialan Padawan on the last story planet, but it isn't there in the final product).
    ★ *Imperial Agent:* Chiss (the entire class revolves around being a Chiss) or Human/Cyborg (also makes sense).
    * *Smuggler:* Human/Cyborg female and Twi'lek male (the former has an extra flirtatious bonus dialogue at the end of her romance quest while the latter just fits the Smuggler, plus, if he is a shade of blue (one of which is Pub-exclusive), he manages to make one of the dialogues in the _Heist of the Millennium_ quest funnier).
    Combat Styles and Echani vs Mandalorian:
    The Echani favor lighter and/or more flexible armor along with communication through combat while the Mandalorians favor heavy armor while dueling. Since the Trooper's armor is specifically designed for maximum flexibility and the Bounty Hunter's weaponry are highly favored by the Mandalorians, their respective original advanced classes, the Vanguard & the Commando and the Powertech & the Mercenary, will be Echani and Mandalorian respectively.
    *Echani:* Assassin, Sentinel, Marauder, Shadow, Operative, and Scoundrel.
    *Mandalorian:* Sorcerer*, Guardian, Juggernaut, Sage*, Sniper, and Gunslinger.
    *Note: the Sorcerer and the Sage are listed as *"Mandalorian"* because, in the Bounty Hunter's story on Hoth, there is a character with the Sith Sorcerer model who challenges the player to an honorable Blooding and it's considered a Light Side action to accept it.

    • @Biggsgaming
      @Biggsgaming  2 года назад +2

      if you want a style that's more pistol focused, gunslinger is your dual-wielding, clint eastwoord "Shoot 'em from a distance" style of character. If you want a class that's melee with a pistol, then play a powertech, it's a lot of grenades and energy blasts, but it's more pistol than what you'll get out of the scoundrel.

      In terms of pure damage yes. In terms of actually fighting he lacks defensive skills, it’s a glass cannon, as soon as you used your kolto overload and energy shield you are done. Same goes for advanced prototype spec. Imo strongest melee classes are concealment operative/scrapper scoundrel and immortal or vengeance juggernaut/defence or vigilance guardian. Concealment ops have as high burst damage as advanced prototype pt with the right build but has way more defensive capabilities (stim boost, shield probe, evasion, cloak and recloak, offheals and ability that refreshes cooldowns on shield probe and stim boost). While guardian you can gear in dps gear in tanking spec, and do big damage as well as take it.

    • @Biggsgaming
      @Biggsgaming  3 года назад +1

      VG/PT has the highest burst damage in the game at the moment, but do not provide the same level of sustain/defensives/utility that the specs I recommended do. I love VG, but if someone was looking for the most meta, I wouldn’t point them in that direction.

    • @Lorhin
      @Lorhin 3 года назад

      @@Biggsgaming From my experiences in NiM raiding, and from what other NiM raiders understand, PT/VG is very meta. I can't speak for pvp as I don't pvp at all, but VG/PT is extremely good in high tier pve endgame. People usually want at least one in their prog group.

    • @Biggsgaming
      @Biggsgaming  3 года назад +3

      @@Lorhin PTs are absolutely a solid choice, however *in the context of this video* of people asking “what class should I play”, it wouldn’t be my first recommendation. They’re excellent glass cannons that require support to be extremely effective. They also don’t provide the same level of group utility as the other specs mentioned here. I’m not saying that VG isn’t good, I’m saying that I wouldn’t recommend it as the fist class for anyone just getting into high level play as it can be quite punishing to these players and is more likely to create a frustrating experience for new-to-high-level-content players.
      I hope that explanation makes sense. TL;DR: VG/PT is good but it wouldn’t be my first recommendation to players who are new to high end content as it’s far more punishing spec than the ones recommended here.

    • @Lorhin
      @Lorhin 3 года назад

      @@Biggsgaming Don't get me wrong. I understand what you're saying, and it's your list, so you can put whatever class you want on it. I just thought it was very surprising to not even give VG/PT dps an honorary mention, considering how impactful it is for progression. But yeah.

      Thanks. I've been thinking it over since this past September and have commented my conclusions repeatedly, only to second-guess myself. Fortunately, I managed to finally settle on a conclusive finding and I find no reason to change this one.
      I've also managed to decide on an order to play the stories for first-timers:
      1. Bounty Hunter.
      2. Trooper.
      3. Sith Inquisitor.
      4. Jedi Knight.
      5. Sith Warrior.
      6. Jedi Consular.
      7. Imperial Agent.
      8. Smuggler.
      I've also come up with a definite alien race for all of them except for the Trooper and the Jedi Consular and I've been considering adding them to the chart:
      ★Bounty Hunter: Rattataki (they get a special dialogue in a Belsavis quest concerning Rattataki prisoners).
      *Trooper: I can't decide whether it should be Zabrak (for the social ability making others salute) or for Mirialan (for contrasting Wraith and the guy who keeps hounding Elara).
      ★Sith Inquisitor: Human (there's less reason for him/her to embrace hatred and Talos calls Kallig "pro-alien" in a dialogue, making him seem more active).
      *Jedi Knight: Miraluka (for the dialogue option on Alderaan).
      ★Sith Warrior: Dathomiran Zabrak (gives the Warrior a bigger roleplay reason to go LS).
      *Jedi Consular: either Twi'lek, Zabrak, or Mirialan (I honestly don't know if the Consular has bonus dialogue concerning a specific alien race; according to _TorCommunity,_ there should be bonus dialogue on Corellia for the Mirialan with a distraught Padawan, also a Mirialan, but videos have shown it's not there).
      ★Imperial Agent: Chiss (self-explanatory).
      *Smuggler: Human (this is to keep the "practicing" dialogue with Corso; I'd have included the blue Twi'lek with red eyes for the funny Chiss dialogue in _Heist of the Millennium,_ but I bet a red-eyed Human would be just as funny; I also don't find the Cyborgs all that interesting).
