- People who have won the DV2023 DV lottery program want to know if they will get their chance to interview for the greencard. That is very understandable. However, some people might not realize that there are many more people selected as winners than there are visas available.
That means some people will miss out - and will probably never get their interview. So - who is at risk - and how can you calculate your place in line. All explained in this video.

Step-daughter in EU has a *very* high number, with only about 8% of numbers for EU being higher than hers - so she is at significantly "high-risk". You never actually say any number, no matter how high, is "beyond hope", but it must be that some numbers are simply so high that their chances of being selected for interview are, practically, zero. Our hope is that many Russian and Belarusian winners cannot travel due to the war - but even that may not help her much. We wait for June/July to see what the VB says.

what happens to the holes that are in front of your case number since they have not submitted the DS260 if you check your case it says they are example 20000 cases before you. if your d260 has been processed and the majority of the cases ahead of you are holes will they move to your ds260 directly and schedule your case for an interview please explain this.
THE USEFULL TOOL TO KNOW HOW MANY CN ARE BEFORE AND AFTER, does it give us the CN submitted or all the case selected?

one of the requirements for the pre. intreview checklist in case you won and got an intreview after submittjng your application,
is the passport and a photocopy of the passport
Does this mean that I need to send the passport in the pre-intreview documetns package

In the past years, about 15 to 30 percent of people who are At Nvc were not invited to an interview until the end of the financial year. Even those who have a low case number. Can it be said that these are the people who do not send the 260 form? Or is it possible that some people send the 260 form and it is processed, but they are not invited to the interview?

Simon today you missed a point of countries whose case numbers are concentrated in lower cases and always capped like Egypt, Algeria, Morocco so many cases being Infront of a particular number of some cases might not have anything to do with risky. My opinion though

The cut-off number as per the visa bulletin is still at 45,000. Be patient, hopefully in the next visa bulletin which will be out by mid this month, your number will be within range and you can then look forward to get your 2NL
I was married but i applied as a single in DV lottery of America. Now i selected if now i mention in Form DS260 that's i am married and i have a daughter but i immigrate alone with out my family is it makes me disqualify for Visa?

Absolutely correct.
Not to discourage anyone, but this only happens when the DV programme for that year is not administered properly(eg. 2022).
Typically, all cases should only go current very late in the year. Usually, by this time, visas may have been exhausted before very high case numbers can even get an interview.
What does it mean if the dvchart website says my number is a hole?
Your number can't be a whole if you were selected and received a confirmation letter. Probably you put in your CN wrongly. Eliminate the preceeding zero. For example, if your CN is 2023AS0001234...type 2023AS1234

The 1040 is a tax form - you have to be an American taxpayer for that.

Pretty good Edwin. The percentage (27.7%) implies that you are in the second half of 100% when it is divided into 4 quadrant. 1st half 1-25%, 2nd half 26-50%, and so on.

Hi Britsimon thank you for the help. Am dv2023 winner with case no. 2023AF2***. It's showing that 1096 cases ahead of me but have not yet received my 2NL. Interview location is khartoum, sudan. I have submitted my ds-260 on 26th May 2022 and my case is now showing '' AT NVC'' what doesn't that mean plz? Am I required to do anything further to advance my process or just wait and see?
