Geoff Tate still touring the album virtually every year. Saw the 25th anniversary show last year. Full album in order then a greatest hits encore. Already have my ticket for this year's show.
Unless they are opening for Metallica?! unfortunately for sure in fresno there were almost nothing but boos because every single person there wanted to see the insecure mindless fooks more than these incredible geniuses which was sad….love queensryche what a band, bless up ❤️💛💚
@@scottsharp1763they opened for Bon jovi in the uk in 87 with the rage stuff, we were there only for Queensryche had a huge banner on the balcony, Bon jovi goons came and told us to take it down during the jovi set, we told him to go fu@k himself 😂
What is a shame is that he totally stopped his artistic output… I guess that after a Grammy award and after having gone thru all the crap in the music industry ha was ready to slam the door and turn the page, that is what is called integrity, either we do not deserve him or he has already given us his best. This is one of the best concept albums in history. Working with this band was on my bucket list and fortunately I was blessed to work with them in 1991 for their Operation: Video Crime concert video and then again during their 1995 Promised Land tour. That was incredible! The entire band was great to work with.
I worked with them on the Empire tour, local production for the Miami Arena. They were one of the very few acts that were considerate enough to local crews that they made local tour crew shirts for us. This album and Empire are just pinnacle masterworks.
I saw Queensryche in concert in the early 90’s for the empire tour and they played the entire operation mind crime album. It was insane. Not to mention Suicidal Tendencies opened for them. One of the great shows! Almost as good as Pink Floyd’s pulse tour! Man I would give anything to go back just be able to see those shows once again!
Yo agregaría un cuarto PROMISED LAND ese disco ko le pide favores a ninguno de los antes mencionados. El primer EP y el primer LP son otras joya pero con un sonido Heavy metal más puro.
36:23 is the word suicide for anyone looking. Don't blink, lol. One of the greatest albums ever. Listening to this takes me back to my late 80s teen years.
Yeah I caught that. So did she kill herself? I'm always thinking that the most unobvious person is the one who did it and was thinking it could've been the priest. Then again she killing herself could be the plot twist and a much better ending. After all these decades later, I hope I finally find out what really happened to Mary.
@@cesarvaldez112975Mary Killed Mary. They did make it official a long time ago. That was the irony. She killed herself to save him, but it triggered his decent into madness that led to him getting captured and bringing and end to his life figuratively anyway.
@@cryptojihadi265 Interesting. I’ve always had my suspicions that she was the one who did it but was never sure. Maybe I wasn’t paying close enough attention. Okay I’m starting to get more of the story. So Dr X tells the guy to kill Mary and to kill the priest as well. So was Mary tipped off of that plan and sacrificed herself to save him from being murdered by Dr. X if he had not completed the plan? Probably way off on that one. Thanks again on the info.
Geoff Tate still touring the album virtually every year. Saw the 25th anniversary show last year. Full album in order then a greatest hits encore. Already have my ticket for this year's show. This album is 2nd only to Pink Floyd's The Wall in the pantheon of the greatest concept albums ever made.
I remember getting this video on VHS and being disappointed it wasn't a live performance. Well, it didn't say it was, but I was disappointed anyway ;-(
It would help if you had the album, the whole album, to get the full impact that these guys have given. It is one of the greatest pieces of art ever made.
One of the better rock albums of all-time... saw them open for Metallica in '88, put on a great show - even better than Metallica in my opinion. Never understood how they weren't more popular, easily one of the best rock/metal bands from that 1985-1995 era.
Queensryche at their very best . Got this when it came out on video ….watched it every night for months . One of the best albums ever made , thanks for the upload 🤘👍
Washing dishes over 30 years ago as credits rolled, then "I Don't Believe in Love" began playing again. This was no end of "Ferris Bueller," I could tell. There'd be a message. I was right.
So thankful that you put this on. I never had the chance to see it before. Was very fortunate to see the whole album live for the Empire tour in 1990-91. I recall an ad in a metal magazine in 88 saying it was metal's version of The Wall (I didn't even know Pink Floyd at the time. Didn't know what The Wall was.) Also recall seeing a piece saying something like "...if metal fans had any f- brains, Queensryche would the most popular..." Can't recall which magazine it was.
Pity they didn't make the whole record as video. Would've been fantastic and perfect with Spreading the Disease, Suite Sister Mary too... Chantelle Sims was breathtaking in this, seriously.
I have this on both DVD and VHS. The quality of the video on the tape is twice as good as the digital version. WHY? You'd think that the dvd would be far superior to VHS but the tape is MANY times better. Kinda makes me want to have a VCR again just to watch this performance.
I saw 'Ryche on "The Warning", "Rage", (of course) Mindcrime, "Empire", and Q2k..... I have to say everything before Q2K was off the charts. Q2K was a disappointment. I saw them again on the "American Soldier" tour and wasn't impressed. I opened for Operation: Mindcrime for their 2014 tour and couldn't have cared any less. I was more entertained talking with Rudy Sarzo. I finally got to see 'Rycje with Todd and was thoroughly entertained. The energy was back
This album is a timeless master piece
Songs are perfect for what's going on in 2024.
I was just thinking that.
Nothing has changed. Same old crappy politics then, same now😢😢😢

It's scary how relevant this is today.
The peak of Queensryche, the peak of 80s metal, absolute musical masterpiece!
Dear god you can not go wrong with Queensryche during their prime.

Ya, great tour! The Grand Rapids show was Bedlam.
Saw that tour in Philly.
They played with so much precision.
Genuine masterpiece
They saw the future with the lyrics. Its incredible!!
The classic era of Queensryche:
Rage For Order
Operation Mindcrime
Empire
A Metal-Prog Trilogy!
That's stood the test of time! ❤🎸😎🤘

WARNING - The first ever prog metal album and among the only few albums I'd rank 10/10 together with Mindcrime!
Rage changed the paradigm for the bands I played in and gravitated towards. Love the killer duo of Wilton and DeGarmo!
Best album of all-time. Rockin' this since 1988!
I wore out 2 VHS versions of this. Man those were some golden years.
Best concept album ever!!!!
Best concert I ever went they were flawless live . Still in my playlist 30+ years later can’t say that most of the bands I listened to 30 years ago
This record is more important now than it was in 1988. My how prophetic this album turned out to be.
Reminds me good old MTV
36:24 we find out how Mary died for one frame the word Suicide pops up.
Queensrÿche forever changed how teenage-me saw government and the politicians, through their unique blend of amazing musicianship and powerful lyrics.
Entering my 60s I have some past regrets, shoulda coulda woulda. But fuck that, I saw Queensryche perform this entire album on their Empire tour, YES!
Fantastic album…just a masterpiece
Such a great album
Stationed in Okinawa Japan in 1991 and got hooked on this band
Never heard of Queensryche until I saw this on VHS tape. Blew my mind! Fan ever since 🙏🏼🍺
