Looking at some of these comments, I feel like some of you didn't listen to the whole album. The main character literally gets brainwashed into joining a violent terrorist organization/cult that takes advantage of his desire to make a change, and becomes one of their assassins. He is troubled by what he must do, but only truly realizes he's joined the wrong people when they order him to kill Sister Mary (his only friend and comfort in life) for knowing too much. Sister Mary also reveals she's suicidal because of her troubled past and involvement with the organization. When he tries to escape with her, he's framed for her murder, and ends up institutionalized, no longer able to make any difference at all, and having been discarded by the people he dedicated his life to. Yes, this song is talking about some very real issues that are still relevant today, but the album is also warning the listener to not trust political revolutionary organizations that seek to indoctrinate and brainwash those who want to make a positive difference on the world.
"I used to trust the media to tell me the truth" is such a great line. @@vallangaard sounds like what the democrats are doing huh aka bernie sanders
@@vallangaard the band was a progressive leftist band, the album was dedicated to bush Sr, it was very anti Reagan, anti conservatism. The singer supports bernie sanders political views, he believes in socialism.

discovered in the end of the 80's in WRTL Wango Tango on RTL radio station (France/Belgium), while i hide myself under the blanket in my bed instead of sleeping after 11pm. Fighting not to fall asleep I suddently listened the trilogy "I Remember Now/Anarchy X/Revolution Calling". the exact sound to wake up ^^.
i'm glad to find it back so long after :)
Petition to have Operation: MindCrime to become a film?
No it doesn't need a film the songs give you all the visuals you need to see it play in your head plus the lyrics are relevant to today's world just look outside and there is your operation mindcrime movie
I understand there has been talks but Tate wanted all the rights for himself Lol, one of the reasons the band split.
