"Anybody Listening?"
You and I
Long to live like the wind upon the water
If we close our eyes, we'll maybe realize
There's more to life than what we have known
And I can't believe I've spent so long
Living lies I knew were wrong inside
I've just begun to see the light
Long ago there was a dream
Had to make a choice or two
Leaving all I loved behind
For what nobody knew
Stepped out on the stage, a life
Under lights and judging eyes
Now the applause has died and I
Can dream again
Is there anybody listening?
Is there anyone that sees what's going on?
Read between the lines
Criticize the words they're selling
Think for yourself and feel the walls
Become sand beneath your feet
Feel the breeze?
Time's so near you can almost taste the freedom
There's a warm wind from the south
Hoist the sail and we'll be gone
By morning this will all seem like a dream
And if I don't return to sing the song
Maybe just as well
I've seen the news and there's
Not much I can do...alone
Is there anybody listening?
Is there anyone who smiles without a mask?
What's behind the words-images
They know will please us?
I'll take what's real. Bring up the lights
Is there anybody listening?
Is there anyone that sees what's going on?

Criticize the words they're selling

Omg This Man Has One Of The Best Vocal Voice I've Ever Heard.. So Magical Beautiful Powerful WOW
And The Song Is So Beautiful Touching Filled With Strong Power
SUPER EXCELLENT
No argument there Jamila

@@robing915 Yes dear Robin, they are where really an excellent band 💯.. I agree, so sad that they broke up 😢
This is the best of the best music........
World song. 100% respect.
Still one of the most talented and under-rated vocalists ever. So much of his work is nearly timeless.
Underrated?
And this is why Geoff will always be the voice of Queensryche to me.
Good lord! The bass tone and clarity!
This is my favorite song from Queensryche!
Music that soothes my body, mind and spirit.
that is truth
and that's why I am so sorry for the the next will never be able to get to enjoy these songs that are so pure and and a group that is truly clean and real
Easily one of the most underrated bands of all time. They are were and will be just amazing.
Queensryche are/were true artists.....the feeling in this song, the beauty, the emotions.....fantastic!!!!
Just heard Geoff tonight with his band live in 2022 wow what a voice still well into his 60’s . Still a great performer and holds strong stage presence

Such a great song and such a great voice!! I know it's all about the song, but proud to say that I was given the opportunity to work on this video with director, Matt Murray. The video incorporated footage from a concert in Spokane and outdoors in WA and a studio in Los Angeles (Compton), CA. WOW, 5M views!
How awesome for you , it must have been
Bad ass band... One of the best vocals I heard including Milijenko.
Such an underrated song from this album. Great album closer.
Best song on the album. A seven minute masterpiece.
