I have been a huge fan of Mariya Takeuchi since the early 80s and I owned the original album that this song appeared on cassette tape and played that thing silly in my Walkman. Thanks for doing this cover - it's awesome!!! I am totally lacking in musical talent and knowledge but I love your channel! Your editing never fails to make me giggle out loud 🤣

I know tons of folks have said it, but Mariya Takeuchi's husband, city pop legend Tatsuro Yamashita, has a ton of rad songs with rad basslines that are fun to imagine slapping to. Bomber, Someday, Hey Reporter, the list goes on!
My ultimate favorite is Magic Ways. That is such a masterpiece of a song.

Watching / Listening to you play bass really reduces a ton of stress
You know Dave puts a lot of feeling into his playing which makes it sound cool as hell. It doesn't matter if you can tap 10247 notes a bar or 3 notes a bar, it's the feeling that you put into it, and that's the difference between players. Keep it groovin dave.

to be completely honest, I haven't watched davie in some time for the content he's been creating recently. It wasn't something I wanted to watch, but he can do whatever he wants because it's his channel. Hearing him slap and just overall jam out in this video was something I longed for.
