Hello @Corsair LAB, I bought the exact same 2TB drive for my PS5, installed it and format the SSD but it is only showing me a speed of 5500? I tried 3 times and It only goes from 5300 mb/s to 5650 mb/s, did I receive a defective drive? All of the ones I see online are above 6000 mb/s
So, i bought a second one, the first one isn't recognized by my ps5 and surprise, the second one as well.
I won't try it out by a third MP600.
I don't understand the issue with this ssd.
Maybe my console has a broken port, but seriously, i don't believe that...

@@jeanlopes1389 Update: Did it and I’m now Downloading Hogwarts Legacy and Fallout 4 into the memory ssd with no issues.
Just bought the 2TB version in the recent Amazon Prime deals and it's been fine. Installed, detected and ran at around the advertised speeds.

Guys if your PS5 doesn't detect it the first time you install it and plug in, try again bit this time gently push a bit harder until you know the ssd fully fits, kind of has a sound to it as well when it's in properly. This worked for me.
It's super quick as well, to test it just move around a few games to the ssd.

Why does mine say a slower read speed than yours? Mine shows 5900 while yours says 6500 I bought the same one
They are scamming us, bought mine today(4 tb) and it says 6088mb/s, not even close to the 7100mb/s they promise.
Mine read 3556 returning it. If other one is that slow I’m slamming them on every review site.

@@prisonmike3605 2nd one was closer to printed speed like 6 something so kept it in and it’s been fine.
Many people don't know that the PS5 caps the reading speed. What the SSD can do on a PC and what it can do on a PS5 are two different read speeds. The max I heard on a PS5 is around 6500. It really depends on the PS5 not the SSD. The amount of messages I see aboutt his makes me laugh that people don't understand the speed cap is from the PS5 not the SSD.

Personally I would not reinstall the m2 cover after installing. It makes the heatsink useless and can cause overheating.
Sony says on their website that it’s recommended that you reinstall the cover
Got it to detect after reinstalling now was only 3556 mb/s after two reformats. Returning it.

This drive wouldn’t pick up on my ps5 slim version, I tested my computers m.2 and it picked up, looks like I have to return this drive, I was looking forward to having more storage on my ps5, I guess not today, does it not come in fat32 format out of the box? i noticed a article saying that i should format it into fat32 for it to work.

The link given in your packaging leads to a dead page, and searching the exact product - mp600 pro lpx - on your website is showing no returns. Looked under products and found it, only to find the 'watch video' link on the product page leading to a 'private' video. Hopefully the product works better than your marketing and website does...
EDIT - installed fine and reads at 6850. Y'all still need to work on your website though.

I install it correctly and its not being detected by the ps5, i been wondering why its not working , my system is up to date and i have done everything right , what do i do ?? Also when i open up the slot , in the video there is green background where the m.2 goes but mine has metal where it lays down so completely silver, i did research and figured out its a 2300 series ps5

I bought this yesterday, it works fine but however it doesn’t download my games when I put it on rest mode . And yes , I have it all selected to download games on rest mode etc , anyone else having the same issue ? And my internet is fine .

Been working on getting mine to work in my PS5 for two hours; this thing isn't compatible. All updates done, confirmed the seating about a dozen different ways, and nothing. The box says PS5 Compatible on it, so it's not the old version. I've got the newer 1200 model of the PS5 (you can tell if your SSD slot has a metal casing instead of exposed green PCB). Maybe that's the reason. Now I get to traverse the hell that is Amazon returns. There's got to be a better solution out there.
Was your ps5 firmware updated, then? What's the update?
@@richiesilvestre461 Yep, it was 100% up to date. I ended up returning the drive and getting a WD Black, which worked on the first try, no issues.
i’m having the same issue right now i gave up after an hour of re positioning and wasn’t able to get the pop up of it being detected should i just say f it and get the wd one?
@@deborahcornejo6679 I think so. It isn't terribly finicky when it does work; if it's not detecting it after a few tries, it's not going to.

Considering it's a Corsair channel... yeah they probably do. Nah but fr from what I've seen online and reviews I've read this Corsair SSD is the best value SSD out there atm, I just ordered one a couple of hours ago.

So can i still play the games regardless of what storage they are on or do I have to move them from the extra storage into the main console storage?
This is what I was curious about because the PS5 drive I added won't stream the 5 games so I really only use it to store PS4 games I can actually play from it. Finding one I can store and run PS5 games on would be very nice.
@@hersquishy4201You can play PS5 games from either internal drive. You can't stream PS5 games from an external SSD (they're way too slow); that only works for PS4 titles.

Hi bro i am thinking to buy this nvme ssd for my pc.
Asus prime z690 motherboard. Which has 4 m.2 slots 3 of them is with heat sink on the motherboard and one is without heatsink.
I am think to use this nvme on the m.2 slot without heat sink.
My question is the m.2 slot which is without heat is connected to chipset not the cpu
Will it effect the performance of mp600 pro lxp 1tb connected to chipset slot.
Also have a option to buy the Mp600 pro xt nvme ssd 1tb.
Which is also with larger heatsink.

My ps5 randomly shuts off. Idk if it's this that caused it to shut off randomly only with ps5 games. Does this hve a heatsink on it?? I keep reading that people add a heatsink on. Also i took the top face plate off while my ps5 sits horizontaly bc it shuts off playing ps5 games and still does after i cleaned it out. I believe i didnt take all the dust out bc i dont habe a vaccuum but im gonna get one soon. Still i have no trouble playing red dead 2 all day long. I guess that doesnt use a lot of power as a ps5 game but yeah my ps5 is fucked up

Help so my PS5 is updated to lastest software I installed ssd as shown in video it formatted then when I tried to move a game to the SSD and use rest of downloading games to m.2 SSD my PS5 shut off randomly and now it won't even read my SSD mp600 pro lpx 4tb pcle gen 4 say doesn't meet requirements now and it worked earlier is it corrupted now?

I see comments everywhere saying it doesn't actually fit properly in PS5, and that's a no go for me. It seems to fit fine here but then why are several Amazon reviews and RUclips overviews of the ssd mentioning this as a flaw?
corsair mp600 series is mp600 pro lpx, mp600 pro and mp600. And for ps5 is mp600 pro lpx

It's just the heatsink. You can buy a good $10 one that goes with it, and it fits perfect and works perfectly also.
@@whatthehec6736 since this post I found the answer. This one wasn’t designed for PS5 but there is a new one that came out like a month ago that is specifically designed for PS5. It’s the same one as this PC one but thinner and perfectly fitted for the PS5 console.

You bought the wrong version. The PS5 one has a thinner heatsink.

DO NOT reinstall the default grey color, leave the slot open for heat ventilation. This is a huge mistake that only adds unneeded heat to the SSD. Leave the SSD slot open for the air from the cooling fan to reach the SSD. Alternatively you can buy an aftermarket heatsink cover, but the built in heat sink should be enough provided you leave the cover off to allow for ventilation. I can't believe people still recommend reinstalling the cover, this may very well lead to over heating and SSD failure in 6 months to a year.
Ya I think this is what happened to my ps5 cause one day the ps5 stopped working, so I took it into be repaired at a shop that fixes them and they took out this m.2 and told me not to use it I believe it did what you mentioned in the comments because of the extra panel they tell you to reattach, I filled out a warrenty to the company hopefully they reply and send me a new one since its under 5 yrs and this time I won't reattach the panel.

No don't leave off the cover you will end up getting alot of dust inside.

I bought the 2tb version and installed it back in December and for some reason my ps5 is not reading it anymore what can I do to fix this
I bought a 1 tb in like may or june and then my ps5 stopped detecting it like a month later. Did u end up finding a solution? I was thinking of just buying the wd black one from Playstation themselves
@@kiyotaka_1738 yeah what I ended up doing was using the warranty (each product has it, you don’t need to buy said warranty) by going in their website and filling out a couple forms. Doesn’t take too long and they’re pretty quick to respond as well
@@kiyotaka_1738 also don’t leave your p5 idle for too long to the point where it shuts off itself, I guess it messes with the hard drive and tries to reboot itself. And try not to leave it on rest often
@@georgec3271 bruh that's exactly what my brother would do. He'd be on it for hours and then put it in rest mode instead of turning it off. Guess that's why it got cooked after a month. Probably still need to buy a new one but yeah ig I'll exercise more caution with it. Appreciate the info 🤝

@@LostNoc when you leave your ps5 in restmode and say your power goes out while its in restmode it fries the ssd, so your ssd is most likely dead
