Thanks for watching! Will you be picking up a Corsair MP600 Pro LPX for your PS5? Do your have your eyes on something else? Reply to this and let's chat.
I've got a firecuda with the sabrent ps heatsink which I've been lead to believe is the best ssd with the best 3rd party heatsink! Interested to see why you think the corsair is best!
I went and bought the 2TB version of this drive for my PS5, installed it and only got a speed of 5500 mb/s, reformat a second time and it went down to 5300, did again and now I have a 5400. I reached out to support, I think I might've received a defective drive, all of the reviews and post I see online say 6300 and up.
I got this one (1T) Looking to install this weekend, fairly confident. Just wanted to make sure. I always trust those with British accents. I’m Canadian. Cheers 🍻
I think 2TB is a sweet spot for me. I mean I know I would probably use up around 1 TB ish but that 2TB purchase will be for peace of mind and future proof.
I just bought mine 2T for my PS5 for $109. Like alot of you I was doubtful because it isn't a familiar name brand. But on many sites and videos, this particular SSD got a ton of praise so I took a chance and bought one. The speed actually shocked me. I've transferred 10 games on to it and I still have a ton of space
Corsair is one of the best companies in terms of producing computer parts, storage and accessories. They are not only “well known” but one of the best companies in the game for production and quality
Honestly was looking at all the available SSD's. The Samsung 980, WD Black, Firecuda and Kingston. But the bang for your dollar was just too good for the corsair. It also had a built in heatsink and the solid reputation of Corsair was the deciding factor. Thanks for the Review.
Hey brother, filmmaker here. You don't need those little windmuff deadcat thingies on indoors, and for the most part, even outdoors. Your voice sounds muffled and I had to turn up the volume to hear it. That being said, I'm going to order the 2TB in the next week or two thanks to your review. 🙂
The 1TB corsair MP600 pro will do for a PS5 but in all honesty, it is pretty slow. The 2 & 4TB versions are the ones you want to buy because they are extremely fast. If you are downloading & moving games the read & write speeds of the 1 TB version are nothing to rave about and the high specs that they advertise are for the 2 & 4 TB versions.Unfortunately the 1TB version is only slightly faster than the standard PS5 read & write speeds..
Specs still see the S70 Blade as the better SSD. Keep in mind that in the future more and more games might utilize full capacity of SSDs with higher performances as there still seem to be bottlenecks within PS5s system handling data over to 3rd Party SSDs. These bottlenecks might be optimized in future system firmware updates. So with Read7.400/write6800 the S70 Blade still is the better choice.
Also word to the wise, DO NOT reapply the default cover for the SSD slot, leave it open, so the heat will be ventilated by the fan. There is no need to reapply the default SSD slot cover once the SSD is applied. All it does is seal the heat in, Better yet you can apply an aftermarket heatsink cover. Although the MP600 already has a built in heatsink.
Here is the problem with your testing methodology, how are you timing the loads? If you are hitting a button on a timer on your phone, you ignore the human element. While the drive is fine, you're putting your test results to the millisecond that ridiculous and completely unattainable.

Corsair is a huge name in the PC industry, for ram, ssds, pc cases and etc.

2TB...? man... I wish there were affordable fast reading/writing speed SSDs for PS5 consoles :/
There is a 1TB version too at half the price, still worth it if you are tight on space.
There on sale rn
Thanks mate. I will buy this for myself.
Thing is back panel won't come off
I did the same, see if the console was updated, I put the same corsair and it doesn't read it... I did it 5 times and it still doesn't read it

I woulda got myself another ps5 with that money
Good video! Thanks! Just picked one up on Amazon UK on a Black Friday deal for £125. Seems a bargain for the storage and performance! Bargain!
Is the firecuda 530 better than this one or not

Great review this made my decision. Really appreciate it
Thanks for info.purchased today for 250quids all in.
How has it held up for you so far?
@@JaninePark9 very well thank you, no problems at all. Very speedy.
does the Corsair MP600 PRO LPX 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe x4 Gen4 SSD good for the ps5 slim?
This exact card causes my PS5 to overheat and shut down multiple times

Where did you find that information from? I tried checking on Amazon and I can’t find anything that says that the 1tb is slower
I'm picking up mp600 4tb
Is ur corsair ssd still going alright after 6 month?
It most certainly is! Still running at same top speeds.
@@newrisingmedia what about now?
@@Pain-xq2urand now
Corsair is known for their ram quality and accessories. I’m sure out of all SSDs this one would be on top reliability.

Need your advice on wd sn850 with sabrent heatsink
But PS5 has it below 7400. Around 6100 according to Amazon reviews
@@markhor96 ok ask me questions
@@Darth-Shadow 6400 on ps5
@@FaaartinMartin the several videos I've seen, its around 6100
Tried playing modern warfare off this drive in my ps5 and it’s stuttery
That’s an issue with MW not the drive 😂

It's fine with the cover on, and that's recommended by Sony keep the dust out. The Cosair runs pretty cool anyway so it shouldn't be an issue.
You are mistaken there @tetratrance
If you don't it will push the heat in to console 😢
Bought this brick today, not recognised by PS5, so frustrated, nothing helps
SK hynix Platinum P41 better
Perez Shirley Wilson Jose Jones Larry
Williams Patricia Taylor Ruth Lopez Brian
Far from the best. Only best part about thia is price. Lol
What’s better ?
Probably didn't think before you wrote this comment 😂

Cn you use sabrent heatsink or any other additional heatsinks with this ssd ?
i damaged the inner screw and can’t get it out now💔🥲
👏👏👏 one job
