This is the best review I've seen of this truck. No-one else bothered to take it apart and show us the chassis, or to use a rotary dial so they can raise and lower it in a scale manner, rather than a sudden lurch. I enjoyed every second of the montage, too!
Matt at Scale Builder's Guild did a video including installing a device from Hey ok I think, its specifically designed for this truck that allows you to set the servo speed to appear scale using the stock radio. With some fancy radios you can just control servo speed via settings.. Cheers 👍

Man , i really wish redcat had a UK dealer . The hauler isn't really my cup of tea but I can appreciate it for what it is. In the last 12 months there have been atleast 3 releases from redcat that i'd happily add to my collection but as you've explained, the shipping and VAT just blows any chance of that straight out of the water. C'mon Redcat! Also appreciate that you stuck to your guns with the " you don't need to be first to put out a good video" idea Phil. Was nice to see your take on it

This a great looking hauler. Redcat has a done a wonderful job on this r/c. I am sure in the Summer if you went to car shows across the U.S. these will be seen. As you said, in the low rider community it will be very popular. Redcat has come so far in the quality of its products, I don't recall if you reviewed but the Ascent crawler is suppose to be quite good. This vehicle is just cool. In the UK they hold meets where Tamiya haulers are put on display and driven around, Although this doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Tamiya giant semis, I wonder what people at those shows would think of this? You did a excellent review.
A British dealer is missing a trick with redcat. I have a gen8 and love it. The quality is excellent and performance matches. Love that truck, It looks awsome! C'mon modelsport, get importing them....

That's looks beautiful. The scale looks and graphics make it look absolutely awsome. I love the overall look, and the light kit. Now they just need a diesel truck sound box and it would be perfect.

Unrelated to this lovely video but I found an Ftx parts store that ships to the us!!!! The plan is to fully restore my helion Invictus and had I not watched all of your Ftx reviews I’d have never known that they were the exact same chassis and drivetrain. Parts on the way🎉
I love my redcats. My gen 7 pro is a tank, it's gone off 45ft+ drops and ate it like a champ. Only thing I've broken in a year of consistent abuse is a driveshaft and a rod end.
What a beast she is, I’ve seen someone else drop one fitting the extra servo’s, do it before you put the bed on I think? He weathered it and it looked the dogs! There’s a huge community into these low riders but as you say in America, great vid and what a beast…💯😎
9:50 I think you need to start with the customizing....def some under carriage lighting and some along the edges of the bed to illuminate the vehicle up there. If you wanted to go nutso you could put some dash lights/interior lights in to illuminate the driver. The suspension rise/lower is pretty simple, don't think it'd be an issue to use 4 servos instead of 2 and then you could go crazy.....front, rear, left, right, all, nothing,. After seeing the loading portion, you SO need to make the ramps remote controlled as well.....
I think it would look great ratted ! Don’t know if you follow full throttle rc but he did a lovely build with a pickup with his own design suspension to go up and down.
Beautiful peace of kit and those lights look amazing too but I'll have to admit.. those prices are ridiculous 😒 shame we don't have our own redcat dealer but I have a sneaking feeling they would add the extra charges even being based over here
I want one because my real life truck lays out just like that. Get some of those titanium plates they make for rc and screw them to the bottom. Then you can make it look like you're dragging frame as you drive if you lay it out.

A proper low riding drivers head should be visible at the bottom the side window as if he's peering through the steering wheel while viewed from the side, Austin would be laughed off the street around here with his head buried in the headliner.

awesome dude , redcat has so many nice models and at a reasonable price , but here in the netherlands we only get few ecl.scale crawlers , they made some great nitro trucks to (i'm more of a nitro guy) but so strange now big redcat dealers here to .🤔👍
