I take pride in providing you completely honest reviews, therefore any odd sponsorships are with third parties whom I personally support, and not with fragrance brands. Any money contributed to My World of Fragrance goes towards bringing you more free videos around the topic of perfume.
Ganymede was a huge love at first sniff. I had ordered a bunch of samples, we did a family sniffing and my son chose it as his first fragrance, so I gifted it to him for his 18th birthday. More recently I tried Encelade, which I didn't like, and B683, which is more round and a tad more feminine on my skin than Ganymede. I love it too! So much so that I plan to buy it. These 2 are true master pieces, very "signature worthy"... Amazing.
I’m glad you like Ganymede 😊 I’m lucky to have bought my bottle in 2022 as some say there may have been a reformulation and that the newer bottles don’t have the same performance ever since they launched the extraits. Ganymede has some of the best sillage out of anything in my collection. To the people who are unfamiliar with fragrances, I’ve received comments of it just smelling “clean.” In my experience, the saffron and akigalawood really push during the heat and it has enough lasting power to deal with high heat without being cloying at all. It does have that pool water, chemical something or other foundation but I feel like that’s what makes it so interesting.
Can we stop with the reformulation thing? Literally. NO they have not made reformulations on Ganymede

I got a fresh 2024 version yesterday and was afraid because of all this rumours regarding reformulation and I can say it's still the absolute same fragrance as my 2021 decant.
@@gangigooga7710 Thankful you said it. Please. Everyone on the face of the earth. Please don't ever say "reformulation" again or anything of the sort. Just stop.
I do love Ganymede but it’s not the easiest to wear as you say. Weirdly it’s become more difficult the longer I’ve had it. I don’t think winter shows it in its best light to be honest. The extrait of B683 is so wonderful though….its like a very smooth classy version of its sister parfum and Ganymede. Talking of extraits, I still don’t know what the idea was behind an extrait version of Ganymede. Doesn’t seem to take it anywhere interesting. Certainly not enough to justify the price in my opinion
Ah yes, I feel the same way. I really want the B683 extrait as it has topped the others for me as well. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🌹Xo Sam
Love everything from MAB, this is the brand that has 100% success rate with me!
Lovely comparison Sam. Thank you! 💛
I prefer B683 on me. As you said, it is more wearable and understated. Ganymede is beautiful too but too much curry (immortelles) in the drydown for me.
You mention Ganymede…to much curry.. Do you mean the extrait version of it? If so, I agree….very off putting / obnoxious cumin.
Finally picked up a full bottle of Ganymede after having a 30 ml decant. An amazing masterpiece that is indeed complex but still a great signature scent. I was given a sample of Encelade with my purchase and was blown away by this fragrance. I almost had buyers remorse for Ganymede! But seriously, Encelade is incredible and powerful. I will probably add a decant to my collection as I think it has a more narrow wearing opportunity but definitely want it as an option in my fragrance wardrobe. If you happen to do a house review I would be interested to know your thoughts. ✌️ thank you for your reviews, world class 🤩
Ganymede is my most favorite perfume of all times...and Quentin Bische is truly a genius of perfumery!
Funny thing is that I’m literally wearing Ganymede today and one of my male colleagues who never complimented me on fragrances (tho I wear a tone of really good stuff) said: you have very nice fragrance and while I was making happy flips in the air in my mind, he said: smells like meat….
Well… whatever! 😂 still love it and would wear it! 😊
Great video
Hey Sam, I am a new subscriber, I‘ve been binge watching your videos since I discovered your channel. I just want to say that your are very inspiring and I really enjoy your recommendations. Thanks to you I found some real gems among the parfum universe and started exploring the niche even further.
Greetings from Berlin!
Ganymede is so amazing. I love how mineralic it is. B683 is also really beautiful. I still don't have a full bottle but I'm planning to get it one day. ❤
Sorry for stupid question - do you wear these yourself? You mentioned a couple times that they are must have fragrances for men so just wanted to know whether you personally consider them unisex
❤ I love the way you describe scents 👏👏👏 it is so accurate and photogenic !
I tend to go and test the fragrances you speak about, just to find that …. I had already nearly smelled them before even getting my nose on them 😂 thanks you! Joan
Is this unisex all 3 gany b and encelade 🤔
Yay Sam! Love your take on these cool fragrances! ❤️👏👏🙌🙌🙌
I’m interested to hear your thoughts on the rest of the line! 😀🙌👏👏
They have been around for almost 10 years!!
Love your take on everything. I have never seen these in Brisbane, Australia but maybe i should blind buy one after your approval.😅
Thanks for the review I want to check these out, especially the extraits. Violet leaf is absolutely one of my favorite notes (Thanks to Fahrenheit Le Parfum)!
Not as prominent as in the original.Parfum version suits me more.
Well, I just learned something new. I thought these fragrances were niche.
They are niche...very niche. There is something unique and addictive about them.
From these two I like Ganymede the best. I don’t particularly like the extrait versions, it is like the original scent tries to escape to the surface but is constantly being restrained by non interesting extrait parts. It’s a muddled original. Kudos for describing these scents. It is easier to appreciate them for what they bring to the table than trying to describe the scent… My best attempt for Ganymede was: stepping into the back of a RR Phantom and grabbing a bouquet of dried flowers out of the champagne fridge. Kinda. 😉
Love this video! Do you have a favorite wood scented perfume?
I ordered a 30 ml bottle of Encelade …. Obviously a scent memory from childhood… probably from my family camping outings and campfires but absolutely adore it … so green so Smokey no so addictive….the dry down is wonderful as well….so. Question. Which to go with B or Ganymeade.
My favorites are B683 Extrait and Ganymede Extrait, waiting for the Encelade Extrait👀🔥🔥🔥
Ganymeade reminds me of the interior of a brand new BMW!
Ganymede smells amazing I wear it more in the Summer..
B683 Extrait is my choice for potential bottle. For now I have some decants and samples and I’m good. I appreciate both Ganymede and B683 although they’re not my cup of tea. Somehow they’re too much and at some point they become ‘enough’ for me, but nope, they just keep on going. Not a fan of sensory overload 😂 but hey, that’s Quentin Bisch.
Have you tried Bois Imperiale? Kind of Ganymede Silver, I use it as my running perfume for some reason. Not as otherworldly but has the Bish strangeness.
I think they are both amazing fragrance is but I find myself reaching for b683 the majority of the time over Ganymede.
Love Ganymede.
Have 30ml bottles of both... really the perfect size. I also prefer B683 a bit. It's just easier to work with.
