Kingston celebrates International Women's Day

The Inner Wheel for International Women’s Day (IWD), attended by the mayor, hosted an all women’s talk last week Friday to acknowledge the wonderful achievements made by a few local women.
This ranged from the establishment of a community choir promoting the wellbeing and voices of abuse and violence survivors to the creation of multiple villages in Sudan to help the locals following the collapse of the healthcare system over the last years.
This was one of numerous events that occurred throughout the week to celebrate IWD, highlighting how important and desired the attainment of gender equality is in Kingston.
