  • The Chair of RBKares, Kate Kenyon BEM, said the past two years had proven that mobilising the local community to help those in need is possible.
RBKares is a local charity, which focuses on helping vulnerable people and disadvantaged communities in the Royal Borough of Kingston.
According to Kenyon, their two biggest achievements so far have been a regular sewing workshop for refugees and wellbeing days at Cambridge Gardens.
The work of RBKares has also been noticed by the Mayor of Kingston, Cllr Diane White, who visited one of their workshops at St John's Church.
She said that what RBKares does “really makes a difference and changes lives”.
Kenyon, a retired doctor, is currently looking for more volunteers to expand her work beyond Kingston.
