Did anyone else get super emotional when the kid said " My dream is to be a solider. Because a solider can protect the people and the country." I think it's more meaningful if you understand it in Chinese

Yeah, yeah. Becoming a soldier and help the banditry-hooligan communist government to bully and invade little Taiwan and the South Seas. Taiwan, Japan, Korea and the US helped China develop when it decided to open up, hoping that a prosperous and advanced China would become a democratic regime. However, the Chinese are now ingrates, biting the hands which had fed them, and became an accursed bully. The CCP continues to brainwash its people with an anti-foreign sentiments, believing everyone is China's enemy and they rather embrace dictatorship than democracy because they need the CCP to protect them from invasion. The CCP also feeds them with an invading, bullying nationalistic sentiments - this is your mother's sovereignty, that's your granny's land, not to allow your daddy's balls being split apart. China people don't understand wealth and military power cannot earn respect and adoration.

It's not a problem to be solved. We are still in the progress of urbanization, people will move in the cities, the school will shut down when these kids go the middle school in town, a village with no cropable land like this will die. But that's ok. We are constantly moving away from old lives. While it can be sad, we'll find the future.

Even in remote places, equipment and teachers will be sent to teach. And almost all the teachers in the developed areas of the country will go to remote places to support teaching, which is even a required course for new graduates. In China,as long as the scores are enough, everyone will be admitted to the university without worrying about the cost, so the mobility of Chinese class is very fast.

Survival of the fittest, not faith or prayer, gets people through, even if with sustained misery. That is how the ruling elite continue. This is what my Grandma told me about when i was still a kid, that life in China was not easy before and there were still no modern buildings and vehicles. Almost all of the places were still abundant with grass fields, trees, and mountains. My Grandma was also a farmer back then, and she told me that every harvest of rice is very hard before, cause you got to pick them up one by one from your own hands and wash the dirt off to make it clean and food was very scarce also before due to weather changes. The only food my grandmother eats everyday is a simple porridge made out of rice she worked hard for. In going to school, she had to walked several kilometers just to reach the school's destination and walked back home again. When my Grandma passed away, i always remember what she told me that i should not waste any food and always make my plate clean with no leftovers and I should be thankful that i didn't go hungry and i realized how painful it is to experience what my grandma told me about and what is it like to have less or nothing to eat due to hardship or poverty.

I applaud these men for staying at that school and providing he boys with much needed adult care and attention. They could have left like the others and are most likely suffering financial hardships as a result. That's dedication to your students and your profession rarely witnessed here in the west. Somebody please set up a gofundme for these boys the elderly villagers and those teachers, so many people the world over would help. I hope they are able to be rehomed in the new social housing China has been investing in. I also know China has lifted many millions out of poverty so I hope they too will be.

This is how my father grew up. Had to walk the same distance to school every day with 10 students in the entire school and grew up on a farm. Some days he had to stay home and work on the farm instead of going to school. Had to share a bedroom with multiple siblings, toilet was a bucket. Only difference was this was in Canada.

It seems that the area they live in is not suited very well for farming. So by any logic, it makes sense for people to move to more prosperous areas. Yes, these villages will eventually be gone, but they should be gone as they only promote poverty. We have a saying in the west. Dont send food to the people in the desert, send them UHaul Trucks. (big company that rents trucks for moving households) because nothing will ever grow in the desert, so thereby the only help you can give is moving them to areas better suited for living.

    • @andreashauschild5101
      @andreashauschild5101 6 лет назад +6

What are you talking about. 90% of the people that now are middle class lived in areas not so different then that. What they did is move to Shenzhen, and or other industrial areas and earn money. Sure the kids stayed behind, but in a very short time by any standards allot of these people where able to lift them self into a better live. Chinese people are very good at figuring out how to earn money. But most do it by moving away from the areas that have no money and moving to areas that are industry heavy. And yes, initially they have to do it alone and the grand parent take care of the kids, but most manage eventually to increase their income enough to either bring part or all of the family to the new place, or to provide enough money to improve the old place.
And whats with throwing around statements such as mentally retarded. You must be a liberal democrat, since only those resort to name calling on simple conversations.

Well, again with the personal attacks, really a very low way to make a point, but that being said. If you are so humanitarian, so concerned and shocked, why dont you send your paychecks to them and help them lift them self out of situation they are in. In the US more people are ending up living on the street every year, where in China more people every year move them self into middle class. My point is that in the location they are living there is no opportunity to make money, no opportunity to improve. This means the only way they will improve the situation is if they move to a location that does have economic opportunities.

Andreas Hauschild then again they’re probably working on moving to another place but right now they can’t bc one there dirt broke and second they have a big family and they need to feed them and make sure they survive which cost money to raise the family I’m sure they will like to move but economically they can’t and schools in he city cost money which they cannot afford therefore moving to another place will be useless and I couldn’t find any websites that I can donate some money to help them

A few months ago,I went with the welfare agents along with a few students and teachers from my school to a poor village. Most of the children only had one grandparent or parents with disabilities. They were living in a deplorable condition but they were happy and Excelled in school. I marveled at their condition yet, they didn’t complain or blamed others for their misfortunes like people in the western world. I really admire those qualities and I actually cried because I felt humbled..

Perhaps the most practical way we can help is to send parcel(s) to their school. It costs them much time & money to travel to the city to buy what they need.
      Suggestion of Needed items:
      - Dehydrated nutritious food ( no refrigerators at their homes )
      - Tooth brush & paste, bath soap, towels, face cloths, nail clipper & file,
      - Bilingual children's science & story books, as they are learning English,
      - Stationary ( painting brushes, colour paints & large papers, pencils & sharpeners, erasers, exercise books, math instruments, ...etc)
      - Football
      - Basketball & basket
      - Badminton net(s) & equipment for 6- 8 people
      - Chinese marbles & chess sets
      - Lego building blocks
      - Skipping ropes
      - Winter hats, gloves & boots & clothing. ( The boys were walking
10 Km in total to & from school at -12C degrees on barren land with
no vegetation to keep any heat on the ground.)

The question is how to get a hold of these actual school addresses. But I like your point and think something like this would be a great idea versus through a third party charity that we may not fully know where the money ends up. I'll have to do some digging on to find out more information on sending something like what you mentioned directly. Great suggestion again, BlessAll2015KC
