Just bought one in the matte black, been used to a gravel bike so love the big chunky tyres and feeling more confident already on the trails, great video
Was looking to all possible variants of something little bit more aggressive hardtail (i mean more oriented for trails than xc), and came that Roscoe 7 are best choice, quality/parts/price. So got 2024 model for 1059 eur, getting it in 2 weeks, can't wait.
Love that Color! You grabbed the same pedals/ grips as me. Were you just as disappointed that PNW didn't throw any stickers in the packaging (for either product)? lol $50 for pedals and no stickers... I digress 😂
Yes the new 6 is much closer to the 7 that I have. The frame is now identical. With the 7 you'll get the Deore drivetrain with 12sp where the 6 is only a 9sp. The forks are probably similar in spec from a quick look at the moment. The new 6 is a decent bike for the price although the spec is a bit lower. If you have the funds go with the 7. The 12sp and the Deore is rock solid for a drivetrain. The older 6 if you can still get one is a decent bike. Jack rides one of those even though the frame is a little older.
@@eightwheeladventures Does 12 sp mean you'll have an easier time on climbs as with the 9 sp? Or is the range the same and you mainly have more refined gears between highest and lowest?
@Jose-sy1je the cassette on the 9sp ranges from 11-46 teeth and the 12sp cassette goes from 11-51 teeth. So yes the 12sp will give you a couple more easier gears for climbing and I think it's 1 more in between some where. I would have to look specifically where it lays.
Great video. Seriously considering this bike. What did you think of the brakes? Some reviewers not impressed with them. Also, what is that sweet handlebar mounted camera?
Thanks. Appreciate that. I haven't found any issues with the brakes. Plenty of stopping power. We also have a Roscoe 6 in our families stable of bikes and that has no braking issues either. Device on the handlebars is a Garmin edge 530 computer. We use a GoPro Hero 10 on a chest strap for the video shooting.
@@eightwheeladventures My mistake about what I thought was a camera. I think the reviewers that criticize the brakes are more experienced riders who are used to high end components and are riding difficult advanced trails where these brakes may under perform. Thanks for the info.
@@fredbaaske182 I have a roscoe 7, the shimano mt200 brakes a very good for the money and all I did was swapping out the levers for some nice slx m7100 levers as that offers a little more power. No need to do that though, a lot of people complain because the bedding in process is a little lengthly compared to other brakes. after a couple runs down an inclined hill the power increases tremendously. The brakes that come on this bike are on almost all on this hardtail price range. I think it is crazy still that people think it's just this bike's problem
@@meepcheep314 Thanks Jake. I always bed in new pads and as you said it makes a world of difference. I`m almost ready to pull the pin and purchase this bike in an XL frame. It is a very well equipped bike for the price. Just have to decide on which color. Did it take some time to get used to the slack geometry, shorter chain stays, 29er wheels etc?
I bought this bike solely for the frame cause it's so good looking! Replaced just about everything but the dropper post. I should probably upload a bike check video.

Awesome is such a great bike. You will love it.
I hope you’re enjoying it. I just bought the Roscoe 7 in Miami Green. Absolutely awesome bikes
@@PatrickKendOh yes i do. Upgraded pedals and raised handlebars, and getting a lot of fun
@TG-tf8cr that's awesome. It's a great bike. I love mine.

Awesome. Enjoy it. 😄
Beautiful day. 🎉🎉
Why did you replace the cranks?
Haven't replaced anything that major yet. I replaced the pedals as the cheap plastic ones they come with just don't have the traction.
Mine came with shimano cranks
Ah. Yeah mine came with the race face ones. Must have been what was in stock when it was getting built up. Lol.
I got same color love this bike change my pedalraceface pedal nice trail
It is a gorgeous colorway. Hope you are enjoying yours.

I love the big platform on the pedals -Chris
What makes the Roscoe 7 better than the 6? As far as I know the 6 has the same frame, so you could probably upgrade on specs, right?

@@eightwheeladventures The lower number (11) stands for the easier gears if you go uphill? Or is it the higher number?
@Jose-sy1je higher numbers are easier when it comes to teeth on the cassette in the back.
