We had to ride to our friends house without calling first just to find out they aren’t home lol. Our cartoons were edgy but realistic in dialogue. Good times
This game was so ahead of its time, the graphics the sound effects the battle combos and the fetalities all are insane, this game is a classic and definitely one of the best games in the history of video games, and the developers who mad this masterpiece are geniuses, to this day its still one of the few games that are actually playable

I remember the 1st MK🐉 machine being revealed @ a movie theatre near my house. One of the game developers was there to demo the game against any challenger for free. It was a big crowd. "Toasty!"😁🔥🐲
I personally like the new ones , although I’m younger so I didn’t get to play the arcade . I do have the arcade 1 up and find it enjoyable just wish I knew how to do the fatalities and better combos .
Dan Forden nailed the sounds effects with those Boombastic hits and screams when they get crushed. The stage themes are also excellent. My favorite is the Cathedral stage theme.

Nour KSIKSI YES! If there's one thing the MK (specifically MK3) games got perfect it was the overall presentation. Amazing soundtrack, high impact sfx, awesome font style text and menus.
thats basically how they made the game, it was really low resolution recordings of actual people. thats why mk 1,2,3 were so magnificent and better in legions then the ones made after.
Liu Kang (just as Fei Long from SSF and Law from Tekken) are adaptations of Bruce Lee, so they tried to "copy" the styling and all the gimnick of Lee's characters
