I am not a Muslim but I have a story back in the mid 1990s my mother lived in an apartment and right above her was a lovely Muslim family and we were all having dinner together on the 4th of July I am American and the husband had some sort of attack and he passed out ends up to be a brain aneurysm and that night he became a paraplegic. This Muslim woman wanted to care for her husband instead of have him live in a home so she brought him home and my mother and I were amazed at all of the Muslim women that came by to cook for the family and bring groceries and clothes and to come and watch the husband, take the children to school, babysit so that she could have a break, there was so much support within the Muslim community especially among the women it really was beautiful. My mother was very close to this woman they had been friends for several years before this happened. The Muslim woman said she didn't even know personally all the the kind women helping her but they were all pulling together when one of them is in need. And my mother said that she had never seen such tender love between a couple in her life this Muslim woman loves her husband so much she would massage his head and pick him up so that he could see everything so he never had to be left out of any of his children's experiences and she was also very impressed by their treatment of each other. The woman was constantly thinking of what here husband might need though her could not talk or communicate in any way. Since that time in the 90s I have always had so much respect for the Muslim faith and community. Love to all...everyone.

Not a Muslim. But recently we have hit hard times and most food banks here are Christian oriented which required a letter from a bishop/pastor/priest to access 🫠 i am not a Christian. I had to drive an hour away but thr Muslim food bank simply asked "how many adults? How many children? How old are the kids? Ok! Here you go!" And handed me a few boxes worth of food and occasionally they offer hot food to take.
I was so happy and thankful i volunteered at the islamic center as a way to show my thanks. They are the kindest people i know.

I am big built but very self conscious because I always get people looking at me ,no matter how much I diet my body does not change .😢

It prevents ppl getting arrogant and getting a superiority complex based on superficial trates.
Keeps ppl down to earth, modesty. Trys to prevent self entitlement and Princess complex.
It trys to prevent the commercialisation/weaponising of "beauty", by it not being a publicly displayed and traded commodity/currency.
Trys to give women a break from having to compete with each other on just beauty, in open public. That can cause feelings of jealousy.
Helps to try to prevent an army of simps and street pestering. As her beauty is for HER and the special people SHE chooses in her life.
Helps to try to prevent insecurities trying to maintain unrealistic and unsustainable beauty standards, that are forever changing and expensive to uphold.
This can cause mental issues in people and the sense of constant judgement and body shaming from people that don't know you or care about your long-term good.
You will be able to fast the whole month of ramadan. That should take a few kilos off. Oh! I forgot you are allowed to start pigging out after sunset until sunrise to get you through the following day of fasting. Most muslims put weight on during the wondrous time of ramadan so maybe my idea is not so good for you after all.
As to you wearing the muslim dress to hide yourself from the world. Muhammad forced women to cover up to prevent the muslim males from raping them when they saw their uncovered bodies and got all horny. If you are as rotund as you say you are, maybe it is a good idea not to coverup. The muslim males will only go for the slim, pretty females so you will be safe from them.
Don't forget if you take your shahadha and find later on that the religion is not actually what you thought it was and want to leave. Your Holely Prophet Muhammad told his followers the following in this Sahih (authentic) Hadith

@@endpc5166 Nobody is asking you to save Muslim women. They can take care of themselves. You can ask them if they need your help. Hijab is a Middle Eastern and Islamic tradition. Even mother Mary would cover her head. On your second point, Muslims feel they are hated because the media misrepresents Islam. No Muslim has ever burned the scripture of other faiths as Islam teaches to respect other faiths. Western Christians have burnt the Quran in USA, Sweden, Germany, etc. So, who hates whom? Please take your time to investigate. Also, get a copy of the Quran and read with an open mind.

salam veronica! You mentioned gender equality and that women and men have equal rights but from my research they have very different rights and responsibility for example women can't work without their husband permission. How is this then "equal"? Do you follow any specific school of thought?
1. Muslim men are obligated to pay for the wife and children, Muslim women are not.
2. Women are more anxious and afraid at witnessing certain crimes.
3. Women's population exceeding men's necessitates some sort of polygyny, otherwise fornication would be rampant, like amongst Non-Muslims/Kaafirs.
I do believe if all man know about Sanatan Dharma heartily they shall get heavenly peace, happiness, divinity, spirituality to enjoy life widely.

The reasons first point: It's just gibberish, they are generalities that can be found in any religion, second point the moral values, How can they be moral values when the husband can have up to four wives?, the prophet Muhammad had up to 12 wives even one of the wife was a little girl, third point: not sure but its not the same being a muslim in a western country than any other country from the middle east, women many times arent allow to work, they are confined to the house in some places even can't drive a car, why should i move to another religion when the muslim countries from the middle east spend all their time fighting wars among themselves like Iran and Saudi arabia and others..
I believe that people who changed their religion are because they were looking for therapy and a stricter way of living life, the people who leave religion in the first place are because they were not really strong practitioners nor did they know it deeply they are easy prey for anyone who comes talking about another faith, now the book was inspired straight from God, seriously? Who was there to testify that this was the case or do you just have to believe it because they or someone say so? What about the Book of Mormon, which their church also say was written by God in a cave and then later disappeared? So which one really was it? i do respect the islam religion but i dont see a reason to jump of ship, I did take a look in the muslim religion years ago i had a conversation with some muslim old fella and he was trying to justify the violence, bombs etc and I thought no, no for me.. Im christian i was a weak but im in my path to be a stronger practitioner of the faith i believe in Jesus Christ who performed miracles, angels came with him before he was born and after he was crucified, the evil spirits were afraid of him cast out many from some people, cured sickness, who calmed a water storm in a lake, raised people from the dead, all the facts and life of Jesus, son of God were something supernatural that is not seen in any other religion and never he had the need to use violence. How many Muslims do you actually personally know? Have you read the Quran? Have you read about the prophet’s life. am a Muslim business woman who owns an insurance agency, a wife, and a mother and I am in no way oppressed.. culture and religion are two different things.

What are your thoughts on Muslim men being able to have multiple wives and not requiring wives consent for that, the lack of concept of content to sex within a marriage, where a woman is expected to always be there to satisfy her husband and justification for under aged girls to be sold off to marriage, once they have their first period? Oh, also, what about having to cover up and being unable to even go for a swim or tan in a swimsuit? Lastly, if hijab is about modesty, why is that that slave women are forbidden to wear one and have to remain bare chested according to Quran?
Last question is about joining and leaving Islam. Everyone is free to join. What should happen to people that decide to leave Islam? I've seen countless videos and stats, where large percentage of the Muslim majority countries claim that death is the only reasonable punishment. Which is interestingly similar to insulting Mohammed.
