We use this method, if the car is not too dirty then you can get away without using hose and pre-wash.
We soak the car in ONR using pressure sprayers.
Then wash it, 256:1 (4 caps full in a 5-10L bucket) using normal chenille wash mitts. (different mitt for top and bottom of the car)
We then spray a light layer of wax to use as a drying aid and to add a little protection.
    Thanks for uploading this :)

Hi thanks for watching. I’ve recently started to use alternative Wash media such as chenille mitts/pads more cost effective and can be swapped away for different parts of the vehicle.

Do you swap the chenilles after each panel or just rinse and repeat?

I rinse it after each panel or section & I use a dedicated pad/mitt for the lower sections of the vehicle.

Tbh if you're gonna put Citrus on the car, I'd just whip out the pressure washer and snow foam the car with touchless which is free rinsing and leave it as that. Job done until the spring.

I have done something similar in the past, recently I just can’t be bothered getting everything set up, just want the minimum about if equipment and product & get the car looking presentable.

I absolutely love seeing RagCo products being used around the globe seeing how they're a few hours drive from here. I wasn't a huge fan of the UBS at first but I found it useful when I did not want to do laundry after washing the car. Not sure if car wash places exist where you live but here in the states I recommend people to take their autos to those places to remove the majority of road film and contamination and then drive home to perform the rinseless washes. Have you got your hands on P&S Absolute yet? Slicker than ONR!

Hi I’m still 50/50 on the UBS. I do have a pressure washer and we do have pressure washer at fuel stations to use also, I mainly use this method in winter or when I really don’t want to connect the pressure washer set everyone up and just do a ‘quick wash’ get the car looking clean and presentable.
I haven’t had a chance to try it yet Absolute just yet I was actually think of trying Rinseless Wash by DIY Detail.

@@JDDetailing I have both absolute and DIY. I like DIY more it seems to be a stronger cleaner and off label uses its MUCH better.

I’ve picked DIY Rinsless but is expensive here in the UK compared to absolute for 16oz DIY is £16.95 where as P&S is 17.95 for 32oz.

@@JDDetailing yeah i went ahead and got the gallon after using my small bottle. Its competitive here in Canada at that volume. Excited to try labocosmetica's idrosave actually.

The gallon is price competitively against other rinseless just the 16oz is pricey.
I’ve never tired any labocosmetica products I’d like to try their snowfoam.

A well presented video using ONR, maybe do a comparison on your next video using the microfibre method soaked in ONR for those who don't want to spend the money on the sponge. Better results come using spotless water or deionised water but as it states you can wash and dry so there's less chance of water spotting.

    • @JDDetailing
      @JDDetailing  11 месяцев назад +1

Hi Jonny thank you for the kind words much appreciated. I have been considering using Microfibre towels and other wash pads/mitts as I don’t see any benefit other than the dedicated rinseless wash pad covering a large surface area and able to retain the ONR & can be squeezed as needed this can be replicated with a half decent Chinelle/Microfibre pad as the dirt didn’t fall in the slits as the manufacturer claims.
I have started to use Deionised water for products that I dilute and will be leaving in a bottle on a shelf for a while not really had an issue with water spotting with rinseless wash.

Hi great vid. Ive just started detailing my own car, but still cant get my head around no rinse washing yet.
Quick question should I be concerned abiut using high alkaline ph13 wheel cleaners on diamond cut alloys? Read somewhere that i ahould be using ph neutral really as high acid and alkaline can damage the coating.

    • @JDDetailing

Hi, thanks glad you found the video enjoyable.
The simplest way I think of rinseless is that it is a shampoo and just to tweek the method slightly. One big misconception is that you ‘have to’ use rinseless directly on a dirty car you can still pre wash.
In regards to alloy wheels I would be cautious with diamond coated wheels prolonged usage could cause issues.
What I have found is use a good wheel cleaner there are lots out there find what works for you and regularly maintain them , this will help especially if you do a lot of millage.
I have started to clean my wheels on a separate occasion to the rest of the car due to time constraints this allows me to take my time, get them clean and looking good.

Why are you not using the grit guard for the sponge?

    • @JDDetailing

Hi recently I’ve adjusted my method and try to minimise dirt in my wash bucket by rinsing the mitt/sponge with a hose away from the bucket.

I must try it . I never tried rinseless wash, it's really not popular at all in my country

    • @JDDetailing
      @JDDetailing  11 месяцев назад

I don’t think it’s really taken off that much here either I’ve had it for a while but I was using it for other tasks.
Last year due to a hose pipe ban I started to use it & it’s actually pretty decent.

To can relate I feel like when I want to do a maintenance wash this will be my go to method plus it saves on a lot of time don’t have to use so much equipment & products.

That does Not seem to be a real winter... more like a fall with weeds still green and no trace of road salt... Would love to see a real "winter" wash where you only have about less than 10 minutes from start to finish or else deal with frozen soap solution or a sheet of ice over the entire car... 😉

This is a British winter 😂 if it’s that cold I’m staying indoors. We had a bit of snow last week the car is covered with salt etc will hopefully put something together. Thanks for watching.
