You could mix in a little bit of pigment with your shampoo and conditioner. That way you don't have to dye it all the time. A friend of mine does this with her red hair and it works very well.

I’ve got neon medium purple hair, I used Ultaviolet by Manic Panic, I haven’t re-dyed my hair yet because I use a purple color adding shampoo, with base drops of purple added and some conditioner (base drops are like sort of dye). So far my hair has got even more purple than my original dye job, so I haven’t re-dyed it yet because It’s so much work. But my hair has stayed bright for 3 months after dyeing using this method

How do you keep your hair healthy if your dying it all the time?
the brand she uses doesn't damage your hair at all. They are semipermanent hair dyes with no amoniac or quimical stuff like that so they take care your hair as well

@@jajcirbela5217 Her hair looks naturally dark, how does a semi-permanent show up on dark hair? Either she has naturally very light hair, or it's not semi-permanent, or she lightens it at the salon so it will show up.
That's probably the "process" she's referring to at the salon, & since there's no way to lighten your hair without damaging it, how does she keep her long hair so healthy?

Ashley Ward that can't be right unless she is a very light blonde naturally.
The salon "process" is the lightening of her hair & the purple is a semi-permanent, which isn't damaging because it sits on top of the hair shaft. It also absorbs more purple because it's porous (damaged) from being bleached.
She didn't share the "process", the fact it was a semi-permanent product, & definitely not the products she uses to keep her hair healthy.
It's definitely damaged though. Watch some videos on products to keep your hair healthy. Oh, & it depends on your hair type which products will work best for you.

Hey beautiful, at the end when you said the "follicle" stays closed, you actually ment to say the "cuticle" which is the outer layer of the hair shaft (the follicle is what the hair grows out of), just trying to help 💜. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but do you bleach your hair at all to keep it purple? I have really dark hair and it looked like you do too and your hair is so purpley and lovely and I need to buy some of that dye if you don't use bleach and have dark hair and get it that colour!
Natalie yes I had to bleach my hair before. But I only needed to get it to an orangish color not totally blond. Then I just touch up my roots every 8 weeks or so:))

hey! thanks for comin by my channel and glad you were inspired by my look:) i must say, bleach is a tough thing and i did not demonstrate that part in this video because i advise it be done professionally. however, once your hair is light enough (without brassiness) you can try diluting the dye ration you want with water or conditioner so it doesn't get too dark. but you can also get this done by a professional and they can tell you their ratio custom to your hair type. hope this helps!!
I love your purple I dyed mine last night need more purples mixed iroruo purple lie locks manic panic and some black was to dark so washed with warm shampoo then did another round hot water shampoo and then conditioner hair mask still a bit to dark but Still very pretty washing in warm hot today to to use volume shampoo and conditioner to style my hair so lol 😆 gonna stay purple awhile now wasn't liking blue on me at all lol 2 vitamin c clarifying shampoo sit for 60min then a wash dry hair hair color remover got it faded enough to do purple lol

Do you think it would be okay for me to put this dye on top of faded red dyed hair?? Or would I have to bleach it? Because I really love this color and I wanted it but I also really don’t want to do too much damage on my hair rn!! :( if you could please reply that would mean a lot, Tysm!!!
hi Beth! have u tried using a purifying shampoo to get out the excess red? if it is light enough (even a peachy or light strawberry red) you should be good! hope this helps:)

So when you first start do you use developer to put into The Mixing Bowl? Of course you can't because your hair is already purple but when first starting do you lift the hair blonde, put the purple tubes inside of the mixing bowl with developer?
Wignificent Collection hey hey! I totally recommended getting it done by a professional a few times.... at least!-full disclosure I didn’t start bleaching my self til recently so be sure u know what products they use and timing!
But if you are gunna do it urself, you MUST bleach first, wash out, dry and THEN put purple on. If you mix with bleach, the purple will not be able to deposit.

How did you start your whole original purple process... I mean like did you have the salon do it originally or did you blonde it first then do this purple all over? I've dyed my hair purple once so far and it's already going pinky so looking for advice lol
Cloi Towner yes I did bleach my hair first to a light orangish color and now just touch up my roots every 8 weeks before putting the purple on again.
To solve your pinky problem, cool the color down a bit by adding in a bluer purple like the “violet” I use by pravana:)

Andrea Gang you should!!!:) i do this routine (usually v half assed) but some version of this every two-three weeks and it’s not even that faded then, i just like it bright 🦄🦄💕

deedee akk yes, I started this way and you can def just put the purple on top of your natural hair color (I’m assuming brown), but it will just be like a tint of the color when I’m bright light or in the sun. It’s super pretty, just a different look:))

hey! yeah i dyed my hair purple over my brown hair and it gives a cool purple tint, but if you want a bright purple, i would go in and get your hair fully bleached by a professional. i didn't start bleaching my roots myself until after 6 years of going into the salon for it. hope this helps!!!

Pravana Violet shows up on dark hair..Straight from tube to head, been doing it for 5 years. You can buy it from Amazon from $7-$9..
I used different dye than you but my purple looks THE EXACT SAME AS YOURS lol. I used ion in radiant orchid.

Pravana is a salon color, it smells so good and it keeps your hair soft, silky, shiny and healthy. I absolutely love this brand, wash with cool water and color safe shampoo and conditioner, use dry shampoo between washes.

Roxy Coco had extensions at the time!!! took me out last year tho & cut it all off;) my hair was only 4 inches from getting to my extension length but short hair is soooo much better. at least for me & it being soooo much easier to maintain! 🦁

Victoria Garza I use developer to dye my roots but not before or with the purple.. it’s just a deposit only!:)
I know she already commented but semi permanent dyes don’t need developer, if you added it it’d just be extra and unnecessary
gladwrap ur vanity cause any stray hairs that fall out will DYE ur vanity, ur floor, every fkn thing!@
