Which of these cameras won in your opinion?
The Pocket, it's portable and Low Key and of course $
Ronin 4D is the clear winner, but the Pocket 3 is still incredible at its price point.
Cool! Thanks for that thorough examination of the two cameras.
I'm more interested in which Camera that was used to shoot the entire Video.. Anyone knows ?
Honestly the Pocket 3 holds up really, really well.
You guys are hilarious! Great sequence and the skating is amazing!
Thanks for watching!
@BandH Matt and Matt are just too funny!! The setup segment had me going. Even with the more sophisicated Ronin 4D, just the fact you can set the whole thing up in less than 40 seconds, is amazing!!! I feel that Matt was distracted by talking and reacting to the other Matt's barbs and taunting LOL But less than a minute setup for the Ronin 4D is super amazing
Both have a purpose. Both are great for the intended usage. What was the talking head stuff shot on?
Glad you enjoyed the video! The talking head parts were shot on both the Sony Fx3 + Sony a7sIII and the 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II
They both did. As the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you.
The Ronin has a very nice image but I can see rolling shutter on this similar to the inspire 3 at 24 fps... not good
Hmm $13000 camera vs $670 Iol! Next: compare apples to oranges! Actually an interesting video though makes me realize how good the Osmo3 really is!
The truth is that on a television screen the difference is minimal, only on a movie screen you could notice the superiority with the Apple pro res format, I think I would go with the DJI pocket 3
Mate,I just watched on a 2500$ 4k TV and footage from both cameras looks horrible.
But I see footage from some other people here on RUclips(watching on the same TV),and Ronin 4D 8k is crispy af.
Oh man, hands down Matt won. Hahaha
*Hey, ahhh, Matt ! Carmen is a "Figure" Skater right ? So why the hell are you shooting her in spins close up ?! We need to see "The Figure" in "Figure Skating !" YOU don't know how to shoot !*
He wants to show the shalow dof😂
This comparison is for fun i get that... but its kind of mis informing as well. I own both the 4D 8K and the Osmo P3 and in no scenario does the footage even remotely compare even when shooting both in 4K. The only reason they look similar in this video is because of the resolution you used to upload both cameras onto You Tube... which is very misleading to the viewer. Just food for thought for the audience. But hey this was just for fun and you got me to respond so i guess that was the point right ?
Pocket 3 doesn’t have exposure zebras or histogram to help with exposure. The pocket 3 video is horrible compared.
background bokeh played a huge role here, pocket 3 was too sharp on the railings giving an awkward cadence. big HOWEVER i feel the color grading on the pocket 3 was poor, the 4d was given a cinematic and full shape, pocket 3 was amaturely totally overexposed and lazy correction in post.. an ND filter would have made these two look a lot closer than shown here. i mean skating on a shiney white ice rink and a full sky and still didnt filter correctly doesnt say much. i use a pocket 3 with my as73, pocket 3 can take the low light just aswell. you need the nd filters to make this really show its strength as its overexposed all the time right as it is.
"We're shooting movies here"... then footage of the figure skater is in an out of focus producing weird artifacts that are NEVER found in movies...
Both of the footages from ice skating are horrible.
Were you shooting in auto?
ProRes RAW workflow is not for beginners. I would get a Z9 and a gimbal.
