Whats crazy is that out of all the domanant centers. Only 2 (3 if you count cousins ) Managed to get a ring. Gasol and dwight were both past their primes but were solid for what there team needed. Too bad brook Lopez isn't on the list. In terms of performance, Lopez brought a bit more to the team. He was younger and his defense was needed in the finals last year against the suns. And he definitely helped Middleton and holiday close out the hawks in the Conference finals when Giannis was down.
Bottom line although we have great centers in the league now none have won yet and the ones who did aren't the players that they were and weren't the best player on the team they got there rings from.
From 2019-2021 we saw some of our favorite centers get there first rings. And career wise they deserved it. Whether it was gasols grit and grind Grizzlies always in the mix. Dwight Howard dpoy multiple times even taking that magic team to the finals in 09. Brook Lopez was a beast and if not for injuries and if he could have had more help who knows how far he could have gotten in his prime. But one thing was missing and that was a championship. They all got rings at the tailend of their careers but its forgiven seeing what they accomplished over a decade prior.

This little series shows that you dont need a elite center to win championship. The point guard/power forward list had 4 players each, shooting guard/small forward had 5 each meanwhile the center has 1 player winning a championship

Everyone said that Dwight just suddenly disappeared, but if you think about it he just slowly went away. As Dom said from MVP candidate, to top 2 center, to still good center, and now he maybe a bench player but yet is still a good center.

Not saying he deserves to be on this list due to a lack of accolades, but I wanna shout out my man Vucevic. Consistent double double threat for the best part of the decade game in, game out for the magic. He's improved his defense gradually as well and his offensive game has always been great with soft touch and a silky smooth jumper. He may not have had a great series against Toronto in the playoffs, but definitely not the only center Gasol has shut down and he still carried Orlando to the playoffs as the best player on the team.

Dom I like the list but I feel that Joakim Noah was snubbed.
    2x All Star
    All NBA First team
    Defensive Player of the Year
    2x All-Defense 1st
    All-Defense 2nd
I think him and Drummond were consistent for roughly the same period of time and Noah did more in that time.
Tyson Chandler also has an underrated case
    1x All-Star
    NBA Champion
    1x DPOY
    1x All-NBA
    3x All-Defense

I honestly think that Demarcus Cousins minus the injuries and other issues off the court, is a top 15 center of all time. He's a big body listed at 6'10 270lbs. His play speaks for itself. When he was with Sacremento playing for a garbage team, he was ballin out carrying that garbage team on his back. And while he had that short stint with AD in New Orleans, he averaged 25pts, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists. Also Cousins, for his career averages 21, 11, and 3 along with 33% for his career from three point range which is pretty good for a center. Not too many centers in nba history shoot as well from three point range as cousins does and cannot dribble the ball like Cousins could when he was in his prime.

I love to see how diverse skill-wise the Centers have become, and got no problems with them taking threes (but only if they can like KAT), even though I still believe that the 90's era might probably be the best era in that regard. Hakeem Olajuwan is my most favorite center of all time
