DJ That’s false, Because Russell’s Stats blow everyone else’s out of the water & he’s listed at 9. Derrick Rose is the youngest MVP ever, that along with his overall dominance that season has to have him higher than 8th.
Maybe the best since 2010 since for example Kobe had a few good years left, but got 4 titles before the 2010s and it wouldn't make sense to rank him based on that.
Theres a lot you're missing out with the 2018 arguement for LeBron. He was on a completely dysfunctional team, yet still won 50 games. That cant be taken lightly cause the much better Celtics of this year didn't. Not to mention LeBron lead Harden in 99% of the stats. Points, Rebounds, Assist, Steals, Blocks, efficiency, 3pt %, etc etc. James gets a star while LeBron loses his, and the amount LeBron had to hold for that team. It's the same argument you made for Westbrook, but this time LeBron actually is shooting better than the other MVP competition. So how doesn't he win MVP, he even played for full 82 games unlike Harden. The definition of MVP for the NBA changes every single year to fit a specific narrative for the player they want to win.
Agree 100%, plus Lebron was a better defender than Harden. I think a lot of times people don't consider defense equally with offense, yet obviously they're equal in importance.
Yeah the narrative for Harden was helped by the fact that he appeared to have been snubbed twice before. Of course his team was historically good that year so it’s understandable that he got the MVP. But a lot of MVPs do end up coming down to narrative.
SpeedHomeAttack there was absolutely no argument for Lebron that year tbh. He had one of his worst regular seasons and harden did basically everything better than him and won 15 more games. Harden probably should’ve been unanimous that year tbh even tho it was not one of the best mvp seasons this decade

Russell Westbrook gets a triple double: nodody care Luka Doncic gets a triple double: OMG THAT'S AMAZING, NOBODY HAS EVER DONE THAT BEFORE IN NBA HISTORY
2013 Lebron is top two ever. I was a little kid during that era and every other day I’d hear my classmates talking about something he did the night before. It was such an exciting era.
Dude I’m a bulls fan I remember turning on the tv when Derrick Rose was playing out of his mind and I was in shock because I had no idea he was that good. Wish he still played on the bulls :(
I’m putting 2016 Curry at one. LeBron in 2013 was truly unbelievable, but Curry’s season and style changed basketball. He moved the single three point record from 286 to 402. Insane.
Harden has great argument that he should be a 4 time MVP . Maybe if he relaxes a bit more in regular season like the other stars he’ll thrive in the play offs .
Harden's MVP campaigns will be an interesting topic to look back in the future while trying to place him among the greats. He literally had an argument for at least 4 or 5 MVPs.
@@abuhassan8849 I can respect that opinion and can make an easy argument for 2016 Curry. But for me no one pound for pound can match up to 2013 LeBron this decade
@@smoovemoves95 the only reason Melo had a vote was because the voter was from New York, there are no logical arguments made in Melo's favor other than bias. Great list man, and totally agree KD's MVP season is one of the best ever. Crazy that maybe the two most efficient scorers ever got to play on the same team.
@Jordan Bledsoebut lebron had a phenomenal dominant season in 2013 than curry in 2016 I mean ik curry had monster mvp season in 2015-2016 but it is not better LeBron back in 2012-13 season

Dom be on here speaking straight-up facts this is why this is my favorite NBA channel much love and respect
Im no fan of his, but the best is 2013 Lebron. The offense *AND DEFENSE* he played was top-notch! Its a damn shame he didnt always put forth that effort. Pat Riley set those standards and expectations of him
WeShowYou39071319 eh, it seems to me that most people remember how clutch he was for that season at least. It’s mostly his low efficiency and wins that puts him below the others.
Corjulio 21 in this case yes regardless of how silly that may seem. It’s all about context my man, an assist is simply a statistical category & in today’s game it does not directly correlate to someone’s inherent ability to put others in position to score by passing them the ball. Russ cannot pass like Curry, Paul, James, Jokic, they r truly great distributors w/great vision, Russ does not have their ability regardless of how many ‘assists’ he racks up.
Captain Crunch Definitely, these seem like Lebron regular stats, but his defense sets him apart. You had to have watched him in real life to see he deserved MVP. Imo, he should’ve earned unanimous mvp over that one vote for melo
Would argue for 18/19 Giannis at #3 over Durant - dom doesn't even mention he got those insane averages playing the second least minutes of any MVP campaign (Curry no1) - but yeah those are pretty interchangeable too
I’m not even a huge Westbrook fan but his mvp season was magical if you look at his percentages they were actually not far off of James harden also he wasn’t averaging 23ish like now he was averaging 31 I think he should be like 5th or 6th and I think 2012 Lebron is to high
1. Bron 2. KD 3. Curry 4. Kawhi 5. Chris Paul 6. Wade 7. Dwight(take him out of you want but idc) 8. Westbrook 9. Harden 10. Carmelo 11. AD(it hurts because he started in 2012)
Supremeasturbate R6 I’m not giving it to Kobe or Dirk just because of the fact that they weren’t really 2010 legends, if it were the 2000’s they would both be in my top 5
I think Curry's 2016 was better than Bron 2013. Not to take anything away from Bron, but you have to remember Curry sat out so many damn 4th quarters it started to become a joke. They were just torching everyone. And on top of that what he was doing on the court was pure magic and MUST WATCH basketball
@@shaziaansari3150 Idk, lebron put up his 2nd worst season in his career in 15, and though i am a lebron fan, It cant have been lebron. It was either AD, KD, or Harden
Russ mvp season is so underrated. Now we look at it like yea he got triple doubles but man this man played every game and every night he brought it. Teams were double teaming him and shit.
Cakh5050 looool y’all funny asf. Lebron had Wade ain’t no way you double teaming him. Steph had klay and dray. you most def not doing that. Harden had shooters around him you collapse on him he passes to them and he also had cp3. Tell me who else on that thunder team, teams even cared abt??
I think that's cause of the fact he chased the tripple doubles, he could've easely had 6-7 rebounds per game and made a bigger impact on his teams success. There's so many clips where Adams just gets out of the way and lets Russ get the rebound. I personally kinda feel it's overhyped cause of the stats, but he for sure deserved the MVP cause of the way he balled out all season, came through for OKC in a lot of clutch situations too.
I'm not on board with your assessment of D-Rose's season .... be didn't just over-perform on a depleted team, he was a legit game controller and made the Bulls into an insanely well oiled machine.
In hindsight, Harden should've been the 2017 MVP. Russ had a historically great season, but when you take an in-depth look at both of their seasons, Harden really deserved it more
2019 Giannis playmaking is underrated. After that Raptors series he hasn't been the same player, then the Heat series happened and he can't hit a free-throw. That's why I said when Giannis gets better mental support and finds his footing he'll finally take that next step. LeBron needed DWade and Jordan needed Phil Jackson.
yup but giannis' struggles are also due to the fact hat he had to carry becase his shooters played like garbage and could not hit open 3's so it seemed like a 5 on 3 at times, kind of like Lebron in the 2007 Finals or MJ in 86 the year he averaged 40 and got swept
Quintlyn Rogers Joe Johnson Deron Williams Gordon Hayward(he’s a maybe it’s more of a how good he was) Danny Granger Al Jefferson Zach Randolph Joakim Noah That’s all that comes to mind
It's kind of hard to say 2012 LBJ also isn't #1 or #2 imo, in terms of being the most complete versatile player in history. Also MVP, FMVP, gold medal, all nba (defense too)

DRose in my opinion has to be higher for the fact that he led an injury-riddled team to a #1 seed in the league at the same time as the Heat Big 3
as a season his stats were not as good as anyone else except 2015 steph but steph had more wins and was more efficient scoring nothing other than storyline puts him above harden,lebron,curry(2016)kd,giannis
DJ lmao what
DJ Derrick Roses mvp season isn’t close to anyone else’s on that list.
@@davido1632 i'm telling neil that's his mvp isn't higher on the list because of that
DJ That’s false, Because Russell’s Stats blow everyone else’s out of the water & he’s listed at 9. Derrick Rose is the youngest MVP ever, that along with his overall dominance that season has to have him higher than 8th.
You should do a top ten players of the 2010s. Like factor in chips, MVPs, stats, how many years at an elite level of performance etc
Maybe the best since 2010 since for example Kobe had a few good years left, but got 4 titles before the 2010s and it wouldn't make sense to rank him based on that.
If u go by there best season every year 1 kobe 2 curry ...
Exactly.
Ken M one of his worst seasons? That's dude averaged 28, 9 and 9 on 54% shooting. Plus he posted his highest assists average of his career that season

Wish he still played on the bulls :(
Damn, just saw this in 2023 and my man didnt miss
Bro I’m so proud of you I go way back to the days where the 3 kings of New York first started and now you almost got 300k subscribers keep pushing bro
I’m putting 2016 Curry at one. LeBron in 2013 was truly unbelievable, but Curry’s season and style changed basketball. He moved the single three point record from 286 to 402. Insane.
Lebron got saved by ray allen🤦
Harden has great argument that he should be a 4 time MVP . Maybe if he relaxes a bit more in regular season like the other stars he’ll thrive in the play offs .
Harden's MVP campaigns will be an interesting topic to look back in the future while trying to place him among the greats. He literally had an argument for at least 4 or 5 MVPs.
Ozzkan Not 5. Only seasons harden was in contention for mvp was 2015 2017, 2018 and 2019

Thank you dom2k I’m tired of people forgetting kd mvp season
Im no fan of his, but the best is 2013 Lebron. The offense *AND DEFENSE* he played was top-notch! Its a damn shame he didnt always put forth that effort. Pat Riley set those standards and expectations of him
People forget how clutch Westbrook was and how great of a passer he is.
They don't forget, they just don't want to admit it. They're all bitches
Russ is a great passer?
WeShowYou39071319 eh, it seems to me that most people remember how clutch he was for that season at least. It’s mostly his low efficiency and wins that puts him below the others.
@@macewindau3060 you think someone who leads the National Basketball Association in assists isnt a good passer?
Corjulio 21 in this case yes regardless of how silly that may seem. It’s all about context my man, an assist is simply a statistical category & in today’s game it does not directly correlate to someone’s inherent ability to put others in position to score by passing them the ball. Russ cannot pass like Curry, Paul, James, Jokic, they r truly great distributors w/great vision, Russ does not have their ability regardless of how many ‘assists’ he racks up.
Never said this before for an NBA rankings video...no arguments. This list was perfect.

Captain Crunch bruh curry in 2016 was historic.. it’s debatable on who had a better season lmao
Yeah it's interchangeable but I'd put Curry's season over LeBron's just because of how much he changed the game
Would argue for 18/19 Giannis at #3 over Durant - dom doesn't even mention he got those insane averages playing the second least minutes of any MVP campaign (Curry no1) - but yeah those are pretty interchangeable too
Westbrook’s triple double season was also with over 30 points tho come on bro !! That’s insane !!

Russ mvp season is so underrated. Now we look at it like yea he got triple doubles but man this man played every game and every night he brought it. Teams were double teaming him and shit.
Teams were double teaming every single player on this list
Because Westbrook was the only MVP being double teamed right ?
Cakh5050 looool y’all funny asf. Lebron had Wade ain’t no way you double teaming him. Steph had klay and dray. you most def not doing that. Harden had shooters around him you collapse on him he passes to them and he also had cp3. Tell me who else on that thunder team, teams even cared abt??
Russ was unbelievably clutch too, he hit so many game winners
I think that's cause of the fact he chased the tripple doubles, he could've easely had 6-7 rebounds per game and made a bigger impact on his teams success. There's so many clips where Adams just gets out of the way and lets Russ get the rebound. I personally kinda feel it's overhyped cause of the stats, but he for sure deserved the MVP cause of the way he balled out all season, came through for OKC in a lot of clutch situations too.
Can you do one for ranking the finals MVPs as well?
Very fair. Solid list.
hope this channel update more oftenly, just like the NBA video more than 2k video
I'm not on board with your assessment of D-Rose's season .... be didn't just over-perform on a depleted team, he was a legit game controller and made the Bulls into an insanely well oiled machine.
In hindsight, Harden should've been the 2017 MVP. Russ had a historically great season, but when you take an in-depth look at both of their seasons, Harden really deserved it more
Giannis' MVP would've meant more if we didnt have to see him and his team choke in the playoffs before receiving it
