I remember auto locking Yao Ming since he was just so long and effective inside the key but wishing he could shoot the three like Dirk while having the athleticism like someone like Dwight Howard or Kevin Garnett. Looks like big men practice these skills more now and you're seeing it transcend and become necessary in this new era of basketball.

SBG YT cause he needs the G League, he will be a better player if he trains in the NBA and develops a little more! I think it’s gonna be great for him I believe in the kid and hope he ends up really good. He just isn’t ready to play on an nba roster yet, like Hassan whiteside benefitted from the G league I think this guy will to. I wish him the best luck for sure.

Tod Wilkinson yeah he isn’t close to a 7 athleticism dude. He has a 26 inch vertical, that’s not a competitive vertical athleticism, his lateral quickness is terrible, and he can’t run worth a darn right now. I keep telling y’all I love his kid I don’t know why you’re hating😂😂😂

so youre saying porzingis has a lower max reach than dwight but a higher max vertical?? the way max reach is meausured is by a player using their max vertical to touch the highest point possible, so dwights vertical should be significantly higher if hes has a 2.5 inch higher max reach while being quite a bit shorter

I was thinking about how a lot of big guys in the NBA aren't slow, like the Mo bambas 3/4 length court sprint was faster than a lot of elite pg's.
Then thinking that the reason they seem (the elite pg's) so much faster than the bigs is maybe due to how much more quickly they can accelerate (which we all know in basketball all they need is to get a half step ahead of someone to score )
And the fact that the elite point guards are always the ones making other people react to what they do, and nba bigs are always the ones defending on the switches, which is clearly advantageous to the elite pg's acceleration-wise (which is why they run plays like that in the first place I imagine lol) which is why they LOOK so much faster, even though in a timed sprint, guys like porzingis and bamba are equally (almost)as fast
