Of course as a Lakers fan I feel slighted by your 2020 slander lol. That Lakers team came together beautifully and Playoff Rondo made a final well deserved swan song song legendary appearance.
Very fun video! The 2014-15 season missed a couple of things though: Klay's 37 pt quarter, Derrick Rose's iconic game winning-3 against Cleveland, immediately followed by LeBron's game winning corner 3 against the Bulls. My favorite season, 15/16 ofc, also had one other thing missing: how Cleveland blew out Atlanta in game 2 of the 2nd round with the highest number of threes in a playoff game. That shit was wild Man, the Chris Paul/James Harden backcourt is such a missed opportunity though. One of the greatest that could have been had they stuck a little longer. They nearly knocked GSW out.
I feel like there was a lot more to the 21/22 season like the mvp battle between the big men, Marcus smart becoming the first guard DPOTY since GP the Celtics mid season turnaround with that, the suns 64-18 season, and the shifting of generations with the new stars starting to lead the league
30:34 I’d agree with you except the way people hold the 2015 finals for warriors, ignore the injuries on the warriors side for 2016 and 2019 people just hated on the warriors is all.
2018/19 ranks higher for me, its 2nd only to the iconic 2016 season. A lot of amazing playoff series. Two of the greatest playoff shots ever (Dame wave-off and Kawhi Game 7 buzzer-beater). Harden having those insane scoring runs. One of the strongest Eastern Conferences in years with the dominant Bucks, Raptors near-superteam, Sixers near-superteam, and Celtics could have been a superteam if not for chemistry issues. What seemed like a return of the 2016 Warriors after they went 6-0 vs the Rockets and Blazers while KD was down, with them being heavy betting favorites heading into the Finals because people felt like just the 2016 Big 3 made it a fair fight when KD being healthy would've made it a foregone conclusion, even though people rewrite that history. And how it set up so much of the next era of the league: rise of Bucks, Nuggets, Sixers as future contenders, "end" of the Warriors and Spurs, Luka and Trae debut seasons. And of course that offseason began the parity era with so many huge changes like the Kawhi-PG Clippers, Bron-AD Lakers, KD-Kyrie Nets, etc
@14:06 I forgot Bogut was a key piece of the early warriors. I thought he was the secret to Currys shooting with all those screens but then they replaced him and had kinda scrubs at center doing his role
I imagine if bogut stayed healthy he would’ve stayed on the warriors in 2017 with Kd. I’m not sure if they didn’t resign him either because of his injuries or cap space reasons. Bogut was their only legit big man other then mcgee who was decent. Warriors had to play Varajo and Festus Ezili in the finals after Bogut went out in game 5
2014 I think you missed talking about how good Joakim Noah was. DPOY and finishing 4th in mvp. The bulls offense literally was run through him and yet they were still a decent offensive team
to be clear kobe had already aggravated that ankle/foot games before, and reaggravated it twice in that game against the warriors before tearing the achilles so ngl it was expected
the only thing I would add is the legendary dunk contests between AG and LaVine. Greatest dunk contest of all time! I still go back and watch every once in a while
That was the best year. I was happy as a Canadian that we hosted the all star game and Kobe played his last season and all star game of his career before retiring.

My order (in terms of narratives, competitiveness and basketball quality) would probably go: 10. 2014-15 9. 2015-17 8. 2011-12 7. 2021-22 6. 2013-14 5. 2017-18 4. 2020-21 3. 2012-13 2. 2019-20 1. 2015-16 This whole argument of the 2020 ratings are bad so the season gets a D Tier is ridiculous. That year had some extremely memorable storylines, some of the most exciting basketball in ages, some crazy upsets and series. Plus the All Star Weekend was one of the best ever. I hate the Lakers and even I can acknowledge that the narrative of “Bubble ring, doesn’t count” is such utter bullshit. Just because people couldn’t watch in person and people kept arguing over politics more than usual that year it doesn’t make the year itself any worse in terms of actual basketball quality.
Hey just letting you know you put in the 2011-2012 season instead of the 2018-2019 season haha. But also btw I’m a Lakers fan and the 2019-2020 season started off so well and electrifying but I did not care at all for anything in the bubble. Idk there was just no atmosphere and it as wall boring to watch and pretty expected and basic. Glad we could get that championship that year for multiple reasons but I’d probably rank it 7th myself despite it being my team that won lol
C for the 2014? Bro the Spurs played some on the most beautiful team basketball of all time and dismantled the big 3 Heat team. Not to mention defeating Durants MVP season. That year was an A for me.
I'll put 2013, 2015, and 2022 being the best seasons. Bulls vs Cavs and Spurs vs Clippers in 2015 were all-time great series. Heat's win streak and LeBron almost getting a unanimous vote (the one vote that went to Carmelo should've gotten the man fired) in 2013 was wild. Also Warriors vs Spurs in 2013 was crazy as hell, especially when you see how the Warriors lost game 1. They asked Manu Ginobili after the game how they pulled off that comeback. He just looked at the reporter and said "I don't know." The only real negative I have for 2013 is Westbrook getting injured in the 1st Round because we didn't get a Spurs/Thunder or Heat/Thunder rematch. Game 7 of the Finals made up for it. Spurs daring LeBron to shoot 3s and he was sinking them. 2022 gave people a full off season and we were back on schedule. That on it's own can make it great after the previous 2 letdown years. And like 2013 we get a legendary performance by an all time great that leads to a champion for said all time great. Chef's kiss forreal.
I disagree with the ranking of the 2020 season. Although the pandemic obviously sucked, there was still some great basketball that year, even in the bubble, as well as some great storylines. 2020 was a historic, unique, season that created so many crazy storylines unlike we’ve ever seen before. There were several times throughout that year that it really seemed we wouldn’t even see a champion crowned, and the fact the league pushed through and made it happen just made the ending to the season so much more satisfying and meaningful especially after that period of time with no basketball. And it’s not like there wasn’t some great moments in the bubble. The absurd playoff duel between Murray and Mitchell, the Nuggets 2 separate 3-1 comebacks, ADs game winner in the WCF, Lukas game winner vs the clippers, the Heat upsetting the Bucks, the great series between the heat and Celtics, and more. Not to mention it all culminated in the Lakers winning a championship after Kobe’s death. Although that finals series was definitely lackluster, the Lakers winning that ring was the perfect ending to the season. When I look back at this season, I honestly think it’s one of the best and certainly the most memorable ever. There was so much adversity the league and its players had to over come, so many historical moments unlike any other season we’ve ever seen and basketball in the bubble was one of the few things to be excited about during a time that really sucked. I think the whole bubble thing really makes people forget that there was some really great basketball played this year and some great moments. One things for sure, 2020 was certainly a season none of us will ever forget.
Yeah probably the only thing that made it worse than others is Lebron was the one who won it, a player who has something to prove in the west and he won it in the most inconsistent season ever which has actually hurted his GOAT debate and the NBA , imagine if he won it in 2019 2021 or even 2022 he would undoubtedly be on par with Jordan, but oh well he won it in 2020 and now we got a dysfunctional lakers clown show and 2020 being remembered as a bubble ring. Thank lebron for ruining the bubble season lol. It should have been great if he can actually win without clear advantages and 2020 can finally be remembered as something. But thats if he does win without a superteam, injured suspended player son the opposing and without the bubble.
@@kuhieyei3855 how did winning that championship hurt LeBron’s legacy? It’s not like he had unfair advantages, everyone was playing under the same circumstances.
@@harrison6424 he still had an advantage with AD and injuries, the one who destroyed his career aint even playing, even Kevin Durant the best player at the time was not there, so yeah he definitely had an advantage. well it wont matter if he doesnt have something to prove after missing the playoffs in 2019. Getting bounced in the first round the year after then missing the playoffs just solidified 2020 as a bubble ring which hurted his legacy a lot. Its not even getting talked about lol
Nah 2021-22 should have been explained better- the rise of the grizzlies suns meltdown warriors redemption lakers worst superteam attempt of all time jazz finally blowing it up turnaround of the Celtics and more
Warriors vs Cavs 2016 wasn't apples to apples the Cavs had more talent, when the Warriors signed KD they nullified LeBron. He just wasn't able to outplay KD
2016-2017 season sucked but the Warriors didn't steamroll everyone. Prior to the dodgyness of the playoffs they had a losing record against the Spurs and I think the whole Zaza thing is worth a mention and shouldn't be glossed over.
The 2019-2020 season needs some more love. Yeah it was an oddity in the whole history of the NBA but the parts before Covid interfered with everything were great, had a really interesting and hot preseason and some pretty great moments in the bubble. Only reason I see people discrediting the finals is because of the Lebron James hate bandwagon.
18/19 was legendary a super close nba race and when bron went out the best player in the nba was up for grabs for a season gianni’s first year of real dominance nets bench mob d lo 76ers super team the warriors rockets final series boston disappointing the shot by dame the shot by kawhi the blazers nuggets the warriors clippers first round nuggets spurs toronto winning it all despite their team being made of good signings big trades and great daft decisions with all of that leading to the greatest off season of all time
Bro, 9:30 minutes before anything for the Bulls? You could’ve mentioned the downfall after 2012 because of the Rose injury, or when they ended the Heat streak in 2013. Why no love for Chicago?
Man really hates the Warriors. For 2014 he cited the Cavs injury so many times, but didn't mention once the injuries to Warrios in 2016, and straightup said I juries don't matter when it came to the 2019 finals. He also mention the CP3 injury as a big factor, but strolled over the KD injury and Rockets still getting their backs blown the following year. Solid rankings nonetheless, but I would give the 2021/2022 season a B and not a C, nd I would give the 2018/2019 an A.

2019-2020 was one of the best baseball we have ever seen. Just because it didnt have views shouldnt have bring it down idk just my opinion
I liked that season
Baseball season? Yes.
The basketball season? No. It sucked ass
41:15 LMFAOO he swore that Lakers team was going to win like 3 chips in a row💀💀💀
I’m glad I was able to experience the 2016 season 🔥🔥
That video was amazing, first ive ever seen for you, defo gonna check out your channel. Great work
I appreciate you my dude 🙏. More to come for sure 🫡
My guy really just said vector oladipo like the guy from despicable me
😔Crazier that I don’t notice this stuff somehow😔
20:40 “king of the 4th quarter no kenny 😂😂” great vid boss
Thank you 😁
Aye bro great video with a lot of detail. Forgot some of these
Thank you 😁. Love making these type of vids
Loving the content as always keep up the good work bro
Incredible video!
great vid as always!!!!!
Thank you 🙏
2014 I think you missed talking about how good Joakim Noah was. DPOY and finishing 4th in mvp. The bulls offense literally was run through him and yet they were still a decent offensive team
Injuries ruined everything even though Noah was always known for his jump shot but he was underrated on both ends
to be clear kobe had already aggravated that ankle/foot games before, and reaggravated it twice in that game against the warriors before tearing the achilles so ngl it was expected
the only thing I would add is the legendary dunk contests between AG and LaVine. Greatest dunk contest of all time! I still go back and watch every once in a while
15:19
@@der3n thank you I missed it
That was the best year. I was happy as a Canadian that we hosted the all star game and Kobe played his last season and all star game of his career before retiring.
an NFL version of this would be cool
No cap I loved the 2017 season bc this was the season that got me really into basketball
Unfortunate.
He ain’t talk about the wizard vs Celtics series the blazers vs thunders or the blazers vs nuggets W vid tho
2019-2020 season I cared Dame was going off
I loved that season
Bubble mvp which he deserved
Crazy how in 2013 the Celtics went 41-40. What happen to game 82?!?
2016 season:
Warriors start 24-0 😱
Iconic Slam Dunk contest🔥
West nearly drops 200 in ASG💦
Kobe farewell tour + 60 pt final game✌️🐍
Curry first unanimous MVP in NBA HISTORY 🥇
Thunder blow 3-1 lead in West conf finals🤦♂️
73-9 best record in NBA History 🥶
73-9 warriors blow 3-1 lead in NBA Finals😈💀
LeBron brings chip to Cleveland 🏆
With the way Cleveland treated him and b*tched when lebron left, they didn't deserve to win a title
My order (in terms of narratives, competitiveness and basketball quality) would probably go:
10. 2014-15
9. 2015-17
8. 2011-12
7. 2021-22
6. 2013-14
5. 2017-18
4. 2020-21
3. 2012-13
2. 2019-20
1. 2015-16
This whole argument of the 2020 ratings are bad so the season gets a D Tier is ridiculous.
@@protector_of_the_realms Oh shit u right
I liked the 2020 season lakers was the best team y’all should of known the beginning of the year the lakers was the one to win the chip
The Bubble sucked and it was very predictable. The ratings reflected that, too
@@isokevvy1286a lot of ppl knew that. That's why they were the Vegas Betting Odds favorites. 2020 was boring season
Legoooooooo!!!!
2015-2016 was B at most tbh. 2013-2014 was S tier. Spurs vs Miami was the best showcase of what a great team looks like.
🫵🏽R🚬
2014 finals were kinda lame. 2016 playoffs were overrated. 2023 is where its at
i don’t agree that 2017 and 2018 are better seasons than 2015. Clippers vs spurs was one of the best first round series of all time
I can understand. I just like thinking of a playoffs in it’s entirety then just talking about key stuff and comparing said key stuff
am i the only one who converts nba seasons into 2Ks??
C for the 2014? Bro the Spurs played some on the most beautiful team basketball of all time and dismantled the big 3 Heat team. Not to mention defeating Durants MVP season. That year was an A for me.
I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the emergence of the warriors-grizzlies rivalry in the 2nd round of this past playoffs
Game 6 of the 2016 nba finals was much bs
All warriors fans say the same bs. Just take the L and move on lol
Cry
This was a dam good video
In 2022 college basketball was way more exiting and competitive than the nba
Agreed a very underrated season n needs its appreciation.
@@juliansearcie1758 what will we do without you darn
@@harrison6424 he still had an advantage with AD and injuries, the one who destroyed his career aint even playing, even Kevin Durant the best player at the time was not there, so yeah he definitely had an advantage. well it wont matter if he doesnt have something to prove after missing the playoffs in 2019. Getting bounced in the first round the year after then missing the playoffs just solidified 2020 as a bubble ring which hurted his legacy a lot. Its not even getting talked about lol
Nah 2021-22 should have been explained better- the rise of the grizzlies suns meltdown warriors redemption lakers worst superteam attempt of all time jazz finally blowing it up turnaround of the Celtics and more
Honestly the COVID Season was S tier for me but as a Heat fan i might be biased lol
That’s funny, as a Lakers fan it started so well but ended up being utter crap ahaha. Out of these 10 seasons I’d rank it 7th and give it a C or a D
2020 is the clearest F on the list what😭😭😭😭
1)2016
2)2014
3)2019
4)2015
5)2013
6)2022
7)2018
8)2017
9)2021
10)2020
Never forgot how the bulls were robbed in the 2014-15 Playoffs 😂
Mannn I wanna see the damn tier list 😂
I apologize, my editor didn’t add in the final tierlist. I think I’ll make it a Community post tomorrow 😭
Not only did they have a losing record in the regular season, they were getting blown out in game one.
@@АлНиколов yea exactly, the Zaza incident 🙂
Man isn't even trying to hide his bias. XD XD
The most recent NBA season i only remember for Luka vs Suns lol
I like how you didn’t rank them
The way the 2023 season is going it might be up there
you forgot2021-22 is the season JP brought baddie powerup to the NBA
37:50 Steph didn't pass Ray Allen in 3's until the next season but still great video
In the 15-16 season, KD took “if you can’t beat them join them” literally 😂😂
The 2019-2020 season needs some more love. Yeah it was an oddity in the whole history of the NBA but the parts before Covid interfered with everything were great, had a really interesting and hot preseason and some pretty great moments in the bubble. Only reason I see people discrediting the finals is because of the Lebron James hate bandwagon.
Its because lebron and AD teaming up together was dirty. And they didn't have to play any good teams
18/19 was legendary a super close nba race and when bron went out the best player in the nba was up for grabs for a season gianni’s first year of real dominance nets bench mob d lo 76ers super team the warriors rockets final series boston disappointing the shot by dame the shot by kawhi the blazers nuggets the warriors clippers first round nuggets spurs toronto winning it all despite their team being made of good signings big trades and great daft decisions with all of that leading to the greatest off season of all time
the lebron gawk is crazy 😂😂😂
Bro, 9:30 minutes before anything for the Bulls? You could’ve mentioned the downfall after 2012 because of the Rose injury, or when they ended the Heat streak in 2013. Why no love for Chicago?
won’t even lie the NBA doesn’t feel the same after quarantine
2023 playoffs were amazing tho
You sound like YN Jay if he was a commentator
the NBA just doesn't hit the same man
Bro how did the cavs just get like so many no. 1 picks in the last 20 years
NBA is rigged
Green did break the record for 3 pointers in a final, curry would get it afterwards. Gotta watch the dates
2015-2016 season was the best season of the decade and it’s not even close
2013-14: *Danny Granger Saga
Constant pain as a Thunder fan…
20:08 why kevin hart was that small 😂
Man really hates the Warriors. For 2014 he cited the Cavs injury so many times, but didn't mention once the injuries to Warrios in 2016, and straightup said I juries don't matter when it came to the 2019 finals. He also mention the CP3 injury as a big factor, but strolled over the KD injury and Rockets still getting their backs blown the following year.
Solid rankings nonetheless, but I would give the 2021/2022 season a B and not a C, nd I would give the 2018/2019 an A.
Don’t forget the iggy injury in the 2018 wcf. He was crucial and was playing good lockdown defence on harden and cp3. Injuries are part of the game.
I just realized how and why was game 6 and 7 both played in the heat home😂 in 2013
