Even though this model is a little long in the tooth I think it sounds better in terms of tonal clarity and variety than the newer models in the TC line and other bass amp heads as well. Absolutely fantastic demo too!
I’ve got the BH800 which I’ve had around 4 years now I think. I absolutely love it, it’s been a great amp and very reliable. Not really too interested in the tone prints, I’ve used it a little but I don’t have much use for it. Before this I had an Aguilar Tonehammer 350 which I dumped after 3 months, didn’t like it. Over the years have had most of the main brands but can honestly say this head has been my favourite
The BH800 would be an amazing addition to my friends and I's music setup, as we've always wanted to start a band but were too lazy, but we finally got to practicing and we need my bass to have a bass amp, as my friend (and guitarist) has an amp for himself, so now I just need a bass amp and we'll be ready to start actually playing in our garage and get to jamming in style!
I loved it extremely well I highly recommend it for other bass players cause it has so much to offer and to the TC electronic company I send gratitude of thanks to the technician for designing such a outstanding bass amp.
I have a BH250 and love it! It's the only gigging amp I use, light weight and powerful enough for my needs. We are not a loud band and I pump through the mains anyway...
I've only been playing bass for a few years now and have been wanting equipment by TC electronic ever since I played through an amp half a year ago, always sound amazing! If I don't win this definetly would be something to invest in!
Loved the introduction to this amp! I looked around for one, in my area, and ended up going with another lightweight head from another company, but I still look at these!
I love how people tries to over complicate other equipment when showing a more streamlined one. Sure, you have many options in the RH series, if you want to use them.. but if you don't press the "SHIFT" button, you pretty much have the same options (minus the TonePrints, which looks like a good addition) as this one. RH Front face is: Gain, Bass, Lo-Mid, Hi-Mid, Treble, Comp, TubeTone, Volume. So it is pretty much a BH with 2 "fixed" TonePrints. An then if you want to really tune an specific EQ or complex tone, you have far more options, and a much better Tuner (Both Head and pedal controller and easier to see, unlike the basic one used for BH series). So if you don't like tweaking too much, just don't press the damn "shift" button and you have the same options as most amps. That doesn't sound complicated to me. I would love to try the TonePrint flexibility of the BH line, but honestly I think in everything else (including looks, mostly of the cabs) it is a downgrade from the RH series.
DAMN.... the definition of CUTTHROUGH !!! .... I don't know if it just the bass heads themselves, or if it is the combination of both the bass guitars, bass head and cab, but the sounds are so full and amazing : )
Absolutely love it. I was so close to buying one a few steps down from these when I saw your last videos reviewing them! Didn't have enough money though, so here's to hoping on the competition!
It's great how all the new technology is saving my back from lugging heavy gear around. It's nice after playing a gig, to just pack up without killing yourself. Good stuff!
Interesting comment about the responsiveness of the amplifier. Seems as if the D-Class amps have a slower attack due to digital processing/switching. Kinda of a bummer because I'm getting tired of lugging around my +40lb amp. I guess I'll just have to test drive one to really find out. Thanks.
Im not gonna lie, ive been super stoked on their new cabs and I'd love to play this head on them and hear for myself the comparison to their old heads.
I tried a used TC Electronics combo. Great tone at all angles. Handled my active Carvin BB76P fretted bass and Kiesel Osiris five string fretless bass wit ease. Only three tone controls, which is allI need. No grand witchcraft to get your desired tones. The effects channels are useful. I only use chorus. This amp had a flange and grungy tone in the effects controls. More than I need. Only two things I find a letdown. First, it had no speaker extension jack. Nice to have, considering it puts out 250 watts. The other thing: The XLR our has no volume level. You don't want to have to wrestle with the sound person over how much signal he is getting from your amp. Other than that, no problems. I t think this will be my next amp.
This would be perfect for a second amp along side my Rh450! Amazing amps, I've always wanted an Ampeg head but after using these, I doubt I'l be changing any time soon! Haha.
Great review! I liked your comment about how this is best for the working bassist. I've been looking for something that I can play gigs with, but also not spend a small fortune for tons of controls. Here's hoping I can say goodbye to my little fender rumble.
What a great demonstration of an amp for playing .TC Electronics at the forefront for the working musicians amp of choice. I will investigate further and try for a test run my self. Regards Ken bass plonker Johnson
It is probably too late to enter any contest but I have been looking for an amp for over 2 years now. I have looked at GK, Markbass, Ampeg, Hartke, Form factor, and for some reason just now TC. Living in the Philippines means I need an amp that handles 220volt power. All electronic musical equipment should be multi power capable in order to truly be world class, don't you think ? Some amps must be factory wired to use anything other than 110volt, some have a switch, only a few like TC are truly variable. World Class !
This bass head have what u need, Gain control, 4 band equ and volume, all that u need to jam, even this have a led wich show u the peaks, and even better, a tone of volume in a tiny case, great job B TC electronics
I have/love the BH250 . . . These look cool but wish they had put a 3-way switch in the TonePrint section so you could choose to use both sounds instead of just one at a time.
Great amp...been a TC fan for a few years now. Unfortunately sold the BG250 combo. Really like the review and the new heads and cabinet series. Sounds amazing, lightweight and more power than you will ever need :)
oh well, better luck next time for me. I love TC, I've tried the BH 800 @ guitar center when some used gear came in. The next week end I came in to check it out, it was gone.
Nice vid I own the bh800 :-) and the k210, rs112 I'm very pleased with sound, like he mentioned I can change.tones very quickly on gigs to get what I want fast!!
Cool amp. Just what I need I think. I've currently got an Ampeg SVT-CL and fridge, but I'm now also in a quieter funk/soul band and that's too big. This looks like just what I need. Cheers for the video
Great review! Rene is a great bassist, and Gregor is a funny guy. The Tone Prints sound good, and the EQ section sounds pretty musical. Nice job TC Electronics!
I always loved these amps, altough i choose a Hartke HA 350 when I finally saved up enough money to buy my first proper amp. (15 year old me was in love with that flashy graphic EQ, which took me quite some tome to fully get behind) I still love the sound-tweaking options of my Hartke head but it would be great to have a nice compact one to dial in sounds on the fly. I'm sure my bandmates would be happy to see another amp too, since they always have to wait for me to match up the EQ with pictures i've taken at home for every single song. Sometimes only to realize that that setting sound like crap in the enviroment of our practice place :/
Even though this model is a little long in the tooth I think it sounds better in terms of tonal clarity and variety than the newer models in the TC line and other bass amp heads as well. Absolutely fantastic demo too!

This was a great demo. I play a BG250 112 and I absolutely love it. I won't be straying from TC anytime soon.
We're happy to announce Sava Živanović from Bulgaria as the winner of our TC Electronic Give Away! There's a BH800 on your way, buddy :)
this brand is amazingly versatile, both with bass and guitar gear! Love the simplicity of this series of bass heads!!
this is a great little amp. I really like the simplicity and the tone print functionality
I love the simplicity of the interface, and the effects options look like a lot of fun to play with!
Those Tone Print effects sound absolutely cookin'. I didn't know I needed that until now.

I just got a BG250 2x8 and I love it. This BH800 would be a great start to a larger gigging rig.
love the more simpliscit approach of this particular head, the cab also looks and sounds awesome, wish I could try it out for myself
Love it! A gig ready bass amp, practice amp, a quality DI, and countless pedals all in one!
I have a BH250 and love it! It's the only gigging amp I use, light weight and powerful enough for my needs. We are not a loud band and I pump through the mains anyway...

Cheers for the review Gregor, had my eye on these amps for a while.
I like this kind of reviews. I really like the possibility with digital effects and the very basic settings for the tone !
That Sandberg TT4 just sounds sooooo perfect in every video it’s in
Honestly this is one of my favourite channels on RUclips. Great informative and entertaining reviews and content.
Loved the introduction to this amp! I looked around for one, in my area, and ended up going with another lightweight head from another company, but I still look at these!
Awesome amp and video! Can't wait for contest results, best of luck.
I love how people tries to over complicate other equipment when showing a more streamlined one.

"I mean low treble is so much ballsier then high treble or what" Love it
Nice one, i've been playing with a B250 combo in a pub i play jams in and it's always providing all the headroom i need.
DAMN.... the definition of CUTTHROUGH !!! .... I don't know if it just the bass heads themselves, or if it is the combination of both the bass guitars, bass head and cab, but the sounds are so full and amazing : )

Currently looking for a bass amp for small gigs and practice and this one just looks perfect for that (and more). Would love to own one of these.

Thanks.
TC makes very innovative products, love the 2 tone print feature.
Descent and Very Practical Amp / Cab! Can't wait to get my 1st ever Bass Rig
Im not gonna lie, ive been super stoked on their new cabs and I'd love to play this head on them and hear for myself the comparison to their old heads.
Both the amplifiers and René the player, who demonstrates them are excellent.
I tried a used TC Electronics combo.

I t think this will be my next amp.
love the sound with the sandberg. I use a jazz bass too so I hope this amp sound good with my bass
Thats a great little head! Im very happy with my TC 208 combo, so easy to use.
Great review and kind guys at TC! holy shit the bassline @ 4.26
BassTheWorld.com is best way to inspire me and my friends always learn great stuff from your channel Kudos!! You Guys are Awesome.
Sounds great. I love the features and power of the little powerhouse.
Pretty awesome little device. Lot of power in one amp!
Such a great amp. Good luck to everyone hoping to win!
Currently play through a MarkBass amp, looking forward to checking out the TC BH800!
This would be perfect for a second amp along side my Rh450! Amazing amps, I've always wanted an Ampeg head but after using these, I doubt I'l be changing any time soon! Haha.
Had a few TC heads in the past, great amps! Would like a BH800!
Very interesting take on a new product--by simplifying its features
This is a great sounding amp, can't deny that
TC's products are just phenomenal.
Fantastic video as always! I love all of TC Electronics gear so far and their ease of use.
Always loved the TC gear and always wanted one of their amps!
Great looking and sounding amp! Awesome demo playing by Rene as always too.
Great review! I liked your comment about how this is best for the working bassist. I've been looking for something that I can play gigs with, but also not spend a small fortune for tons of controls. Here's hoping I can say goodbye to my little fender rumble.
TC, prooving that size doesn't matter at all! I love TC! We have just few things here in Brasil!
Wow ! Really plug and play - clean modern cound. I like it !
Love the BH800, TC's toneprint is so cool!
Oh my god, that sounds absolutely fantastic!
Great review & a terrific little amp. I really like the footswitch and the TonePrint effects
What a great demonstration of an amp for playing .TC Electronics at the forefront for the working musicians amp of choice. I will investigate further and try for a test run my self.
Regards Ken bass plonker Johnson
Nice demo. Very comprehensive. Good playing and tones.
I really want to try the tone print that looks cool. And as always you guys did a great job on reviewing your honest
Would definitely love to get that! I've been needing to get a lightweight amp for ease of use.

Looks and sounds great. Would be interested in testing in person and comparing to the Aguilar class D amp of the similar size.
Seems like a good choice for a secondary amp to experiment with new sounds and effects.
just the thing I could use as a rehearsal room amp. quite versatile... nice
Can't wait to win! Going to be grooving.
It sounds like a great little amp with a LOT of power.
love the BG250 combo i have, play out with it every weekend!
Would be really cool amp with simple tone adjustments! And that Toneprint thingy sounds pretty cool!
So easy to use, compact, and great sounding....what else do you need.
I have/love the BH250 . . . These look cool but wish they had put a 3-way switch in the TonePrint section so you could choose to use both sounds instead of just one at a time.
Sounds very good and with a simple control panel nice tool
Nice development on a well-known basis. You keep the type of sound you would associate with the brand.
Great amp...been a TC fan for a few years now. Unfortunately sold the BG250 combo. Really like the review and the new heads and cabinet series. Sounds amazing, lightweight and more power than you will ever need :)
Nice little Transistor amp. Would be the first of this kind for me.
i have an RH, and i dont have problems with the EQ, i love Tc.
love all of your videos BassTheWorld
Amazing sound!! Tc electronic never disappoints.
I'd love to have that amp, and as a bass novice this vid's great motivation to keep working on my chops; cheers!
So after 7 years is the tone control still "special"? Love to hear if this is still an excellent choice.
As long as the winner isn't picked like the last giveaway, I'll happily participate! I didn't think digital amps could sound "not digital"
Nice demo of the tone prints. It's pretty amazing what they have done with them in general =D
oh well, better luck next time for me. I love TC, I've tried the BH 800 @ guitar center when some used gear came in. The next week end I came in to check it out, it was gone.
Thanks a lot for the review. As always, efficient clear and pertinent.
DAMN! I want one!!!! Got the BH500 and love it....
What size venues do you play and is it loud enough whereby your master control is not maxed out.
nice review, good to get an idea of the sound with different basses and pickup configurations :) would be a great amp when travelling around!
Nice vid I own the bh800 :-) and the k210, rs112 I'm very pleased with sound, like he mentioned I can change.tones very quickly on gigs to get what I want fast!!
Hey guys, nice review! Looks like an awesome amp, can't wait to try one for myself!
Cool amp. Just what I need I think. I've currently got an Ampeg SVT-CL and fridge, but I'm now also in a quieter funk/soul band and that's too big. This looks like just what I need. Cheers for the video
had my eye on these heads for some time now. Thanks alot for the review!!!! 😃
Cool review and nice amp. Two toneprints at the same time is good feature! Lots of power!
These amps sound great! This would be a great upgrade from my small combo setup, I'd love to win it!
Trying to get to the next level with my 2 bands, I'de really love to get that gear !
Good work with those demos! Definitely getting a good idea of what the amp is capable of :) Keep making great vids!
Very nice video! The Tone Print tecnology is something I really want to try, cause its really crazy e somekind of futuriestic.
Great review! Rene is a great bassist, and Gregor is a funny guy. The Tone Prints sound good, and the EQ section sounds pretty musical. Nice job TC Electronics!
Great video, was thinking about getting the 250 in the future.
I always loved these amps, altough i choose a Hartke HA 350 when I finally saved up enough money to buy my first proper amp.
(15 year old me was in love with that flashy graphic EQ, which took me quite some tome to fully get behind)

It's pointless being so literal in songs. It wastes time and stops you from finding your own sound.
Thanks for the complete review.
Nice small and easy to use! The tone print is neat! Good work!
