Im coming back to your channel so i can learn tone presets and different bass guitars YOURE REAL GOOD WITH VIDEO REVIEWS AND ADVERTISING LIVE INSTRUMENT TECH GROOVE ON BROTHER
I love this amp, I use it for my guitar with the tone print effects, and I get the best sound that I've been looking for. I've tried different amps, but this one gives me a very crispy and clean sound for rythtm guitar.
Yo Big Al I just copped the BH250 combo yesterday I caught a used one on sale at Guitar Center, traded in my Little practice Ampeg 8 inch amp and O wow does this amp put out Bro,,, I'm really digging the tone print app, it really works and the Cab is got a tweeter which is way cool,, I'm like a kid in a candy store,,, Thanks for the video,,now I can get a clean sound and won't lose my signal when recording. This rig Booms out my living room.
Nice review. You mention at the beginning that you also play the Rumble 500... how would you compare the two amps? I've been looking at both but can't decide. I play 70's rock, country, and ragtime music and prefer a clean sound.
Out of the two amps... if you dont want pedals and prefer clean power go the rumble route... if you want to use effects and experiment go tc electronic... i use the rumble more myself tho
Great review. Have you ever used the headphones without being it plugged in to a cab? Thinking of using it as a recording tool without having to move a cab around my apartment
Thanks for Review and Controls explanation!! See you're a Broncos fan (Wink). Question: Just bought one of these but only have 1/4" Speaker input. Can this be tested using only Headphone output? Like Tube amps do i have to amp plugged into a speaker cab so as not to ruin amp when on? Thanks!!
@@BullyThaKidd Thanks. Ended up trying it out late last night after i wrote you and only using guitar since my P-bass and SG bass are both in modding pieces. Amp sounded great through headphones even with guitar.
Great review. And this is a killer amp. I have the head out of a combo... with 2 toneprint slots. perfect practice amp and plenty of oomph for a small room.
Like everyone else, I've been enjoying your vids... curious about what happened with the combo? I got one with the 1x12 earlier this year when I did my first few tiki bar gigs. Compact, light and plenty power for my purposes! The tone prints are great too but kind of a gateway drug into the world of effects, now I'm setting up a full pedal board since there is a limitation in only being able to use one at a time :)
if i remember right, I had a loose connection in the power supply area, it suddenly would cut out or not come on until i jiggled the cable... cant have that on a gig... i didn't know how to fix it so i sent it back and got a gk combo... which...actually shorted out on me... terrible luck with combos... so now i get amp and cab seperate... just in case...
+Bully ThaKidd - Thank you for making your videos! I have been binge watching them since I found you this morning. I dig how you get affected by tone and groove. It's inspiring! I'm a total bass nooby here (reformed guitar player). So here comes the stupid question. Could you use this amp with just headphones hooked up and no speaker cabinet? I know you said that the headphone jack cuts the cabinet out but I wasn't sure if it still needed it for load. I appreciate your time. Thanks again for the inspiration!
questions not dumb at all and thanks for watching... any class d amplifier can operate without a load. So yes you can play just headphones into the amp no cab.
+Bully ThaKidd Thanks for the reply! That is really helpful. I'm trying to get a list going for a bass rig. Your videos have been really informative. Any suggestions you might have I would certainly appreciate it. Maybe a topic for a future video?
i would recommend maybe a fender rumble combo.. the 200 should be good for most gigs you can mic it or use the d.i. for larger ones. i would also look at the tc electronic bg250 the 15 or the the 12 depending on what style of music you are playing... i apologize for the late correspondence i didn't see the question till today.
Hi Bully ThaKidd, very informative video. I always like your playing and that 250 sounds great but is it enough power for that Boombass cabinet on a gig. I like that set up. especially that head.
What up Allen....I've been checking out alot of your videos...bro you have some gear🤣🤣. I'm glad you put this out I'm thinking about getting one but I'm looking for the 550 head but cant find one where did you get that from? Keep up the good work bro you have good gear and you sound good. Peace stay prayed up.
Yeah, trying to make that choice too. The Elf properly releases tomorrow, July 12th, to my knowledge- maybe you'll find some good review material for it in the coming week(s).
Thanks. I bought the TC BH250. Its 2x as big as Elf, but that is still much smaller (and lighter) than my current head. Plus it has more features and $50 less. Let me know what you decide.
This thing looks perfect for what I'm looking for in a light weight rig. Built in tuner, 2 effects that can be stored in it and simple controls. I'm sold. I want to run it thru a 2x10 cabinet.
Hey, Thanks for the review. I'm having some issues with my current micro head, and I'm in the market for something around the same size, as you said there's nothing easier than carrying the amp in a bag, cab in one hand, and bass in the other. Quick question, does the amp "remember" or store the tone print that you used last? For example, if I find a overdrive/distortion toneprint and turn the amp off. Will that same toneprint/effect still be on the amp when I turn it back on? I just ask as I would like a little drive out of the amp, so I'd probably just mess around with those toneprints. Thanks!
Jeff Leavitt same cause I've been wanting to step up my bass rig game up. I don't have pedals or a DI for my bass and wanna know what I need to record different tones for my bass parts. if this works as a DI to re-amp/Doubles as a bass amp I could be in luck. although it's got no Gain switch?
The Direct Out on any decent amp will give you a quality signal for recording, but having a pre/post switch is huge. I always go post EQ when recording.
ususally jacks are in parallel so haveing two of them wont change the ohm load... there are exceptions to this... i believe tc electronic cabs have the ability to be daisy chained together to reach 4ohms there by getting the most out of the amp.
oh its my gigging cab... its a boom bass cabinet... it has 10" driver on the front and a 15" driver faced down inside the cab... it has a front port and side vents so the whole stage has bass... yes... also has a 300 watt tweeter with attenuation knob on the back so you can turn it up and down for you style of play... its 1400 watts at 4 ohms...
yeah, it only pushes out about 125-150... considering is an 8 ohm cab but it still sounds good enough to gig with... at some point ill change my tweeter out and my little 4x8 should be a monster.
Allen Brown what you think about the 3x10 4ohm seismic cab and this head?? Cuz i'm is one my choice bro.. thanks and i like your vids.. keep going bro God bless you..
Allen I just bought one of these, waiting for it's arrival, you explained everything so the average Joe can understand, thanks and rock on!!

I bought a TC Electronics BQ500 a month ago on a whim, since it was on sale for $200. The thing is great. I think it's going to be my main bass amp.
I have had one of these for several years now that I use at home. It's a nice little amp, no issues....
I love this amp, I use it for my guitar with the tone print effects, and I get the best sound that I've been looking for. I've tried different amps, but this one gives me a very crispy and clean sound for rythtm guitar.
Great playing, great review. Nice to see some good vibrato control in the grooves!
Thank you man i appreciate it..
Another fine review Frat. Keep up the good work.
appreciate that folk

Sid Bates aye congrats it a nice lil monster
I like Uriah Duffy's tone print "The Female Viking" I'm digging it !!!
Great demo, thanks 👍🏽
I can't believe how small these are...great!
Thanks for the review I've been looking into the TC Electronic BH550 550-watt Compact Bass Head and some of their cabinets.
No problem. I really like it. and the best part it's small so no extra case is needed.just the front sleeve of my gig bag.
Ordered one 'bassed' on this - thanks!!
I just ordered one!

Big thanks. I've been on the fence between these two amps. Then today I found a Rumble 500 for just a little more than the TC... so I got the Rumble.
What's up Frat? I use a BG250 and I love it. Oh yeah, the Signature pick guard is dope!
True I love my PF 500 with the pf115 been thinking about getting a loop pedal I'll grab this one good job
Would you say their 2x10 cab is enough for band practice?
wow!!! packs a mean punch for its size. pretty good eq range too. nice vid bro
thanks my man. I wouldn't have believed it either
What is your opinion between trace elliott "elf" or the T.C. Bh250?
They are both good. Depends on what you want to do with them
Great review. Have you ever used the headphones without being it plugged in to a cab? Thinking of using it as a recording tool without having to move a cab around my apartment
yeah i have it still works the same
Allen Brown thanks a lot

How many setting can the toneprint hold at a time?
@@jesseparrish9198 just two at a time. You switch between them but can only idefi one at a time. I just use a compressor.
@@cassars68 thank you. Do you still have yours?
@@jesseparrish9198 Yes sir! I took mnine out of the combo and made it into a little head. It's one of my favorite amps for practice. Do you have one?
@@cassars68 awesome! No I was looking to get one though. How are the effects on the mobile app?

Well the first gig I'll use it on will be Monday I might see if I can record some of it. but it's 250 watts so we will definitely see.
update... it killed the gig... absolutely love it... i got to change toneprints between sets and people wanted to play with it... i declined lol
+Bully ThaKidd thanks for hitin' Me back. I just wanted to know if the amp is rated at 4 ohms or 8. So is it pushing 250 at 8 or 4?
250@4ohms.
+Bully ThaKidd thanks Bro
Between berhinger 300 watts and this one, which one did you pick if you have to??? Great vidz.. keep going bro!!!
What kind of bass you playing on bro? Active or p bass?
Hi Allen! Cool videos! If you don't mind me asking...bh250 (tc) or ELF (trace elliot)? Thanks man!
I'd say if you want portability with no thrills go elf. If you want effects go tc.
I do use the elf more than my TC tho

Excellent review. Many thanks I'm deciding on the TC BH250 or the new Trace Elliot ELF. Any preference?

Sure thing, won't be buying anything till next month though. I'll try to remember when the time comes.
Jonathan, I'm very pleased with the TC. Its still a very small head. Also, the onboard tuner is cool.
Tooth, Did you ever decide
GO RAIDDDEERRRSSS!!!!!!
How loud can you play it?
I am considering buying it, But will it be good for live use?
Hope you can help!
heavyface it's my gigging amp... and I play to crowds of 200-400 with that set up I'm playing in the demo.
Do these all come from the factory with a chorus effect ap in the tone print?
gutbucket I really don't remember but you can download the app and add what ever effect you want to the amp head thru the strings
This thing looks perfect for what I'm looking for in a light weight rig. Built in tuner, 2 effects that can be stored in it and simple controls. I'm sold. I want to run it thru a 2x10 cabinet.

It comes pre-loaded with the Spectra-Comp Toneprint, which is a multi-band compressor.

Is a bh250 + a 1x12 speaker enough for small gigs? Or do I need more/bigger speakers?
Katherine F. all I would look for in a single speaker us whether or not its 4ohms. if its 8ohms you will only get half of what the amp can produce.
Katherine F. that being said yeah u can rock a smaller gig with a single twelve cool.
I'm purchasing a Peavey Headliner 410 will I need that adapter if i get this amp?
Evan Tucker if the cab doesn't have a speakon input yes
Thanks brotha...
