  • Conditions were tough plain and simple but we managed to find the right areas at the right time. This benefit tournament was a good one for Robbie and I. There was a cold front that rolled in the day before, cold rain and windy conditions had these fish in a funk. The sun came out and positioned the fish right were we wanted them to be. We took second place with 17.98 and first place was 20 something pounds. Congrats to Clay and Jeremy on the win. Ive been fishing against these guys was for a while now and theyve been on them for the past two weeks, winning both weekends. Good job fellas.
    What did it for us this day was jerk baits around cover, docks, trees, and steep banks.

    Great video and some great fishing! Were you using deep water cranking baits?

      Jerk baits, they’ve been biting it pretty good.

    Is it common to find fish holding on docks like that in the spring?

    • @DownToFish
      @DownToFish  Год назад +1

      Yeah I thinks common, especially around areas where they have to travel back and forth from winter pattern to their spawning areas. You can also find them on docks that are deeper or shallower depending on the time of year and fish pattern. For example shallow docks in the summer time is where I would find them.

      @@DownToFish that makes sense. Thanks so much for the info! It’s hard to find fishing information for middle Tennessee sometimes. I really appreciate your videos! And congrats on 2nd place!

      Yes but it was closer to spring, I would try deep, drop shot, demiki, Arig this time of year…
