Kent, I'm VERY grateful for your detailed, well-thought out and 'easy-to-understand' explanation of a process the vast majority are not privy to (it's invisible to us). I've said this before but, I HATE you had to have your colon removed, and yet, if it had not, you could not give a real life account on what goes on in our digestive process. Your situaiton is one in which I'm acutely aware that the price you paid is to the benefit of other human beings, and there was no other way by which you can have this knowledge if not you having gone through what you did, self-analysing yourself, your experiences, your emotions, over the last 7 years. The price had to be paid for us to learn from you. You could not have just gone carnivore and speak from experience. The only thing you'd be able to do is cite sources and such to justify being a carnivore, but you have real, legitmate proof for WHY being carnivore is THE natural human diet for us ALL (not just some of us).
There's a LOT of people who are dealing with similar circumstances, but most, continue eating the way that caused them to lose their colon in the first place, even FEWER are carnivore/animal-based if they're fortunate enough to discover it, and of those who have, NONE are on youtube articulating so well the process of our digestion system from start to finish. Not from the perspective of "scientific studies", doctors, MRI's or what we THINK happens, but what DOES happen, in reality.
There's no one else I can think of who can describe to me how meat, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, oils breakdown, and there is no one else who could know unless they can connect the dots, compare and contrast. This is why you're channel is growing so fast. No one else in the community has this unique perspective. They all go on studies and how they personally feel, but you - you go off of reality. The process by which animal foods quickly dissovle, how foods don't fully digest, etc. We see it in our stools, but we don't see how it works from start to finish, just the finish, and knowing what happens at the start is so cruicial to helping us break the conditioning we've had since childhood.
This perspective single-handedly gave me confidence that I'm NOT crazy for not consuming grains, starches, veggies anymore (still weening myself off fruit). In fact, I've increased my animal food intake since finding you months ago. Even the last bit on how you 'broke' your own rule once and IMMEDIATLY saw, not just felt, the consquences. See, we can FEEL the gas, and deal with it. You actually SEE it, and that's the difference. Most of us ignore what we feel, but you can't ignore what you see unless you choose to be blind. You're telling us what you SEE/DON'T SEE after each meal. It's just so educational, and I'm thankful.
Thank you for loving us humans enough to be so vulnerable and share your story with us so we learn and take heed. You are the unintional example for us all to learn from, and to willingly educate us on the differences is of massive value to everyone, vegans and carnivores alike.

I really like the way you express yourself by the way. You might not believe me, but I thought of you when I was making this video. I remember you dropped a message similar to this one, where you made me realise that having a unique perspective on this way of eating could be very useful to people. You're right, if I didn't lose my colon, I wouldn't be able to help other people in the same way. My life has more meaning now through having suffered, and I have a noble purpose. Studies can be altered and compromised, our feelings can be attributed to anecdotal, but this is reality. I'm pleased to hear it's helpful and I'm also grateful for the support. Many thanks to you!

I agree with everything you've said, but also wanted to add that if you're interested in this topic, you might enjoy Dr. Salisbury's book, The Relation Of Alimentation And Diseases. He was a Victorian doctor who wasn't content with other people's assertions, but decided to see for himself what was getting digested and what wasn't.
He used a microscope to examine literally hundreds of thousands of stool samples, until he could identify by sight the "result" of each food. He also did experiments on himself and volunteers and pigs, none of which would be legal today. The conclusions he reached led him to invent the Salisbury steak, since he saw with his own eyes that only ground beef could be fully digested by people with certain illnesses.
It's a fascinating book, and he was probably the first doctor to actually prescribe a carnivore diet.
It's so sad that this information has been on record for over 100 years, and yet ignorance still reigns.

@@kentcarnivore hey Kent. My apologies for not responding sooner!
I appreciate the compliment! I was a former (professional) writer for a number of years so, that helps haha!
I remember writing it sometime ago. I know it's redundant but, it needed to be said twice because of how impactful your message is.
It's wild to me you think of me and my comments when you get in front of (or behind) the camera, but it feels good knowing that I am, in some small way, a catalyst for you to 'keep on goin'". Also, it makes sense, because when I was a writer, the secret to my success was writing as if I was speaking to ONE person, not the many in reality I was communicating to.
You can't speak to an audience, but if you can speak to ONE - imagined or otherwise - you now know WHO you're talking to on camera.
19k Subs is a LOT, especially in this industry that is very, very niche.
It's funny. Everytime I go back to eating carbs, fruits, grains, nuts, seeds, etc, after having considered the opinion of experts who are convinced that a man who doesn't eat carbs tanks his testosterone or isn't getting ALL the nutrients I need, I try it, and feel like shit the following day.
I feel bloated. Tired. Unmotived. My sex drive takes a nosedive.
I then think myself, "Kent SEE'S and describes how food breaks down in the stomach, why am I being hardheaded?!" Then, I go back to eating just meat. Every single time I say, "Oh, just SOME rice, or SOME bread, etc", I feel it. And it sucks.
No question, your USP (Unique Selling Point) is your authenticity, ability to narrate on camera both the science, facts and your personal feelings as well as your unique experience of witnessing the process of our digestion.
Unless you're an alien, I'm assuming your insides works exactly as my own, and since we can't (nor should be) intentionally cut on people to learn this process, there are times where people like yourself would have suffered and CHOOSE to be vulnerable enough to share your experience with us, because I don't even think I would do it.
So, it takes a special kind of person to be forthcoming about it, be able to teach about it, and experience it. You're a stronger man than you think. Stronger than most.
god bless you and your future endeavors!

hello , yes the undigested plants real but if as he says the meat was indeed completely broken down and digested how come you can still produce stools on a carnivorous diet? there shouldnt be any if we follow what he says. The fact that you can still produce feces even with a carnivorous diet shows that there are still some undigested or unabsorbed products from the digestion of meat.

    • @Cave_Monster

@@totoff92 Your poop is not only made from undigested food. I googled "what is poo made from" and this is the answer - "About 30 percent of the solid matter consists of dead bacteria; about 30 percent consists of indigestible food matter such as cellulose; 10 to 20 percent is cholesterol and other fats; 10 to 20 percent is inorganic substances such as calcium phosphate and iron phosphate; and 2 to 3 percent is protein."
So, as you can see, carnivore poop is not made from meat - it is made from waste products from our bodies natural processes.

      @plasmahealthchannel Год назад +12

@@Endless.embrace Yes, i know the solution and why it happens. If our plasma levels, blood and lymph are low our body suck every available water from the colon making stool hard and dry. Vegetables would inflame intestines and colon which block the absorption of water and keeps it softer, in addition body wants to eliminate the indigestible plants as fast as possible with faster movement. All water within us has always be connected to minerals so thats why salt is so important to maintain proper plasma levels, its another lie just like with the meat to stay away from it or hold it low. So the solution is to take more minerals/electrolytes, at best in form of unrefined sea salt like celtic sea salt. Don't use the classic table salt with additives but every natural salt would work. Put salt like around a half teaspoon in a liter of water and start to drink it regularly and you immediately see changes. Just experiment with it. Theres also a carnivore supplement called LMNT with minerals to dissolve in water, but you didn't need it, salt would be the best.
Eventually through really clean carnivore and enough plasma in the body there could be strong detox symptoms going in process, if something happens you find more information about that in my playlists, but it needs some time to dig deep and to understand the mechanics.

Cows have multiple stomachs that hold fiberous material to lengthen the time the material is in their bodies, gorillas have a specialized colon that does the same thing. We don't have organs that do that. There is soluble fiber and insoluble fiber, most fiber isn't absorbable. We also don't have anywhere near the same amount of fiber eating bacteria compared to either of those animals. Why is this? Our stomach ph ranges from 1 to 1.5 similar to any scavenger animal like buzzards, animals that are scavengers or carnivores use primarily stomach acid for the way they digest things, stomach acid does nothing to fiber, a high stomach ph means less bacteria in the intestines again we have nowhere near the amount of bacteria herbivores have.
Whatever we were, we were likely scavengers and not gorillas. If we are gorillas then we are very distantly related.

To those new to carnivore- Carnivore diet cured so much for me! I am 5’7” and 47 years young. I update this list as time passes so it is always up to date, newest items at bottom of list. I have been zero carb carnivore (zero plants) for 1 year this Sept. 2023. And yes, carnivore is a permanent lifestyle for me!
    * No more perimenopause- completely reversed!
*Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself!
    *No more night sweats
*No more waking every 2 hours at night!
*It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast!
    *No more life long eczema
*No more cold hands (may have been Reynold’s disease, never diagnosed.)
*No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.)
*No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea)
*No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm
*No more purple looking hands in winter (may have been Raynaud’s disease, never diagnosed.)
    *No more brain fog
*No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows
*used to have sore hips when sleeping on my side. No more!
*Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight.
*Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing!
*Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well.
*Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 47 and look like I am in early 30’s.
*Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me.
*No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach!
*Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup!
*no cravings unless they are for meat
*no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago.
*No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods when walking around.
    * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller.
*feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 90 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that.
*Before carnivore- i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights.
    * no more body odor!
    * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much.
*I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that.
    * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things.
*Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But not even a month in on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing!
*no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing!
    * I have had no more issues from ear wax build up. Had it twice after having kids and docs would say it was a hormonal problem. Carnivore cured that too!
*Veins in my arms look healthier. They were almost invisible before.
*Legs no longer hurt on longer road trips or plane rides!
*I used to get a popping sounds in my right shoulder when lifting weights. Was probably a pulled ligament. That is now gone!
*I have been lactose intolerant since I was a kid, and I feel my nails are a bit stronger than before. They do break if I catch them on things but I feel they are getting stronger on carnivore.
*My teeth look more white on carnivore.
*My blood pressure has improved on carnivore. 6 years before carnivore up to starting carnivore my blood pressure was increasing. Now on carnivore it is back to normal like when I was younger. Last reading it was 100/75 which is awesome!
*i used to get eye twitches in my eye lids, but that is gone.
    * at times when trying to fall asleep I would close my eyes and at times felt dizzy like falling feeling or spinning. But haven’t has that since I have been on carnivore for 12 months.
*the skin on the heals of my feet are no longer cracked and dry!
*when laying still in bed to fall asleep at times I would feel dizzy or feel like I was falling through the mattress a bit. I would be laying still and get that suddenly. Felt weird and made it hard to fall asleep. Never diagnosed with vertigo, but it may have been that. I no longer have that since I have been carnivore, which is nice!
*little leak from sneezing or coughing that ladies get from estrogen dominance is gone on carnivore! Hormones balanced so no more estrogen dominance!
*The top inner corner of both my larger toes have felt a little numb for years. Never had it diagnosed. But being 1 year on carnivore I no longer feel that numbness! My nerves have healed in that spot on both toes! Crazy!

I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic!
The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻 Dr. Baker, Dr. Chaffee, and Dr. Baker have excellent videos on how to start carnivore!

I did end up with metabolic disease which damaged my kidneys but I believe that that’s healing quite well. I haven’t felt this good in decades! I worked with many patients with a stoma, had to explain patients about nutrition with the bag, while my teacher was there observing. I now feel guilty about advice I gave, not knowing what I know now. But being still in school one doesn't have much ability to bring own's opinion, we have to talk nutritional guidance. I can never advice a patient to go carnivore... this has made me ralize that I need to find a job as a nurse after finishing school where I don't have to follow dumb guidelines. hi Kent ... that's probably not your name ha ha... where do i start ... firstly i watched this on a different account which is on my fire stick... it doesn't allow comments ...so here i am on my wee laptop making a comment ... something i have never done before...
but you made me cry ... deep deep tears actually ... very emotional ...
I had a colon explosion maybe 10 years ago...
I've been wearing a bag for 3 years..
had a bit of my colon removed and the bag reversed...
but I have continued to struggle and have considered going back to the bag but trying to fight that..
i just remember that nobody ever said anything apart from eat more fiber thats all they ever say..
i have dabbled with both the keto and carnivore systems but i had a white poo incident which was probably just my body adjusting but i freaked out..
i have managed to get it back on track mostly but still have sugar and bread addictions and the fear of not eating fiber is so strong in me its tough..
i cried because you have had your colon removed and there no way back fr you and i felt so bad about that ...
so im going to have another go in novemebr to be stricter...
no dairy the next time... actually i think im just going to do fatty mince ... maybe with bone marrow....
you have inspired me and i wanted to tell you that as i have watched loads of these videos but mostly getting annoyed with there bible belting ways they describe it all...
i wish myself luck and hope you continue to stay well and maybe one day you can have a stem cell colon transplanted ....

I did like wheat biscuits and ate 4 every morning with loads of milk and sugar, and after school. Also for breakfast tippically 6 slices of white bread toast with margarine, sausages baked beans and eggs, sometimes bacon. Every day as a child I went to school with a chronic belly ache which persisted all my life until the age of 64. Then I went zero sugar but high plant based keto diet because I was advise this was healthy. I became chronically constipated, sometimes the only way to get movemment was by way of colonic irrigation, passing what looked like near tennis ball sized balls of string. The worse it got the more fiber I ate on medical advice. No medications were effective. I finally decided to do the opposite to all theedical advice and went Carnivour about a year ago. All problems are now resolved. But my doctor says I will get sick if I do not eat fiber and carbs which can only mean sugar. I have never been fitter and healthier and are now 69.

You are slightly wrong about someting, and that is the financial aspect. Your grocery bill will actually go down. All you buy is meat, eggs, bacon, salt, butter, seafood if you like it. All the rest you usually use to fill up your cart is gone. Minced beef is reasonably cheap and you can learn to cook some really tasty meals with it, also you can make some nice jerky for snaks with minced meat. For fat, apart from butter, you can go to your butcher and ask for fat that they trim of and render it down, you get it for very small money. Just keep your intake up on electrolites, seasalt, himalayan salt, not the cheap iodine salt. I live on a very low budget, and eating carnivore actually makes it possible for me to make ends meet. I had a supply of Chobani whole milk yogurt and some heavy whipping cream that I was mixing with strawberries (cut down but didn't quit until today). However, there was one day where I didn't have any dairy and I lost a little over a pound. My weight hasn't dropped in months until this one day!! So I'm sure I'm going to experience some good things, and will update. Once I learned that yogurt is ultra processed, hard to digest, its proteins change during the pasteurization process and activates a cancer gene, I knew I had to eventually cut it out. I wish there was raw yogurt or milk around me so I can have some every once in a while but unfortunately I don't. Oh also dairy is addictive that's why you'd have trouble giving it up. I'm excited for you trying no dairy, and I really hope it goes well. I'm mid 40s and haven't lost or gained since I started carnivore, LOL. I'm only 10 pounds away from my ideal weight though, so I'm mainly doing this to feel better, but getting back to 108 pounds (I'm only 5'3" and small-boned) is a goal at some point, and I may have to cut dairy to do it.
Also may have to cut dairy to feel my best. :/ I don't have many health issues, but I deal with low energy and brain fog.
Do you have the Kalona SuperNatural brand near you by chance? It's low-pasteurized, and seems to be okay. I just started on their kefir to help with microbiome diversity (though I have no digestive issues). I'm hoping to find some raw dairy in my area (North Texas) so I can make my own. I used to many years ago, and I did feel better. But for various reasons, I went whole food plant-based. :(
Anyway, thank you for the encouragement to cut out dairy. I am thinking about trying the lion diet at some point. But, steaks and ribeyes are too expensive, and I really can't imagine just eating ground meat, so I'm not sure how I'd do it and survive. 😆

Sent this to my daughter, she has had a bag for about a year. Has problem with gas in public, hoping she will take your advice, I'm on the carnivore myself simply for health and weight loss. I can't chew very well because of teeth issues so being able to digest all foods in the gut is a big one for me. Cheers for sharing your valuable info with the world. Good fortune for your future buddy. Rod from Adelaide, Australia

Chronie here with a stoma as well. The sheer volume of my stool output dropped massively on carnivore. My body seems to absorb nearly everything and only some dark mucous is in the bag. The more I stick to beef products the less the output. My only problem I've noticed is that the odor seems to permeate the bag, so I've now resorted to that liquid bag deodorant. Other than that I've dropped 20 pounds in about 2 months with very little gas in my bag. I don't have to empty in the middle of the night anymore. 😎
You make some great content keep up the good work 👍🏽

Nice work! Thats interesting, I've not had issues with odour, etc. I use "coloplast SenSura Mio bags." They're really good compared to all others I've tried. Thats great though, lots of improvements. Thanks for dropping by!

This was THE most informative video ever to tell us just how good a meat diet is for our bodies . I had been keto for over a year with excellent heath results but leaning toward carnivore as okants do seem to cause some inflammation! Appreciate your candor and letting us know exactly what happens to meat vs other foods in the stomach!! Thank you Kent ❤️ new sub here

I have said this before- but I truly feel that colon cancer is NOT silent at all! Our bodies are warning us up to that point in stages when people eat plant based foods, processed or whole (raw or cooked) - doesn’t matter which type you digest- does the same to your colon! These are stages that our colon warns us that we are damaging it before we hit colon cancer:
Stage 1: IBS symptoms- (Cramping, gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, extended bellies!)
Stage 2 if you ignore stage one: Diverticulitis, diverticulosis, crones, celiac, ulcers, polyps, leaky gut, lactose, and so on.
    Stage 3: colon cancer!
We need to be listening to our bodies! Doctors say it’s normal to have IBS- but NO it is not! It’s not normal at all- it is a warning that if we ignore, our guts will get damaged over time! There is no silence with colon cancer- your body has done so much to warn you but you just didn’t listen! Remove plants from your diet and go the human ancestral way of eating- the carnivore lifestyle! It is not a fad- it’s is the human way of eating!

I'm sorry you've gone through this. I've noticed over the years getting bloating, inflammation, acid reflux constipation is always related to wheat, dairy and vegetables for me. I think some vegetables are fine in my system but cabbage gives me bad gas and bloating so I don't eat it much. Also I get acid reflux from brown rice and even worse with any bread or pasta. White basmati rice is best for me. I think people should be paying attention to any energy level changes, headaches, bloating, inflammation, cramps, muscle twitches, acid reflux and stool being the right consistency with no constipation. If you have any of these symptoms your most likely not eating or drinking right for you.

    • @kentcarnivore
      @kentcarnivore  Год назад +1

Right! I think that grains and seed oils are the worst for acid reflux. It's a shame bread and pasta taste so good, lol. It's great you've figured out what causes you problems. Appreciate the visit!

You've really hit the nail on the head. I'd been veggie/vegan/raw vegan for over 40 years, and was fairly evangelical. Never really any health issues all that time, but carbs knocked me out. Bread & spuds were the worst. I'm always open to both sides of any argument, so when carnivore vids started coming up, I gave them a watch. Before long I was binge watching and my jaw dropped. So I've experimented on myself as who knows how many years I have left, and in days my energy's gone hyper, skin's great and elimination has totally changed....firm and less frequent. Yes, we've been lied to, and I'm permanent carnivore from now on.
