Pat has gotta be the best paint rep i’ve seen with BASF. I’ve been spraying RM Onyx for 6 years now and when I actually see one of the reps I feel more
knowledgeable about the line than they seem to be. Definitely wouldn’t turn them loose with the gun.

Sata rp5000 1.2 was the best gun for me with the 1.5 coat spies high tech system ( i know this is glasso). I was an hvlp guy for solvent base for 25 years. Even though the reps told me the rp 1.2 . A jobber rep sold me a x5500 1.3o and it was not recommended for my situation. It was too much . Even my 5000 wsb HVLP gave me problems with blends for 2 years i fought it. Then i finally used the rp 1.2 and it was night and day better. which was strange to me because i could not spray silver with solvent dbc, with an rp at all. Every painter has different experiences though. I would love to try this glasurit water though.

Nice work! . Worst thing about sata is the fan knob , I paint with both hands and manage to knock it every time 😖 . A couple guns that I think would also get along well with that paint line are the sagola 4600 and the walcom 360evo 👍

Great video and it was amazing to see 2 real pros in the booth on this 3 stage, great team work guys👌I have the X5500 RP Digital in the 1.2 and 1.3i and the 1.3CC they are all great setups but I think I still prefer my WS400 Series 2 Digital in the 1.2 and 1.3 HD😎
I've really been enjoying this series on the Glasurit swap and Patrick training you Kandy Man, it's been very enjoyable👏🙏👍John UK

I'm sure Kandy Is going to respond to you but I thought I would to. I'm a combo tech and I'm 54 years old and I still love what I do. As for you, take any training that's offered to you. Listen to people that do good work in the shop that you respect because you're bound to learn stuff. Don't overdo it when you buy a toolbox. You don't need some big badass snap on box. Just get a box to hold your tools but spend the money on quality tools. They don't have to be snap on. The other trucks. Have good stuff too. Watch videos from guys that are good at what they do and there's a few of them on there. Kandy Man,The Gunman,Paint Society. I always enjoy videos from all three of those guys. There's a couple body guys out there that can show you a lot too, but I forget their names right now. Anyway, sorry for making a novel. I just really enjoy knowing that youngsters are getting into this field because it's a damn good field and you can make excellent money as you progress with your skill. Good luck buddy!

Loving it also, the clear goes on so much better 1 coat of base with the wet bed and boom clear off the charts im useing a less clear also with the 100 line to get the outcome that I want. I left a comment about 100 today on your previous videos. I have been following ya. I really love your work im glad I found your channel. I’m really learning a lot. I was owner operator and had to do all work for a lot of clients myself, building custom restros and restro mods 25 years only a few years in collision. That being said I didn’t paint every day like I do now but was ALWAYS my favorite part and always looked forward to the day’s in the booth. Painting has always been where my heart is at . I have learned a lot from you in the production industry its a different ballgame but same apply procedure wise with some differences. I just wanted to say thank you keep on keeping on making these videos I plan on watching every one. I want to learn all the tricks to the production trade and want to learn them from you!! Awsome vids !!

Very informative set of videos! It looks like Patrick changes his grip on the gun when painting horizontal panels, with the index finger along side the gun and the middle finger on the trigger. Is this standard best practice that all painters use? Thank you.
