    You not passing paint training is about as likely as the sun not coming up in the east. You, sir, have skills and clearly have (and are) a great teacher.

    Sealer is direct to raw plastic but NOT direct to bare metal…that being said I use the BASF etch wipes on all my sand throughs before sealer.

    It’s not easy learning how to slow down the application of basecoat like you did, especially after spraying a certain way for so many years. I had to do the same thing when I switched over to Spies Hecker 1 1/2 coat waterborne system. Great work. 👍🏽

    Very interesting to see for an old former car painter. Worked at this for 26 years but then changed industry completely. So much has happened in the industry since I left.
    The best channel for car painting.
    Greetings from Sweden!

    Great job on spraying Glasurit Products. I always liked spraying the product back in the day. One word of advice brother, watching you slide around on your knees prepping cars and painting cars . Get some good knee pads. I have 2 titanium Knees now after over 30 years in the business. Keep up the good work updating us older guys.

    I spray envirobase and sometimes no matter how well I lay it out or get it covered I have to try to get the more course and finer metallics to not mottle but that one visit system seems awesome! 1.5 coats for that silver you did I think Thursday or Friday was nuts!
    Thank you for the effort you put into these videos they help me out a ton!

      I spray envirobase as well and some colours are a struggle for sure. I always do a double control coat on metallic colours and there is still a little mottle on some colours

    • @outdoor_lifestyle_0149
      @outdoor_lifestyle_0149 Месяц назад +1

      @@JMMedia I also do a double control coat. Sucks to fight some colors like that then see a system like this glassurit 100 line that seems much more user friendly.

    • @JMMedia
      @JMMedia Месяц назад +1

      @@outdoor_lifestyle_0149 I hear you man. It does seem like other systems might be easier. You can also try double coats for your coverage coats as in 1 medium wet and then pull back a little and go over it again straight away. Can help get rid of some patchiness just don’t go too heavy with it being a double

    • @outdoor_lifestyle_0149
      @outdoor_lifestyle_0149 Месяц назад

      @@JMMedia Yeah I have found lately with some of the course and fine silvers that like to mottle that I wasn’t putting it on wet enough so now I am putting two nice and wet coats and it is seeming to help the mottling not happen. Before I would do my second coat lighter thinking I was avoiding mottling but it wasn’t because it probably wasn’t covered properly.

    Thanks for sharing your training week with us as it must have been hard enough without having to film as well👏🙏👍John UK

    Question.
    Do you not have LVA650 in the USA??
    You add it into the PPG W.OW for bear plastics. Been using it for years here in New Zealand. Love the videos bra. Also I’ve never wet bed a PPG car in my 24 years of using it. Is it a necessity for ya our just a preference???
    Thanks bro.
