Said it before and saying it again. Fish rules app is like taking your attorney fishing. They figure out what’s legal where your at. Tip, I screen shoot anything fish I think I may catch that day because 60 miles off SW florida there is no cell service. I can always pull up a pic. Great video.
This was great Rob! I'm 79 years old now and was born in Miami FL. When I was a kid (about 13), I used to "drift fish" off the party boats out of Miami marina every Saturday without fail. Back then you could fish all day for $7.00 (including rod, reel and tackle). They would go out to the gulf stream and drift and move all day. We caught mostly "smoker" Kings just like those you caught in your video. Everyone fished off the same side of the boat and the captain knew just how to orient it to keep the lines drifting away. What wonderful memories you resurrected in my mind! Thank you so much!
We throw a lot of kings back but man they are a blast to catch when they get rolling. That sweet sound of spooling a reel or an outrigger snap is just so dang perfect.

I love fish rule. Only thing I questioned was if it would work when you don't have reception. And went 40+ miles out into the gulf. No signal. And it still worked. We were talking about a fish and I said I wonder if it'll work. My buddy didn't think it'll work. But it did. We were both impressed. So thank you for making it easier

Catch something I don't want to take a catch of coming in with it if I can keep it or throwing it back when I can keep it and find out when I'm in cell service. Normally we had the laminated sheets. And the app is still easier. I can also say been times where I didn't know what the fish was so I got on scrolled through until I seen a picture of it

A trick if you're way offshore is to turn your phone on airplane mode. Fish Rules will still work and it will help save your phone's battery.
