- On April 25th We departed Jupiter Florida on a 5,000 mile road trip we've named "The Big Roll" We'll be stopping about every 300 miles showing you all the craziness along the way!!! in this video we go from Southern Alabama to eastern Mississippi with a stop in Arab, Alabama catching massive crappie!

I've fished Lake Guntersville ever since I was a kid well over 50 years ago. I still have relatives that live there. We used to bait the pier with old Christmas trees. When we fished for crappie we would throw back the small ones (under two pounds). Typically we kept the ones between 2 to 3 1/2 pounds, called them "slabs" or "toilet seats" lol. Some of the best eating you'll ever find. I have so many fond memories of that place.

I've only ever hunted small game in UK, rabbits etc. It looks like it would be an absolute blast going out with you. Everyone looks like they have a brilliant time. Bud I'm moved me and my family to South Florida to start a new life and be able to do what Rob and his brother Gabe do. These guys definitely know how to have fun!! Moving here was 1 of the best decisions I've EVER made in my life!! There's ALWAYS something to do or somewhere you can go!!! The saltwater fishing is AMAZING!! 😂😂😂

When I was a kid, I used to considered a "non-denominational" fisher. I didn't care what I caught because I was "Fishing" LOL I remember fishing all day and when it got to that point the sun was getting lower I and my buds grabbed some # 10 J hooks, wandered around and gathered smaller white duck feathers, I always carried some black thread in the Ol 'tackle box and made some quick lures and quick tied them up with a small split shot and fished for crappies and they worked too! now THAT was fun!

Biggest Crappie I ever saw was Huge about 4 Lbs. We tied him to the pier and several 3-5 lb bass came up trying to fight him.
Why would you ever tie a 4 lb crappy to the pier… 🤔 this story makes zero sense.

I missed that somewhere along the travels.. the memories those girls are gonna have to look back on later in life, I remember all our summer trips,even as young as they are, that we went on.. recently just lost both my grandparents and gonna be 50 on Monday and those memories are much needed and appreciated these days. Every state I've been in we always got me a charm for my charm bracelet.. be cool to start something special for them from each state and/or city ya guys roll thru and to take a pic a the state line in front of the sign.. safe travels!!

Crappie is a typical American fish. I don't find names for it in any other languages. I wanted to show to my friends in Hungarian in my FB group. But nothing. I will have to return once more to the lovely Southern US, to taste it.

I love frogtogs next to my outer layer of clothes . I use to wear my camouflage, different suits , over them out hunting, frogtogs seems more noisy on the outside layer. I've been in bad falling weather of all kinds , all I had to worry about was keeping my head dry .
