Without a doubt, it's the best controller for the dji magic 2 Pro, takes away all the hassle of setting up the normal controller and phone with wires etc, the battery is amazing as well, it definitely gives you more confidence when flying too, the bright screen is better than amazing as well, great bit of kit!
I have Air 2S package that included Smart Controller. Maps aren’t available when you don’t have Wi-Fi on the Smart Controller. Sometimes I cant set up a Wi-Fi hotspot because I’m in a area where phone doesn’t work. Is it possible to load maps onto a SD Card and have the controller access them that way. Realized I can’t find my drone on a blank map screen.
Have you had any of the following issues: -Will not initially setup if sd is inserted(setup then insert) -will not update over WiFi (dji assistant and cable required) I have experienced both issues.

At some point yes the internal battery will be degraded. It’s hard to say how long but in most circumstances with built-in batteries the battery will outlast the controller itself, or drone that you were flying.
Why would they make the stick connections different to those on the M2 controller? 🤔 Knowing DJI and the way they operate it’s so that you can’t use the sticks off your old controller if you lose them, you’ll have to pay whatever absurd amount they charge for a replacement pair. This is the way DJI operate. Fleece customers for as much as you can as often as you can.

When you did the binding of the remote to the aircraft did you have to unbind the aircraft from the original remote first? Or just simply go ahead and bind it to the new smart controller?
cameraflyer Good. Because I’ve heard some people say to unbind it from your original Controller first and then bind it to the new smart controller. Seems to me to make sense to just go ahead and bind it to the new controller…It would override the old setting.

One quick question: I just got mine delivered today. It’s charging as I am typing. I pretty much get the set up but I have heard some people say that they are not able to update the drone itself using the DJI go 4 app. Have you had that problem? Or has it been fixed firmware updates?
Update. I connected my controller to my Mavic 2 Pro today and set everything up. The controller must’ve had a newer firmware version in it because it did not ask to update. But when I connected it to the drone it said there was a new firmware version and I went through all the usual motions, the drone started and stopped several times etc. like usual, and the update completed successfully. So apparently those stories I heard about updates not completing over Wi-Fi are either outdated or not true.
i bought it included with my new mavic 2 pro,,,,, am having the same issues as everyone else,,, a chinese popup, always disconnects when trying to update firmware,,, and low and behold no GO4 app update for android,,,,, if all the issues get fixed soon this will be an amazing bit of kit but right now its a very expensive chunk of useless plastic,,
Need a New case, gotta pay 600 usd, android os, not waterproof (my phone is)and i am gonna hate that finger prints on the screen. Oh , and a screen protector ....
I have 1 and for 6 hours i have been trying to get it connected to wifi....it can not find wifi.....this will be the 2nd 1 i will send back....The Products are Garbage....I would not recommend any 1 to buy 1 of these....again THERE GARBAGE...

I wouldn’t. It’s connected to the big controller and mobile editing is horrible.
