Today, we do a deep dive into how much money it will cost to restore my abandoned Lamborghini Aventador that I bought for the price of a Toyota Camry. Spoiler alert: it isn't cheap.
...And I'm broke:
Buys P1
Buys RR
Buys Aventador
Buys Flooded Bugatti
😅😅😅 All love bro...
Edit: A flooded Bugatti is next. Not 'the' flooded Bugatti but a water damaged one nonetheless. So we are all on the same page. I was trying to be funny. 😁
What flooded Bugatti did he buy it was Houston who bought that
Flooded McLaren
@@grahamehart5985 I'd bet that would be the next one after the P1 is complete..... I did see Houston's series on that car, crazy....
Yeah, no idea why he's broke...

Hello . I make full body panels for the Aventador. SV, SVJ, S, all of them. Even a few types of custom kits. Unlike most companies, we guarantee fitment. We offer all of our parts in carbon fiber. I will happily work with you on this project.
Proof?
@@Dee-gu5up can’t post a link on a comment section. If there is anyway to show people, let me know. We also own a few other popular parts websites for Bentley’s and Nissan Skyline. The Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce are new ventures for us as of late, yet we have 10 years in the business of making body panels and bumpers. We are a 3D imaging and parts production company inherently.
Links no, but you can still say what to look up.
@@wobblysauce right? lmao
@@johnsonrepp Yes, you can. I posted a link to the Duke bodykit just fine.
Don’t worry with blood, sweat, tears, and money, and Jack being there randomly it will be done.😊
Take your time my brother. I’m building a special gift for my mom. She’s always wanted a convertible and now since I can finally afford it, I bought her a salvage one which I’m rebuilding. Funny enough she asked if she could drive it when it’s done and I said sure, she doesn’t know I’m building it for her 😂
Record it and release it for your channel
What kinda car is it?
@@Alex-hc4wm LaFerrari Aperta
$6500 for rear bumper + $2500 is not $8000. It’s $9000. So add at least another grand to your total.
That’s girl math

My exact thoughts🙈
There's so much missing it seems hard to even know how much you don't have. Brackets, clips, just piles of parts are gone.
If goonzsquad did it I’m sure tavarish can too
😊@Kusuo_A they NEEDED a parts car. I used to watch them avidly... still a tall order.
I can't believe that they will be able to determine what is missing with any degree of an accuracy
@EskWIRED lol, thus the parts car...
Welp, since used parts are so costly, might as well get Liberty Walk. You never build a car back to stock anyway.
Jack was right. Structure isn’t body.
Looking forward to seeing your latest journey.
Moral of the story is that a Lamborghini is just a ton of Audi and Ford parts, slapped together onto a pretty decent engine. How a plastic bumper comes down to 12k is beyond my understanding
The Aventador is all VAG where did you get ford from?
@@smh28v6Prior to the takeover they used some Ford parts as well as Volvo. Not on this car though, but plenty on the Merci.
@@keyjones1678Mat Armstrongs Lamborghini had ford parts on it
@@readegodbody3053 Exactly, his Murcielago.
All the design work and all of the mold making and storage costs the same whether they make 3 million of them for worldwide distribution or maybe a few hundred for the customers that might need one. They either need to workarehouse them or to pull the molds out and make them as a one-off when they get an order a couple of time a year.
Something tells me Tavarish has already sourced all the parts ! It’s an another complete Lamborghini I bet !
Right, a donor.
@@suecobandito8954 would be the only sensible option. A flooded car would be great in this case!
Or a fire damage one @@TheJaoMing
Yea he’s gonna do the classic “what all do we need & how much do you think it all costs?”
Then he’ll buy a ~complete~ donor car & say “this car has everything we need, it costs $X amount”
Hasn’t Stradman rencently put a full carbon kit on one of his Aventadors…meaning he’ll have all the original panels spare👀
So Freddy, now that you’ve showed us how expensive it is to do OEM body panel replacements on the next video you can show us that there’s an aftermarket option which so happens to be made by the same company that made your McLaren aftermarket body work and that’s how you work a deal out with him to get the body panels for the McLaren for free and the Lamborghini and also help promote his business on the backend. Nice work great marketing!
yeah, the economics behind this build does not really add up otherwise
Considering the amount of problems the P1 shell has given him after a guarantee of a good fit, I am not sure he will be using the same company.
With the fake Diablo in the background, I reckon the Aventador is a donor car for its mechanicals. These dudes are skilled enough to get it done.........eventually
Might just take like 5 years but hey, jack could probably do it in one weekend lmao
That Diablo belongs to somebody else.
17 year tech here and i gotta say it, Jack is right! the subframe is not a body panel.. its a type of frame, indicated by its name lol. body panels are any exterior *removable* panel. any fixed panels like the roof of a camry, for example, are part of the unibody. the unibody includes the front and rear frame horns, floor, all the pillars, roof and rear quarters. body panels are doors, hood, trunk, bumpers, fenders etc.
Tavarish, you really don't need clickbait titles...
He very clearly does
Every youtuber does, the algorithm favors A LOT videos with clickybait titles and/or thumbs
It kills me how those promoting Car Vertical have stated numerous times that it’s possible to get damaged vehicles without their history being affected so it’s absolutely zero guarantee if it says it’s clean that it’s never had accident damage - it may well have and then been bodged together and you’re paying full whack.
It does still show images of the car if it was photographed in a wreck. Still a big IF, but better than no chance for photos.
If it's not reported, there's no way for them to know, hard to hold them guilty for that. I deal with people whining about the same thing with CarFax... it's better than nothing.
Some people don't declare damage at all. Then the car "isn't" crashed or damaged, so you're right you may never know.
My issues is the very people selling it as a solution are the ones in previous videos have clearly shown it is NOT a 100% solution, it guarantees nothing and can give you a false sense of security by how they portray car vertical when they are being paid by them for sponsorship of the video. I’d have no issue if they explained it isn’t 100%, it isn’t a guarantee it’s not been in an accident - BUT THEY NEVER DO WHEN ON THE CAR VERTICAL PAY ROLL. That lowers their trustworthiness IMHO, oh and also when they jump at taking the Better Help bucks too
@GazGaryGazza fair enough. I work in insurance and see this all the time. Car Vertical relies on their phrasing it as "check to see if any information or photos have been REPORTED". They are only confirming if reports were made, not if the vehicle has had any damage, title, theft, etc.
Another project that will be finished after GTA 6 comes out
GTA 7*
Reach put to TJ, Ed and Amelia. Them being ownerss and precious owners of aventadors they may can help you find parts. Mat would be a HUGE help especially! In his Lambo builds, he cross references a lot of parts and found many parts were actually sharwed Audi/VW parts and skipped the Lambo tax
Stradman has lots of spare panels, as well!
I hope you rebuild this car like you did the Murci! Was a great interior!!
Freddie, take the car to a Lambo service and have a list prepared by authorized people. Also instead of converting the car to stock, buy an ultra wide bodykit which is aftermarket and has very good fitment while the car is still a skeleton. One of the best of them is Duke Dynamics. A fully carbon Duke Dynamics bodykit with Aventnodoor looks much better than a stock Aventador. I also think the cost will be much cheaper..
I swear Freddy, your repair shop is a rehabilitation center for beaten and abused rare cars. Your showroom is definitely sanctuary for the recovered. 😂. If anyone should have a Sarah McLachlan PSA commercial, it’s you Bro! 😅❤
Jack is definitely head Nurse 🙄
@@PJtheAudiTech haha jack the nurse
Please keep the videos coming on a Sunday, as you know the UK lost top gear at 8pm and now this fills my motoring addiction
Love it have been watching you for several years now need more cartrek some day
Hello Freddy, firstly thank you for shaking my hand today, great to meet you.
regarding AVENTADOR BODY PANELS, I think I’m right in saying that in the US the cars are more expensive expensive than here in the UK, so are the parts and looking on our British eBay, I think the parts are a lot cheaper.
Obviously, that presents an issue with getting the parts back home, but you might save an absolute bomb buying them here .
was there an event today in the UK?
The Gang: “Let’s put R8 body panels on the Aventador”.
PJtheAudiTech watching at home: “Are we a joke to you?😑…..”
hahaha
Buy a Sue!!!!!!!!! or Agnes
not sure a roller will help this build ;) ;)
hell no 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Sue!
Definitely 😊
My bet, there will be two donor cars purchased, one with front damage and one with rear to make... four complete cars, done in 24 hours after Mat arrives from the UK.
Goonzsquad should have a extra aftermarket bodykit or know where to get it they’ve rebuilt a aventador SV
Went to the doctors yesterday , they said I have 10 years left to live, almost as much time as it’ll take you to finish this video series. Can’t wait
Get A carbon Fiber SVJ kit from Darwin Pro (comes with Bumpers, Fenders, Hood, Wing, Side skirts, Vents and the Engine cover) which (according to my research) costs around 30-40 grand. As for the doors and other parts (mostly used) its gonna cost around 48 grand, so in total its gonna take around a 115 grand to fix it to perfection.
It’s not an SvJ though. That’d be like a Civic Type Rrrrr badging IMO
@@_Haris1904 yes this would be like getting a kit for an MR2
Except, it won't be perfect and no one will want it.
Don’t forget about the curb feelers!
You could try Vantaggio Composites. I believe they just started making body parts for Lambos. Skinny’s world featured them.
Thanks bro I was already waiting for the video the good thing is that you can get all those used parts in good condition 🎉
Tavarish, isn’t it possible to make a deal with the previous owner of the Lambo or the Body Shop that dismantled it for the planned paint job and get all the removed parts from this actual car ???
Hello there! Have a great Weekend!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Weekends ova brother!🙈🙈🤔😬👀😬🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
23:28 Did you literally just call a Miata a terrible car?
SHAME ON YOU!
Miatas are the best handling cars for the money Hands Down, Period.
liberty walk gt evo build maybe?
Putting together your shopping list doesn’t make the best viewing but I wish you good luck with the rebuilding. Can’t wait to see the car come together again and run! Love to all! Adrian
If you have the computer model of that wing, it's not that hard to 3D print it in chunks using Luban which breaks it up automatically into pieces that fit on a given printer size. Then you just glue/plastic weld it all together and you can make molds in fiberglass and even do it in carbon. Chris @bisforbuild is doing this type of thing right now on his channel. You could even get someone to do it and then pretend it's a real one, I have ideas.
CarVertical could have a section to show if a car has previously been repaired on a RUclips channel. Maybe even have pictures of the previous damage! 😂
My favorite RUclipsr. I don’t think I’ve ever missed a video.
Well done
I'd bet ECPS Group in Poland probably has most of the parts.
Why don't you put a glassfiber bodykit on it? Maybe like a fake Countach?
I actually love this idea
Fake Pontiac Fiero
That would be amazing ngl
Very heavy
what about a new Countach body? Everyone says they are the same car anyways.
doesnt @stradman have a room full of aventador parts, have you tried to contact him?
Stradman might not have any parts you're interested in, but Goonzquad might.
39:32 notice they NEVER include the labour costs....If they're into this car for $180K cash, NO labour, that's worth it. Now add in 3x $50/hr x 1000 hrs. That's only 10 wks at 40 hrs per week.
25 weeks, not 10.
@@carlosfsr5377 40 hrs per week x 10 wks x 3 people = 1200 hours.
Why don't you contact @stradman for lambo parts ?
He would never sell those.
The Stradman does have basically have the entire body from his Aventador that he took off before he did the full carbon build.
Hi, ask goonzquad if they still have parts. They also rebuilt a Lamborghini sv
Richard Hammond roasted you on drivetube 😂
Find an old 70s station wagon that you can marry the Lambo with. Be different and make this a complete mind bender.
No
The parts are a lot cheaper in the UK. Maybe worth buying here and shipping over in a container.
The real ugly truth is that you need so many projects to have content.. but at some point you messed up caring about project after project, so we only get very few videos...the anticipation campaign is what you want for the McLaren, just to let us down for money to complete projects you never finish.... its okay "TAVARI", hopefully your views and subs keep progressing, but it really slow down the main account
Goonzquad have a full rear end and shell 👍
Once the rolling chassis is working again... Wouldn't it be cooler staying as an Ariel-Atom-esque skeleton car???
No.
@@rustler08 Even if an exoskeleton car isn't your cuppa... it would make sense as a return-on-investment that once the engine is running well, he could make a profit >gasp!... on a Tavarish build?< without spending hundreds of thousands to re-skin the rolling chassis. 😝
@Mashinatory guy is in the states in Florida actually. He moved from Russia to build stuff like lambo trucks and other stuff. Maks is amazing at making models and molds. He built an Eleanor and a bunch of lambo projects from scratch. Would be amazing to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs collaborate
BUY DUKE DYNAMICS FULL CARBON FIBRE BODY KIT , Stradman put that on his aventador S
there are just full replacement, every single panel, full replacement, with doors
that is full pure carbon , proper, it will match so nicely with the P1
Doors that don't have any strength. If you get hit from the side, you're dead.
@@mathiasnkristensen for the doors they can do what stradman did, and at moulding the doors into those carbon fibre one, I am pretty sure Jack is amazing doing that, carbon will look sick
@@sektrophic1 It's not that hard to skin carbon, but they don't have any doors. That means they'll have to acquire aluminium doors anyway. Then there would be no reason to buy the bodykit.
That top piece you mentioned when talking about the targa top, it's called a "halo" typically in cars with targa tops, the rear "hoop" in which the rear of the targa connects to the body/chassis.
I feel like you’ve been wasting a lot of time and money with all these cars you can’t fix. I haven’t seen you fix a car in like I don’t even know how long I been watching you look at cars there you can just keep doing this financially doesn’t even make sense.
Then you haven't been watching long, yes there are a LOT of unfinished projects but they all get fixed eventually
Freddy: "I didn't think these prices would add up this fast"
*Forgets how much Ferrari, Lambo and McLaren parts really cost*
man just make a video about planning, chilling, talking smack, swingin' some spanners maybe maybe not. *I wrote this before I watched this lol, wait, you did, and we loved it.
Preloading the paddle hands kills me lol. Still not as bad as when guys preload their entire body with a manual shifter, changing gears like they’re stirring cement 😂
There's a company in California that sells used supermarket parts, look there it's way cheaper and they might sponsor you
No matter what Rex and Jack say, you NEED that rear frame Freddy otherwise it would be difficult to put on the rest of the body panels for the rear
Fun fact. To remove sharpie from dry erase board, use dry erase marker.
It will be nice to see something completely finished for a change !!!!!
Have you considered putting the car up for sale and offer the best price gets it wrapped to their own spec. I think that you would sell it based on your reputation for restoring cars to better than stock. I think it would work as a concept. This would only work on high end vehicles. Loving the content. Stay safe J.
Rex's face when he heard free lunch 😂
Don't forget you still need wheels, as you have to return the ones currently on there... just to add to the cost.
35:59 now you know why there are no body panels on it....they were worth 2x as much as the car.
this is why Vtuned got into breaking cars and selling the parts: more $$ in them.
Sometimes an obvious parts car is literally just that. Potential engine damage, non-existent body, frame damage, no paint, no wheels... This isn't a build, this is pure agony. Break it down so others can save their projects, (document the tare-down and parting out process because that would make for an interesting vid) and focus on the R8 and P1 builds. Those builds are feasible, this on the other hand is a brain aneurysm in the making.
The after market svj kit is like 30/40k as per goonzsquad video
But please go for the SVR Duke dynamic bodykit please if it fits your budget or if you have a vision of your own follow that and amaze us
‘That’s not bad’ done me 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If Freddie wins, it's not a free lunch, it's a $145,000 lunch.
Buy a flood damaged car and get all the structural and body parts from that. On thing to consider is you are still gonna need all the modules and those will have to be coded to the car most likely by the dealer
You guys are missing 10's of thousands of dollars in brackets, hardware, clips, fasteners, door hinges, window tracks and run channels, front and rear bumper harnesses, park sensors, etc...
You didnt add the door mirrors
1st the Gallardo, then the Murcielago, now the Aventador! Soo awesome. Love it.
Buy the parts of stradman he literally has a whole aventador in parts
Definitely a structural part. A bumper reinforcement is a bolt on part, but still considered structural. Great video as always! Good luck with this nightmare of a project 🤣
Jacks face when it starts 😂
One of these days, I would love to watch one of these "parts cars" get parted out and show what they got off ebay. I get it... We want to see the car live again... Just want to watch that episode. 🤷♂️
This guy says he's broke in every video now, yet he still spends thousands of dollars... It's turning into clickbait
All those parts and the shipping costs, you should do a mini tour of europe and put then in a container direct to palm tree land
Definitely look into any parts that the Aventador shares with Audis especially for the interior. You can save a lot of money this way.
It’s about 100,000 dollars. I saved you 40 minutes of the most inane and droning conversation.
You forgot the tail lights
Mat Armstrong will be an important source of information for this project.
Freddie, Jack, Rex and Tommie..power shifting is like doing an air guitar in your exotic car.
you can use parts from Stradman if he is willing to sell it, not the entire parts but surely you able to use the hood, front and rear wings, it is the same parts for LP700 and S.
Check with the GoonSquad and see if they have any parts left over from their build. They had a SV that they converted to a SVJ and they are going back to stock SV. They might have some extra parts available.
At those prices I'd look for aftermarket fiberglass or even better Carbon fiber. See if you can get someone to 3D print a mold or the pieces themselves.
Gotta watch Justin Nunley before work every day. 😂
Like I said in the previous videos comments, He could always buy a Kit car body and just use it on his car ! I mean it IS a complete body so all he would have to do with it is BOLT it on ! Honestly it would be the easiest AND cheapest route !
I was watching another channel fast by mat, and he did a video about 3d printing his own parts, I thought it might be worth a look and might save you a ton of money
Be glad it's not a Bugatti Chiron you're going to restore, because a used headlight alone with the entire insert costs $150,000.
Remember if you get any parts from Mansory you need about 20k worth of tiger seal to fit them 👍
At those prices you could fly it to Japan and have Liberty Walk build it for you, could be cheaper and you get an awesome car out of it :)
Hey 2V... I think you missed one critical figure in your ESTIMATE ... what happens to the team ? working their blood, sweat, and fervor must add at least 50% yeah, or are you all moving around the project for FREE ? Love the show, especially when I play it with 125% speed replay 🎉😂😅😊
put clear polycarbonate panels on it,possibly add a translucent coloured clear over for colour and weather/uv protection
Yo freddy! Love this thing congrats!❤ butfinish the p1 TOO PLEASE
I think the hood was forgotten about
