Its kinda funny that most of the good community of Genshin are those who just...shut up, play the game and talk about the things they like and giggle because they are having fun when usually when something fills you with passion, you want to share it with the world. Being a Genshin player now is more of a vow of silence rather than a passionate player.
I 100% agree, and the "Good side of the community" is small or at least when I stopped playing it. I quit because of how toxic a relatively large portion of the fandom is and make GI a dick measing contest plus the game got boring for a while.
@@kylegoodyear2951 Oh beleave me, most genshin players are nice in co op, since the game is casuals it mostly brings people that work, or have a big sceduale, and or not for people who have lots of free time, so most of the game community is actualy nice, but since you cant actualy see them besides online, with is maybe a small bit of the community, ince there are more then 64genshin players playing monthly and more, so to say most is toxic is to big if a metric to say so determinedly like you.

I have never cared what's going on in genshin community. Enjoyed the game for myself since launch. Doesn't matter or affect how I play or enjoy the game based on what others say. Ofc i enjoy watching these vids. I love exploring the new content each time and do all quests. I don't need meta builds. I just genuinely enjoy genshin in my own way as should everyone else regardless if your a youtuber streamer or an unknown player like me xD
The fact that the community just forgot about the disgusting things that that man did but still hold out-of-context tectone quotes against him to this day is insane

The only thing that could explain it really is that Tectone has had nothing to apologize for and nothing to delete his channel over. The other guy removed his stuff; burning the tracks. It's a bit easier to forget somebody if their old stuff is gone and they're no longer posting under their old name. Tectone is still active and therefore in the crosshairs

Loli is pretty much just anime characters, sometimes real people are called lolis but its rare and not exclusive to kids, I've heard it most used for simply short women who are into cute aesthetics, but again thats still rare aswell as very contextual and i don't think ive ever heard someone describe a real child that way just casually.

i was a casual watcher of tectone during genshin release and I can clearly say that tectone was everyone's target. Everyone would go against him regardless if he was right or it was an opinion. He called out many creators for being weird, creepy, or criminal level activities and everyone would go against him and defend the person he spoke of just to find out he was right and they defended an avenger level threat. genshin community is an echo chamber of many degenerates and snowflakes.

I’m not very present on social media. I mostly keep to myself. But the first time I went online to look for build suggestions, (after 2 years of playing), and people kept telling me I was using bad characters, or if I didn’t agree that a certain character was gay I should stop playing… it was the weirdest experience… I will never interact with western genshin players on my channel.

I reacently started palying Genshin again and ran into some player who wanted some resources to level their Furina. had some nice conversations with them. I think the problem is the amount of players that take the game way too seriously and because of the "Problem players", the rest of the gaming comunity clasifies all genshin players as mentally Ill
Sadly the reputation of the community is now beyond repair. When in fact alot of us are just normal gamers enjoying an anime open world gacha game. An experience I cherish everytime is when these same 3 players would just join me occasionally and we would have our own adventures because we're all equally bored. Playing with those guys while I was playing Jeht's quest is some of the most fun I've had in years. Solving puzzles with 3 other people in large underground cave systems under pyramids is honestly cool.

Look, I don't care what people do with these fictional characters in the game, but they make it like their whole identity and just keep spouting about all of it irl which is when we have a problem. ESPECIALLY if they start extending that shit to real people. Whatever stuff you wanna do in the privacy of your own home with not real characters is perfectly fine even if a lot of us would think it's weird. As one of those weirdos, I completely agree. I would honestly not even want to live if it escalated to actions towards real people. I also think that the closer it gets to looking real, the more fucked up it is, and so there's a limit even for someone like me.

I knew the community was always terrible to a certain extent even when joining the game. But as someone who just likes story and character backgrounds, i dedicated myself to two parts of the community, The Lore/ Theories on the story side of the community , and the guide community so i knew how to build characters. If i like a game, i like the game. And ill try to get rid of all the negativity and idiots that make it seem like im committing a crime by playing the game.

Oh most of the lore and theory side of the community is great! Most of the ones I've met I can have a conversation with and them not get mad about me having different opinions than them.
Just a little correction:
In japanese, loli doesn't mean child, and lolicon doesn't mean pedo. Loli is a concept that represents a character that have child-like characteristics and a lolicon (loli complex) is used to denominate someone who likes seeing this type of character in their media just as entertainment, nothing sexual. In other countries though, lolicon is weirdly a synonym for pedo. For example: Aoi Yuuki (popular JP VA) openly says that she is a shotacon (a person who likes characters with similarities of a little boy in their media) and she is just an average woman, not a pedo or anything.
Loli is a shortening of Lolita (the book by Vladimir Nobokov) where an older man stalks and grooms an underage girl, and the "con" is short for "complex". The two together reference Russell Trainer's The Lolita Complex which is about adult men's obsession with underage girls, clearly referencing Nobokov's novel. Sooo yeah, it really is being into minors, sorry. If she says she's a shotacon, she either doesn't fully grasp what she's saying, or she's saying something weird. Women can be perverts lol. Being into underage people in Japan is way less stigmatized than it is in the West. CSA wasn't even illegal there until something like 2014. Loli on its own can just be a reference to a little girl or little girl looking character, same as shota for boys. Adding in the "con" is where you run.

Genshin as a game I actually like but this community is honestly the absolute worst. Social media for the most part is a complete cesspool of toxicity and there are some of the worst degenerates I've ever come across. I've also never seen so many people being so hostile towards each others and towards artists as well.
It's honestly best to just enjoy the game and not engage with this community at all!

I just can't get behind this issue. Tectone says people complaining about Honkai chars being lesbians are weird, since those chars aren't even real and have no feelings or real bodies to hurt or offended or whatever. Yet how is it any different for those people that simp for the types of Nahida and stuff? Aren't those characters also just fictional game characters that can't be hurt or be abused?
This is all a discussion within the game universe, yes? I am not talking about real life here. Tectone likes hot chicks that are apparently lesbian? Or whatever? Yet, I doubt he would go up to hot lesbian looking women irl and just sexually harrass them. Since there is something like common sense and decency. So why is it different for those that simp for the childlike characters? Is it just assumed they would do that irl and not just keep to the characters inside a video game?

In Honkai's case it's different because they have characters who are canonically lesbian. It's more just the sexualization and fetishization of lesbians that makes people annoyed. Honkai, and a lot of gacha games in general have a lot of material that's targeted towards men and it's apparent. Some people just don't wanna be continuously reminded of that within the community when they're attached to the characters, at least from my perspective. But I don't really experience anyone getting too upset about it unless it's towards the people who ship lesbians with men, considering Honkai isn't very subtle about it like Genshin is and we have some bad actors within the community. If Tectone hopped back in the game he might get some hate but he'd likely get more support than anything.
When it comes to the child characters, that's a no-go for the majority I'd hope. Those are the type of people you want to filter out from your communities for reputation reasons. It's creepy and disgusting to most and no one wants to hear about how you want to do sexual things with characters that are children, joke or not. Especially if that's your only joke. It's the very reason why content creators and a lot of people in the community refuse to associate themselves with the game. Just look at how Tectone mentioned Nahida once and he immediately got the "she's 500 years old not a child" comment
I guess that 500y/o guy's comment just shows how different the mindset are. Some people look at a child character and ignore its existence to not be associated with the weird parts. And there are people that couldnt care less. And probably those who find them cute or hot or whatever. I doubt there is a way to make these people understand each other or come to terms. Best thing to do is to ignore each other and not bring up anyone. If there is actual harm or crime being commited and there is real proof for it, that is something to send to the police. Not something you talk about on youtube or twitter.
I am also not sure if it was ever questioned but has anyone ever questioned why Genshin even has these tiny characters in the first place? And how come all are female so far? I don't think we have a single male small size character. Neither Genshin nor Starrail. I don't think Hoyoverse creates those to attracts the weirdos but more for people who just like cute and wholesome child characters. And here is the kicker: There are people that like Nahida and find her cute and main her without having any bad thoughs to real humans or even the drawings. It's just that the community is so massively discriminating that even mentioning you main Nahida or like that one guy uploading his 99% Crit Klee video, get labled disgusting and weird. Without question. That's just tiring imo.
Whenever I take a step back and look at all this drama from afar I don't see anything. No is being harmed, company released some waifu/husbando (large, medium, small sized) and people enjoy them more or less.
Only guys that may need checking are those that have actual proof of real life crimes which have been confirmed by the police. Not twitter or some youtuber or discord screenshots. I like to seperate reality from fiction. Most don't seem to do that.

But not sure if you watched the video in full but the guy with the 99% crit klee video was the one who had allegations against him for quite literally grooming minors. The irony of it was his past, not the video itself. And police don't always take these cases seriously on the internet, let alone interfere unless people are in danger in real life. The mentality that they'll fix all when there are so many cases they don't fix because people are afraid to speak out, aren't heard, or don't know what to do because they're young is exactly why people get away with it. In every community. Just look at Elliot Gindhi, Tighnari's voice actor. There was so much evidence against him to where even his own colleagues shunned him. It wasn't mere allegations. The evidence from what I saw was also archived. Is he in jail? Probably not, no one knows where he is or what he's up to these days. Just that he got fired and disappeared from the internet. Police never stepped in, the community did.
But like I said, no one really cares if you main Klee or Nahida, they're good characters with good stories and abilities in the game. I use Nahida in my main team in fact. It's when you start being weird in public about it where people are allowed to criticize that behavior. Nahida is not a waifu character, neither are Diona or Klee. They're children. Genshin has a reputation for housing a bunch of questionable or downright disgusting people, that's not the fault of the majority who enjoy the game normally. That's the fault of the loud minority within the community who very well should be called out. It's 2023, people are well past the "500 year old child" jokes. This is why people are too ashamed to even talk about the game in public or admit they're a player, it's no longer quirky or cute tbh. Times have changed and I think that's a net positive. Just my two cents.

Honestly genshin is such a well crafted world with its story, quests, music, atmosphere and characters.

There is nothing in the same universe in similarity between being into cartoons vs. being into actual real life children. Cartoons aren't real people in any sense and nothing that happens to cartoons matter. No one is harmed due to what cartoons someone is into. The only thing that matters is when actual real life people are harmed. Not being able to differentiate between cartoons and real people in your moral assessment is just schizo behavior.
As for what loli means in context to fictional cartoon characters, it's merely a petite cute character style that came about from Japanese animation and is used as such in that sphere of which it came from. It isn't limited to characters of specific ages or personalities. E.g. Rebecca from Edgerunners is classified as a loli character who is canonically an adult in her verse. But, that distinction is besides the point. Cartoons are not akin to real life people in the real world. A cartoon can be any age you want and be capable of anything you want while looking like anything you want as it's completely dependent on human imagination. Even concepts like life and death do not bind cartoons in any way. They simply do not exist as actual beings bound by the limitations of reality such as is the case with actual real people. The only ones unhinged in regard to this are those who are incapable of separating cartoons from real people, or worse yet, putting cartoons on a pedestal above real people with their morality which is literally in the realm of mental illness.

It's okay for straight people to fantasize about being with fictional gay cartoon characters or gay people to fantasize about being with fictional straight cartoon characters or to be into loli/shota styled cartoon characters or to be into villains or to enjoy killing fictional enemies or the like. Fiction is not reality and anyone who isn't mentally ill should be able to not only separate the two, but grasp why a person may enjoy something in a fictional setting but nothing vaguely equated to it in real life. I'll never understand the Yunjin's singing controversy. If Venti whipped out his lyre and started belting "Figaro, FIGARO!!!!" people probably wouldn't like that either. Opera is something (GENERALLY) respected more than enjoyed and is (GENERALLY) a required taste to a lot of people.
I wouldn’t say that at all. Opera and cantata music is enjoyed by many people worldwide. Hell, you can even see it in Genshin’s community and the game’s OSTs. While they have a modern twist, people really enjoy the classical part as well; take Signora’s or Azdaha’s OSTs, for example. Video games in general have seamlessly introduced many young generations to classical music in one way or another (e.g. Nier, Soulsborne games,Legend of Zelda, Asura’s Wrath etc.)

She sounded like an old lady screeching and it came out of nowhere it was dead silent after that. Everyone cringed. They kinda fixed it for the quest but she still sound like a screeching old lady like Dori. It turns out it was an older lady who was the opera singer for yunjin.However; Dori was funny yunjin was cringe. Most people don't main her because of it.

The game is so good and well-polished and doesn’t deserve to be associated with degenerates. However, the larger the player base, the more diverse it becomes and bad people are really loud.
I have been following Tectone for a long time, more than two years, and even though I don't have time to watch his live stream, I still think he is a good person.

I left the game during the infuriating coping of the first anniversary event. Was fed up with the grind for lackluster results and Hoyo's cheapness, the community reminding me why I needed to disengage. Applies to nearly anything popular enough, see so many go down the abusive relationship route and/or it is perfection. Anything negative(okay, just not sucking its dick) must be PURGED!
I miss being able to relax, have an opinion and come across thoughtful replies. Tectone was the savoir of Genshin, I was there for Homa and laughed. Then cried. Then laughed. Forgot the rest since I face desked after number eight of not it. A lot.
The shippers are indeed the worst by far, they are so far gone arguing with them just makes you lose brain cells. Star rail has them too with bronya and seele and even they are not lesbian, they refuse to accept that.

@@nameerav.g1395 it’s Eimiko shippers and Yaeyato are the main ones who are sparring. Yaeyato and Eimiko shippers were fine at first, not completely friendly with each other but no threats until an anonymous Yaeyato shipper made a corrective rape fic in early 2022 mistagged as Eimiko on purpose, with an innocent title and tags so the Eimiko shippers would accidentally read Miko getting corrective raped by ayato. Eimiko shippers are 99% lesbians and a lot of Yaeyato shippers are lesbophobic (but not all) so they harass each other, but most of the shippers from both ships just mind their own business and today they rarely interact and just block each other. Some people also don’t like Yaeyato because in Miko’s voice line about ayato she revealed she knew him as a young child so it makes it a proship and people don’t like proships.

Not all Eimiko shippers and Yaeyato shippers hate each other though most just mind their own business. The only thing I remember about Nahida before she got release was that the toxic genshin community didn't approve of an archon being a child bcs of her nickname being the archon of wisdom. But then, Hoyoverse throw it back by making the main antagonist of Sumeru arc as a sage that hated the fact that his favorite archon turn into a child. Which is ironic imo😂
I'm gonna quit genshin soon if everything flops in 4.6, and moving to an Indie game called Katana Zero, which not only has the best story than the whole of Genshin (No voice acting, by the way) but has no bugs, and has the most peaceful fandom I think I've ever been in.
