Study the map and discover the beauty.
I use to watch motorbike races and normally I am able to ride my machine on the walking track. Kills my brakes on the downhill but its absolutely fantastic getting around . There is the exterior path but even in between and interior roads have gem points.
Cant get enough of this valley.

Spa 24h is the absolute best motorsports experience you can get, in my opinion. And pretty cheap while at it.
Only 75 euro for entrance for the entire weekend including paddock. The paddock is an absolute must for me.
The night in and around the paddock is magic for anyone who enjoys motorsports.
All the activity, even better access with less people (and security) around.
You get to appreciate the effort that it takes from a team standpoint as well.
The sparks and speed of the cars shooting up towards Raidillon. The view from the new grandstand at the top there.
Glowing exhausts, brakes, backfires and such are only part of the delights of the night.

Having gone to the GP yesterday I'd definitely say it's worth the experience! Had a blast! My top tips to anyone going next year: Most people who had a chair seemed to be standing on it (annoyingly), making it impossible to see large sections of the track. Take a chair or better still a fold-up stool!
If you don't hava a silver/gold ticket then make use of the free grandstand in the Fan Zone area- you get a great view of Eau Rouge.
Lastly- give yourself enough time to see as many corners as possible. It's a big place and the race will be over before you know it.

@@benwilliams5760 planning to go there next year as well and we're getting the bronze tickets, so which corner did you prefer or should we just walk around the whole track on Friday to find the best spot for us? and at what time did you need to get up on quali and race day to get decent views?

@@lucklion7897 Luckily for you you'll have plenty of time to do your homework. We were only there on Sunday so had to work fast. We spent the morning (guessing from about 8am?) walking most of the lap to work out good spots during support races. Obviously come the afternoon it looks very different and waaaay busier so it's basically a case of 'camping' in one spot that works for you but missing out on other corners or work your way round and see more viewpoints but with the knowledge it's gonna be impossible from some areas. Spa is really great and spacious and I've visites F1 since 2017. However the Formula1-crowd has grown massively making a visit on race-sunday undoable. Friday and saturday are better days. We visited the WEC this year and it was so quiet: we could go anywhere. Perfect!

    • @benwilliams5760
      @benwilliams5760 2 года назад +1

I'd dissagree that it's undoable but it was hard work at times and still worth it if you're an F1 nut. Like you say to go on a non-GP day i'm sure is also a brilliant experience and a lot more relaxed- perfect if you're not mad about F1. It's just such a beautiful place.

I have been there many times and I hope I will go there many times more. I have been to F1 races and other ones, but I prefer the other ones. F1 is to crowded and F1 is better to see on tv. There are a lot of races which are not expensive and were you can sit everywhere you want, even on the main grandstands. These races are not so crowded and you can get the real "Spa Francorchamps feeling". Don't forget, Spa is the greatest track on earth (not only for driving, but also for being there) and once you have seen Eau Rouge / Radillion in real life, you will never forget how impressive it is.

Yah I'd imagine F1 is a nightmare at spa but or don't think F1 is a far comparison to good wood.
The absurdity of the Goodwood food ques is that they were serving hot dogs and still took ages to get through a relitively small number of people.
There was also comparatively way more food stalls and food options than anything else I have been to , yet all deathly slow.
Just weard how inefficiently it was arranged.
The only thing I have experienced that was slower was a Spanish crêpe maker.
The toilets were well done at good wood and Goodwood was quite pleasent but the food ques/ speed at which basic food was delivered was really pore.
