Kills my brakes on the downhill but its absolutely fantastic getting around . There is the exterior path but even in between and interior roads have gem points. Cant get enough of this valley.
Spa 24h is the absolute best motorsports experience you can get, in my opinion. And pretty cheap while at it. Only 75 euro for entrance for the entire weekend including paddock. The paddock is an absolute must for me. The night in and around the paddock is magic for anyone who enjoys motorsports. All the activity, even better access with less people (and security) around. You get to appreciate the effort that it takes from a team standpoint as well. The sparks and speed of the cars shooting up towards Raidillon. The view from the new grandstand at the top there. Glowing exhausts, brakes, backfires and such are only part of the delights of the night.
Enjoyed the great views you put together from Spa GM. It looked like up in the Forest you could see a lot of the track at one time. I will never get to go to a place like that at my Old age, But I would know where to go if I could. I bet you guys had a wonderful time there at Spa, Congrats on getting treated by Fanatec. What a really great and well made video. Someone needs to send this to the FIA to show them why SPA Should forever be on the F1 calendar. No ifs, buts or maybe's. Suprisingly for you James, you made some really interesting and sensible points throughout the whole video.
For ne the telly is the best way to experience motorsport, that is if I myself am not racing on the track. So much comfortable and time saving to just park my behind on the sofa in front of the TV.
Having gone to the GP yesterday I'd definitely say it's worth the experience! Had a blast! My top tips to anyone going next year: Most people who had a chair seemed to be standing on it (annoyingly), making it impossible to see large sections of the track. Take a chair or better still a fold-up stool! If you don't hava a silver/gold ticket then make use of the free grandstand in the Fan Zone area- you get a great view of Eau Rouge. Lastly- give yourself enough time to see as many corners as possible. It's a big place and the race will be over before you know it.
@@alisameyer3804 That's a tricky one as I didn't see any action from a grandstand- only had Bronze tickets. The obvious one is the newly built stand at the top of Eau Rouge but I imagine it's one of the most expensive.

Great video -- thanks for this. Was considering visiting for the Spa 6 hrs Classic in October. Would it be similarly un-crowded and accessible? Any problem getting around for us english-only speakers?
I'd have thought it would be less busy than Saturday for 24 hour race. I speak / understand a bit of French , but I think non french speaker would be fine in Belgium in general.
In case you haven’t been yet I’ve been to Spa Six Hours in October, it is significantly less busy than the 24 hour race, which is afterall the second biggest event on the calender after F1. Parking for Spa Six Hours at Entrance Ster easy, right next to the track. English no problem for simple questions like buying tickets or drinks.
I have been there many times and I hope I will go there many times more. I have been to F1 races and other ones, but I prefer the other ones. F1 is to crowded and F1 is better to see on tv. There are a lot of races which are not expensive and were you can sit everywhere you want, even on the main grandstands. These races are not so crowded and you can get the real "Spa Francorchamps feeling". Don't forget, Spa is the greatest track on earth (not only for driving, but also for being there) and once you have seen Eau Rouge / Radillion in real life, you will never forget how impressive it is.
