      @@magnustan841 Was sitting on the main grandstands (start/finish), across from the Merc pits and the podium. Where i was sitting, i would say more Hamilton fans. But also more of the casual fans. The atmosphere was amazing. I'll never forget being my first F1 race. I'll never forget that amazing start off the line from 2nd place from Hamilton. The crowd went crazy. Then at the end of the race when the caution came out.... I remember seeing on the screen behind me and across saying that "lap cars would not be able to pass". I've been watching F1 since 2005 and I've always remembered lap cars in between 1st and 2nd not passing. They would just hold their position. Then once the decision was made, that lap cars will pass.... everyone around me was like WTF. Everyone was confused. I remember seeing some Verstappen fans and they were shocked. idk if they thought it was good or bad. Once the race was restarted, I knew Lewis wasn't going to hold on, especially with the amount of laps on his tires. I think alot of people were confused and frustrated by the results. Especially the ones who know the rules and has been following the sport for a long time. Not like these new netflix fans. But overall an amazing weekend. Every night there was a concert, so could see some cool artist performing. Looking forward to the Japanese race, hopefully no typhoons lol.

      @Nightey 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@OboeCanAm I don't know if it's the same nowadays but 5 years ago outside of bigger cities you had to have extremely luck to have TV's at b&b's let alone have wifi. If you don't rent a car (which is pretty expensive in Austria) there's almost no way to get to the track from Semriach. Therefore I'd rather recommend Graz, the hotels there are sometimes even cheaper with more amenities and from the main train station you can go to Zeltweg in 1,5 hours for around 25€ through beatiful landscapes. During the race weekend I'm sure there are shuttle busses to the track from Zeltweg.
      But to be fair Semriach is extremely beautiful and you even have the largest limestone cave in all of Austria in walking distance as well as gorgeous hiking trails so not a bad choice at all!
      Also if you don't want to drive all the way from Vienna Airport - if you're coming from North America - take a flight to Amsterdam from where there are direct flights to Graz Airport and in my opinion it's just way more convenient.
      If you have any questions regarding your trip just hit me up, I'm happy to help as a local Styrian :)

    I've been to F1 races on four continents and I have to say that Montreal is my favorite. Prices for lodging and food are relatively reasonable, race tickets are fairly priced but the best thing is transportation. The Metro (subway) system is available within a 30 mile radius of the city and will take you right to the track. 🏎 🏁 🏎 🏁 🏎 🏁

    • @decapitare117
      @decapitare117 10 месяцев назад

      I went to the grand prix last year and went to Cota the year before. Compared to Cota, Montreal while being a pretty good race to watch pales I'm comparison to the facilities that Cota had. It was very tough getting around the circuit and the metro doesn't take you directly to the track, it takes you to the island connected to the track and everyone else has the same idea and it is extremely crowded. Getting in and out of the track was extremely difficult as the two bridges are the only ways out of the tracks and they are fairly narrow. However, my family and I spent the week leading up go the grand prix sight seeing and spending time in the city and I was fantastic. We drove up go Quebec and that was beautiful as well.

      Also, the lines for the drinking stations were extremely long and it was overall just way too crowded trying to see all of the different activities they had at the event. The heavy rain that fell while were there also made things even more difficult.

    Red Bull Ring, most track you can see from one vantage point. And schnitzel..
    Here's some future content ideas Kym that I would like to see , mostly about the team members and duties:
    1. Thinking the garage crew are the same people who assemble the cars at the factory because of their knowledge of all the car build. They always know their way around new updates.
    2. Does each driver have their own mechanics and pit crews or do they share?
    3. How many sets of uniforms do they get a year? Do they launder and transport themselves? Do they get to kept them?
    4. How much do team members, engineers, and transport drivers make?
    5. How many trucks does it take to build the teams motorhomes? Are these pit crew members or building specialists?
    6. How often do they paint the cars and do they strip the old paint off first?
    7. Does the entire crew fly together from one location?
    Thanks for all the entertainment !

    I just don't dare say that Max is still at Senna's level because he doesn't have a partner as strong as him sharing this perfect car that is the RB.
    Senna and Prost competed in 2 head-to-head championships in the same team.
    I compare the level yes, without pain in the conscience or fear of being exaggerating, with Schumacher who, by virtue of the contract and by law, ran alone without pressure from his teammates, who at the time of Barrichello, could do a better job, with even better results.
    But it seems that Max doesn't choose a partner like Senna and Schumacher did.
    It's another point in Max's favor.
    My opinion.
    - Oh, I was forgetting.
    Senna's YEAR was 93.
    With a Mclarem that has a month to start the championship, I didn't know if I would have an engine to race.
    He competed with Willians unbeatable and still took 5 wins, with a car, theoretically and practically inferior, not worse, but inferior. Having as a competitor at Willians none other than Prost.
    Max has never been tested like this and I don't think it ever will be.🏁

    F1 is about who does the fastest lap on Saturday and then watching the cars drive very fast around the track on sunday and hoping it rains or that there is a big accident and no one gets hurt. There is so little racing that longtime fans can count on just 2 hands all of the exciting moments F1 has ever had. F1 fans are very lucky if 2 out of all the cars on the track have a chance to win. The main F1 talking points are the ATMOSPHERE at the racetrack and the sound of the engines.
