      White looks great on cars with subtle curves i find. It will work on just about anything but personally anything since the late 80's until this day will look good in white. Problem is Pearl White like this requires extra work because it gets visibly and rather disgustingly dirty very quick. Depending on driving style too.

    • @dominikvereno3783

      Nik Brudar I might not have made myself clear; i ment, that when the TCS is turned off, then it's unforgiving, it punishes you at every turn with a powerslide or a burnout everytime you accelerate from a green light.
      I've spoken with two salesman who have driven the F12, and they told me that it's very hard to control this much power without having a computer aid.
      I didn't say it as a judgement on the speed, performance, power but rather the driving experience.

    • @beefbroth6539
      @beefbroth6539 9 лет назад +6

      Dominik Vereno Well said, most people on the internet nowadays only care about the spec sheet numbers while ignoring the actual joy of driving the car. Can't blame them though, most of us won't see these kinds of cars on the road let alone be able to afford them.

    • @dominikvereno3783
      @dominikvereno3783 9 лет назад +6

      Beef Broth you are right! Cars like the Subaru BRZ don't sound that cool on paper, but I had more fun driving it than I had driving an Audi R8, which is vastly more powerful, and obviously faster.

    • @mochoowo
      @mochoowo 9 лет назад +2

      Dominik Vereno When you drive a car like an R8 you can't use most of it's power unless you're on a track, while with a BRZ or a Miata you can put everything down at an interstate ramp or a randoom backroad on your way home, which in a sense, makes underpowered cars alot more usable and fun when it comes to just driving.

    Ferrari and Lamborghini should stick to to naturally aspirated. It is understandable that they want to make some cars like LaFerrari to prove that they have the technology but like in Formula 1, fans miss a lot the V8,V10 and V12's.

    • @theeeMitchi
      @theeeMitchi 9 лет назад +6

      I guess the problem is that emission regulations say NO ...

    • @gaelenski_
      @gaelenski_ 9 лет назад +14

      thee Mitchi The bigger problem is that the fans don't make much money for the company. So you can demand all you like, but you won't get far.

    • @theeeMitchi
      @theeeMitchi 9 лет назад +1

      Not denying that, it's true.

    • @Dgannt
      @Dgannt 9 лет назад +15

      thee Mitchi I don't think it's the emissions that is the biggest problem but the competition that just keeps adding bigger turbos or superchargers to their engines to get more power and being faster than Ferrari's with NA engines. Mclaren and Corvette are 2 clear examples of this problem. While Ferrari via high level engineering gets 600 hp from their 4,5L NA engine in Speciale, all the others have to do is add bigger turbos and voila, they are faster. You can go so far with engineering until it becomes too expensive when competition can add more power much cheaper.

    • @AntoineMardhel
      @AntoineMardhel 9 лет назад +6

      princeworm Oh you poor jaded hipster. I think of this generation of Ferrari it is the most beautiful. However out of all ferrari of course this one is not the most striking, 250 GT Berlinetta SWB comes to mind, and of course the 288 gto.

    • @Gaudine
      @Gaudine 9 лет назад +2

      Antoine Marty How am I a hipster? Of this generation certainly not since the 458 was definitely more gorgeous looking and the 488 looks even better. The 288 gto is a beautiful Ferrari??? Great performer but honestly is that a beautiful design? The 250 GT Berlinetta SWB looks nice but nowhere near as beautiful as the 250 GTO or other 250 GTO variants or the Lusso or the California and the list goes on. Look up the Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso that is basically a f12berlinetta but with a different coachbuilt body.

    Oh man, that sound of the Ferrari V12 !!

  • @jdhazan
    @jdhazan 9 лет назад +73

    In the LaFerrari the V12 is still naturally aspirated. The car is motivated by a naturally aspirated engine PLUS electric motors. So no, this is not the last naturally aspirated V12 in a Ferrari.

    • @theeeMitchi
      @theeeMitchi 9 лет назад +2

      Jeffrey Hazan Well, at least it's basically the same engine, it's just a revised version in the LaFerrari. But you're right

    • @CockatooDude
      @CockatooDude 9 лет назад +2

      Jason Electric is pure power, a gas engine's power delivery is really staggered and jagged. As opposed to the incredible smooth, unrelenting power of an electric motor. And the best part of it is you can make an electric motor as powerful as you want to. Right now there is a British racing company who have a 4000 nm electric racecar. Chris Harris did a review on it.

    • @jimmychanga4130
      @jimmychanga4130 9 лет назад +1

      CockatooDude only issue with electricity is the range it seems. I'm all for hybrids but straight electric cars seem to just lose the soul a big v8 or v12 have. Along with the exhaust.... I think that makes up for the difference in power delivery :)

    • @CockatooDude
      @CockatooDude 9 лет назад +4

      Isaiah Ebben Wait 5-10 years and graphene sheet batteries will make electric cars be able to cross the USA on one charge, I swear it.

    • @matteo.bassini5819
      @matteo.bassini5819 7 лет назад

    hate to say this Alex, but I completely disagree with you on this one. My friend dailies a 599 gtb (paddle shift) and that engine is not smooth. No, I'm not confusing the engine with the transmission. Maybe it is just the exhaust note, but the V12's of recent have been raspy. They all have unequal length headers which, when silenced, sound fine. The enzo and original 599 sounded great, not F50 like, but pretty good for a large v12. Then beginning with the 599 gto, they all received these filthy, vulgar sounding exhaust systems which really didn't suit the nature of the cars. Equal length headers were the way to go (what are on the Zonda, Murcielago, ECT.). That is why I will always revere the 575 as the last, true, smooth V12 Ferrari. If I wanted a straight-piped 350Z or V6 F-type, I'd buy one of those rattle cans. In a V12 Ferrari, however, I wanted smoothness, not rasp and excitement.
    also, I feel like modern v12 Ferraris suffer from role confusion worse than just about any car in production. Is it a grand tourer or an all out supercar because I get conflicting signals. In the past, it was a lap time be damned, all out high-speed cruiser and that gave it a purpose. In the late 90's, the 550 was only 5mph off of the F50 in terms of top speed (199 vs 204) and the intended roles of both cars were clear. The F12 is just a bit too much. It needs more traction, a softer suspension, and a manual option (even if it were just a few like the 599).
    with the 488 gtb, I'm really starting to question if the prancing stallion really knows any of its customers. The Aventador is stupid as everything, but because it is intentionally all-out, ostentatious stupidity at its finest, I'm sure that it'll both sell incredibly well as it already has.

    On Mondays I usually drive my marine blue awesome Jaguar Type-F. Tuesday I switch to my beloved metallic black Aston M. Wednesday, mid of the week, I do enjoy driving my snow white BMW M6 to work. Thursday I push the pedal to the metal in my AWD silver gray GTR. On Friday my charcoal gray 918 porsche spider is a trusted companion. Saturday I love going shopping in my green metallic Lamborghini Huracan. Sundays I go to church and ask for forgiveness to the Lord, for my obscene opulence, in my brand new candy apple red Berlinetta F12.
