As a Band Expert and Coach I have found that the best way to successfully implement resistance bands into your fitness training program is by mastering these 12 Band Exercises first. It will require only one band and following along with me.
Once you have these 12 band exercises mastered, it will be easy to develop numerous variations to use in your workouts.

In my opinion:1- Deadlifts Bands2- Squat Bands3- Push up Bands or Stand Chest Press Bands4- Seated Row Bands5- Pull Down Bands6- Planks (bands on waist attached for lateral resistance)7- Lunge Bands8- Arnold Press Bands

great video! can you show how to do a resistance band on the hyper extension machine?
I'm not sure how that would work but I'll experiment with it.
People usually use that machine for low back and glute development. I target those areas with different exercises which I outline in this article. resistancebandtraining.com/low-back-training-strategies/ I especially like strategy #4.

that's great if you're doing the exercises in your shape. I'm just starting out and have a 65 inch waist and mostly sedentary lifestyle.

I have noticed that in the pushup exercise, there not much resistance in the lower phase of the movement. It's a great exercise, though.
Yes that's true as the more bands stretch the more resistance they give. This can actually be a good thing as it can reduct the chance of injury as you go down in the pushup.
I'm only 5 ft.. Will these bands work for me without shortening it?
Yes. If you need to you can shortern the band by looping it around your foot or hand depending on the exercise.
